Could have used more interaction, but I guess it also needed set-up.

Special #3:
Kirby's Sandman!
Bump
> Shane Davis and modern Howard Chaykin
Man DC sure is rolling out the world class artistic talent.
At least we got Allred on a whole mini
huh. isn't this the same guy who wanted to hang muslims or some shit? just surprised he's getting work
I LOVE golden age "circle panels."
>Modern Chaykin Art
I always forget how offputting it is.
No problem.
Was the original Newsboy Legion and Boy Commando series' good? I'm making my way through Kirby's bibliography right now
I'm not a fan of his Golden Age work. For me Kirby gets good in the middle of his time at Marvel, around the time Galactus shows up, and peaks in the 70's when he's at his blocky art best
Alright then, thanks
This page hurts my eyes

Oboy.
I've missed this. Which was the first Kirby special?
Orion
Worth reading?
New Gods special
I'd say it is
Why is Chaykin's art coloring not terrible for once?
It has to look normalish for the King
...
Chaykin really loves the "traitorous actor" trope
