When did you quit watching South Park?
When did you quit watching South Park?
I haven't
You're Getting Old, which honestly works pretty okay as a series finale
last year? i avoid comedy central. contemporary society ruined a lot of things for me. started with music a few years ago then hit TV full fucking force.
literally all i watch is now baseball, Olympics, world cup, my 600 lb life and Ramsey shows.
I'll never stop watching it
Lice Capades had me feeling pretty fed up. Was around then I fucked off
The george zimmerman episode
2 eps into trump season. its truly gone to shit
season 13
I must've been around 15 or 14
Around the time they got assblasted for betting all their money on Hillary winning. Then they just spent the season shitting on Trump because their candidate lost.
When I realized Rick and Morty was the thinking man's South Park
S21 Ep1 ten minutes in
in 2008
sometimes i catch it on tv and keep watching, but they're all shit
They shat on the left's obsession with Trump more than they shat on Trump.
The end of season 18. I should have stopped during season 15.
When I canceled my cable.
this. it was shitty before this.
More then ten years ago when it turned to utter shit. I've bumped into episodes a few times since. Every time the show is worse. Only plebs watch this trash anymore.
this. that season was absolute trash. they were trying wayyyyyy to hard. haven't even heard if the episodes after that were funny or not
whatever season guitar queer o was. i could tell they lost their mojo with that episode alone.
It has to be at least 25 years ag.... no wait, that's the Simpsons. I still watch this one.
Season 14 if we're talking about watching every episode of a season on cable. I've watched some episodes from seasons 15-19. I haven't watched any episodes from the last two seasons except for member berries.
Been binge watching it and I lost steam by s12. It just wasn't as enjoyable when the focus was taken away from the kids being kids. I think the WoW ep was the last one I really enjoyed.
I still like it, despite ups and downs
>literally all i watch is now baseball, Olympics, world cup, my 600 lb life and Ramsey shows.
How is it to be 50+ years old?
I didn't.
I stopped enjoying it about 4 seasons back though, I only watch in hope, and to become angry at how bad it is.
Same except maybe 1 season earlier and I haven't seen Member Berries because that sounds fucking stupid
Human Centipad, Funnybot, Faith Hilling, are some of the last episodes I remember watching.
How is it being gay?
I only checked out Member Berries because of the memes that popped up.
The exact moment South Park started its slow decent into the garbage tier that it is today was the episode “The China Problem” holy shit was that bad...their are a few good episodes sprinkled around the later seasons but that was where the quality decline began.
This. Really is where they should have ended it.
I came back because Comedy Channel has like 6 episodes back to back in the afternoons on the weekend and I laughed a bit at the season with PC principal and Garrison running for president but it turned to unwatchable like 3 episodes into the next one so I stopped.
I watch it every week. There's nothing else that comes out on Wednesday so I always end up watching it. Monday and Tuesday are the good BrRips and VOD Friday but very little for Mid-week.
10 years ago. Stupid show for spergs.
The Inception/Hoarding episode
It's so fucking lazy and bad it made me stop watching for years
a couple seasons when they started doing the whole every episode ties in with the next/previous one, when Whole Foods moves there or something. That format kills the show.
When I became a kekistani pepe magapede
No more liberal propaganda for me!
I've always wanted to like South Park, it's got good episodes. Everybody love 'Make Love Not Warcraft', but whenever the show tries to make social or political commentary I can't help but find it reductive and kind of patronizing at times. 'The City Part of Town' is a good example of what I mean , because it brings up and portrays gentrification; but doesn't really do anything with it. And whenever I bring up the shallow nature of South Park's commentary I always hear "it's not supposed to be that smart" even though a disturbingly large number of people take the show far more seriously than it deserves. Then I have to respond with "ironic shitposting is still shitposting". And hey, shitposting can be funny, but good shitposting divorces itself entirely from outside logic or attempt to make sense of it. Which is something that modern South Park refuses to do for the sake of intra-season continuities.
This season
god that was a bad fucking episode. there were better ones that season, though. i watched this whole season this year and it never got better. so fucking pissed.
Around series 5, when that was out.
they should've ended it after 200/201
I agree with this. the tie in format really made it clear that trey and matt are no longer involved for the most part. tie in story lines are much easier for the most part. The console wars/game of thrones arch was trash and was obviously majority writer team's work. Matt and trey have moved on from the show and sadly their writers dont have the magic they had. And the writers are bumbling in the dark now that they are gone. You can tell by how they had to pull the writer's back from making an entire season of trump bashing. looks like the show is done for it seems
After season 10
just looked up the most recent season and it says they junked the continuity approach and is became more contained like its roots.
ganna check it out then.
After Assburgers episode
after You're Getting Old. Literally perfect finale for that series. Now its zombie simpsons tier crap.
>entire episode revolves around trump twitter
Jesus Christ even Moses is embarrassed.
Oh wow, right around the same time
I watched 3 episodes from last season. I'm done with the show.
last season.
Nobody fucking asked
2006-2007 was a small decline
2008 was kinda shitty
2009-was mostly unwatchable
it reached maximum garbage overdrive with whatever season had pewdiepie and treys obvious attempt to fuck lorde
calm down Matt
you have to take your wifes son to school soon
current media has been ruined for years, I just went back and rewatched all the good Adult Swim shows
nothing compares to good old fashioned politics free absurdism like ATHF, Space ghost and Metalocalypse
the season that had the black friday game of thrones episode
nope'd right out. now I only watch seasons 2~9 regularly with a couple of episodes of other seasons up to 13
...
>Metalocalypse
...
STOPS COPYS ME
Somewhere around the time each episode started parodying the week's current events instead of coming up with an original storyline
finale never ever
that would be trey
season 4's cherokee hair tampons about toxins and cleanses
you look a bit too young to be on an adult board like Sup Forums
There was some episode about retards in the woods that was so bad I just stopped.
oh fug :DDD
>the alt-right is real
OHHHHH
whats supposed to be wrong with this pic
Imaginationland.
2006 or 2007, something like that. i still enjoy the early seasons though
Season 19
this
goddamn, that ending hurt too
Why? His parents broke up in Clubhouses too.
because he turned into a jaded fuckjust like me
I have no interest in watching the latest season but have seen all other. Haven't been keeping up episode to episode since 2011 though.
How did you guys like the games?
I felt like in both cases the writing was way better than the current seasons.
The last episode I remember is the one where Cartman summons Cthulhu. Whenever that was.
I think it was the season after You ´re getting Old
but I honestly only enjoyed like one or two episodes each seasons for years
can relate
I try watching / reading older stuff but still sucks that everything modern is so bad nowadays
>abloobloo why are there jews in movies
>gets called out on their embarassing existence
>i-it wasn't us g-guys!!! i-it was some other cartoonishly racist group of idiots
>the alt-right is real
That PC principal season
I watched unto the end of it and decided they had lost it
I still haven't watched the most recent season because the previous one was fucking horrible
Tried to keep up with the most recent season, think I made it to the witches episode. The voices sound so haggard and devoid of passion, and the boys seem like entirely different characters now, they've lost their wit and get bogged down by petty shit like social media and their gadgets. Cartman has gone from the evil, manipulative fucker we all know to some weak willed, sniveling wretch. Cartman of old did worse over less, yet when they smashed his gadgets he just sperged out like an autist.
and fuck me why does it seem like evey arc revolves around some shitty teen movie plot of social media? Even when it's not Garrison/trump it has such a massive presence. It really does feel like modern simpsons, passionless muck for those pennies.
I haven't stopped watching it, but the season I really stopped caring was the one that began all the season-long plotlines. The last two seasons have been incredibly bad and I only watch them because I've spent 20 years of my life watching it.
I recently binged all of it. It turns to shit the moment seasons start to revolve around 1 story and every episode ends on some dumb cliffhanger.
>t. alt-right closet homo appaled that someone is having unconventional straight sex
pathetic
>being this upset
I bet you have 200+ iq dont you?
shit man, i watched episode 1 when it first aired. that was in 97. TVs still had A B splitters.
I remember that. He becomes friends with Cthulhu and convinces him to kill people he doesn't like, like Justin Bieber. Was about then I stopped caring.
This. I watched the episode right after Trump won and I haven't seen one since. It was funny to see Matt and Trey get btfo though.
i'll never quit, I need background noise that I can not focus on.
When they stuck with their GarrisonxTrump strawman after he won the primary and went full retard and continued that shit into the next season.
Guess this what happens when you have a mid life crisis and marry a legit stripper with black son.
>watching non-japanese cartoons in 2005+13
>watching japanese cartoons at all
Not him but i enjoy a medium free of marxist bullshit that ranges from highschool tea time stories up to galactic invasions
Plus i love the range some jap voice actors have
>Plus i love the range some jap voice actors have
jap over expression is terrible
It's still funny as shit if you don't buy into the preaching bits.
