Has your fanwork ever been recognized by actual professionals in the industry

>thread is getting pushed to page 10 by all the pickle rick threads
well this could have been a cool thread

Only because I'm one of the few people actually doing fanart of the show they work on, yeah.

Still cool that they'd even give a passing acknowledgement, though.

Wut show user

Well, a cosplay I did a while was "recognized" as the way you say.

Hanazuki.

Couple of the folks on who work on it occasionally come across my fanart, liking and sometimes retweeting it. Not really a big deal, but like I said, even the fact they give a tertiary shit is nice.

No, but a meme I've made spread like wildfire in the fandom I participate in, so that's just as cool.

The official bojack blog did
Also don't know if it counts but also from there she is ! videos posted my fanart
I didn't message neither so I'm happy they noticed me

Well, uh....

There's a certain muffin enthused character

It must be nice to feel part of something, even if it's only a small part ;_;

my fanart was "recognized" so to speak by Brianne Drouhard a couple years back when i was reading her web comic series harpy gee. I got her attention pretty quickly because her comic was fairly new and didn't have a lot of fanwork yey but the uh.... content wasnt exactly her thing so
she kind of just acknowledged it existed and probably joked about it with her friends on how awful it was.

, her just noticing the drawings of a random nobody like me would really make me feel good though

LET ME SEE THAT KRUSSY

Yeah, not individually, but yeah

I brought a fanbase back from the dead with a meme

>filename
lmao how does it feel

Dick and Horny?

I told Pan Pizzeria that he laughs like Micheal Jackson HEE HEE HEE, so he stopped laughing like that.

No way in hell

I make wallpapers from comic panels and covers and some of my posts were rebloged by the artists, like Brandon Graham and Farel Dalrymple

She actually made a cameo in the show, but because of her name, some SJWs headed by Yamino tried making sure she disappeared forever before they folded and decided to rename her. That's as much as I know, anyway.

Xavier ?

im not sure what character you are referring to

Damn Mr Krabs you thicc as fuck.

we are talking about Derpy from mlp right?

You really pushed the ball on that one? How?
I thought it was just a fan reaction to an animation error.

Are you under the impression that fanart is how that character came to exist?

Because it's not

Well yeah it was, but the name wasn't a thing until she and a certain other character were making repairs on town hall or some shit.

Yeah,, see

Yes.

So are you saying you singlehandedly made Derpy a thing, or merely contributed?

The writers behind Harvey Beaks printed out my fan doodle (along with everyone else's) and pinned it on their office wall.

I'm gonna miss the show.

No no no no, not me alone. It was the fanbase at large
>mfw I misread the OP

well ain't i just pants on head retarded.

We all are, user. this might be gay,
but thanks for helping Derpy be a thing, she's one of the good ones.

It's ok. I didn't know that Shadbase and Shadman are the same person. Although I consider my lack of Shad knowledge a good thing.

there have been Xavier threads long before your stupid forced meme

like a monkey paw

I've had a couple of my lewd Magisword pictures complimented by one of the artists on Magiswords. I know a friend who sewed a giant Hater plush that got complimented by Craig McCracken on Tumblr.

yeah, then again I did tweet at him knowing he retweets a lot of fan art, and its not a particularly massive fanbase.
Oh and I got noticed by the official cartoon network tumblr, not sure if that really counts though.

Lieber, Flynn, and maybe Spencer have pictures of me in cosplay on their twitters, if that counts.

I get a few likes, reblogs, and the very occasional polite follow from staff, not the show runners. I would attribute it to drawing many shows and drawing them early in their fandom life cycle more than anything.

I do get some follows from Japanese pros as well, and I'd like to think that's them coming out of the westaboo closet.

Not sure if it counts but the voice actors of the characters i drew retweeted my art.

I created the Professor Badass image macro and it's help sustain Kevin Stuart's career since leaving ESPN (where he was working on a photo shoot) and start his own shirt company. We've talked about it briefly.

I posted the thing like twice to Sup Forums and figured everyone had forgotten about it.

Dam mr.krab u thicc as fucc

Ayy same, some of the people who work on Hanazuki posted my art from the threads. I've also had a bunch of people who work on SU like my fanart including Sugar and Ian, although that was pretty early on before the show had a big fanbase.

Oh, and the 7D staff put some of my fanart on their wall even though I'd drawn porn of the same characters so that was kind of cool.
