Willem Dafoe definitely earned Best Supporting this year.

He's the type of actor who works for the fillm maker and actually gives a shit about the film he's in

But he won't win Best Supporting Actor this year, it'll go to Sam Rockwell. I don't care about the oscars anymore though since they snubbed Blade Runner 2049

He's a big guy.

Willem Dafoe. Can't you read?

...

You should check out his theatre group that he was in with spalding gray. Good shit

For you

Jesus Christ Peter, you don't know the shit I've seen in my time in Africa. It's insane, all the niggers raping each other, giving each other aids, starving African kids. I thought genociding them would solve the issues but brutally putting them down like animals made me feel things Peter. Just kill me already spidey I can't go on feeling sorry for them

Why was Dafoe okay with Raimi's dialogue?

>"but that's it"
you couldn't be more wrong.

Both Dafoe and Rockwell deserve the win, I'm kind of torn on who should win. And yeah he's a fantastic actor and artist - just watch any interview he's in and you'll see he actually cares.

What is that from?

dafoe was heavily critical to the directing style of sean baker and almost walked out on set

That scene was actually ad-libbed. Osborne was originally supposed to express his regret for hunting down Jews, but Dafoe didn't think it made sense for the character to feel any sympathy for beings he regarded as less than roaches, so he went into a monologue based on Dafoe's real-life experiences in Africa to humanize the character. Rami, who is well known for despising when actors go off script was so impressed he kept the scene.

it was a different time

Thanks!

you people need to fucking leave and never come back
75% of this board actively has open disdain for film and cinema. I have no fucking idea what brings you here

Woody Harrelson should get it.
