ITT: DnD Capes

Post your favorite character, and what class they would be in a DnD type setting. Discussion is encouraged. I'll start:
>Sorcerer build
>Max charisma
>uses more practical, trick based spells than actual combat magic

Hotspot
>Paladin
>Max Will
>DEUS VULT!

sorcerer, prestige class wild mage

Ranger

Maybe prestige class Arcane Archer for trick arrows. Would work best if there was a rogue version for tech arrows but arcane archer will have to do

There's no will stat in DnD

Wizard, specialist in Transmutation, with heavy dabbling in necromancer (Ultron, Jocasta, etc) and Conjuration (science explorer shrunk tech). Cross class schools Enchantment and Divination.

Ok...now I think I want to make this character

>Peter Parker Spiderman
A monk, maybe

>Rogue
Drawing blank here.

>Clint Barton Hawkeye
fighter-ranger

>Jason Todd Red Hood
fighter-rogue

>Moon Knight
fighter with a bit of cleric, I guess

>Wally West Flash
Warlock, you know it's true

Lawful neutral bard, low CHA but makes up for being excellent roleplayer Secretly an ascended paladin but no one in the party knows that

Hank is the most magician-esque scientist in Marvel.

Constantine doesn't really work with DnD, he's actually closer to a horribly unoptimized bard with a level dip in wizard and warlock or NPC class, he's better represented using point-buy systems.

I would call Clark Kent an Urban Ranger. He knows how to get the scoop really well. Spoiler is on point though

>>Peter Parker Spiderman
>A monk, maybe
Perfect

>>Rogue
Monk-sorcerer. Spells include necromantic draining spells and transmutation spells to augment herself, bulls strength, stoneskin, etc.

>>Clint Barton Hawkeye
>fighter-ranger
I think I would go Bard Ranger here.

>>Jason Todd Red Hood
>fighter-rogue
>>Moon Knight
>fighter with a bit of cleric, I guess
and a bit of rogue as well
>>Wally West Flash
>Warlock, you know it's true
...yeah...

>>>Clint Barton Hawkeye
>>fighter-ranger
>I think I would go Bard Ranger here.
It fits, I guess.

>>>Moon Knight
>>fighter with a bit of cleric, I guess
>and a bit of rogue as well
Sounds right.

>4th edition
>class? hah, class doesn't matter
>all the fucking same

Wizard Artificier - insists that magic doesn't exist however

Bard with a ring of Diminutive size

I don't play DnD (it was never popular around here), but can somebody do these:

>Maker (Ult!Reed)
>616 Tony Stark
>Sulerior Octopus (Doc Ock)
>Doctor DOOM
>Doctor Fate
>Doctor Strange
>Fantomex

Tiefling Fighter.

>>Maker (Ult!Reed)
straight up Artificer
Tony Stark
would be easier to seperate Iron Man and Tony..but if just Tony, I would say Artificer as well
>>Sulerior Octopus (Doc Ock)
I'm going to cheat and go Shadowrun with this one cause he's is the perfect Decker. He mods himself with tech and merges with it so the tech becomes an extension of his body
>>Doctor DOOM
God. No, I have to go with epic level Bard tbqh, and 2nd edition cause AD&D Bards were broken as fuck.
>>Doctor Fate
Wizard, Abjurer. Abjuration is the school that does wards and protection spells
>>Doctor Strange
Wizard, no specialty
>>Fantomex
fuck...you stumped me there.

Thanks a ton user! I'll check all that later.

>Jonah Hex
Best class I can think of is the Gunslinger hombrewed class from Critical Role.

Barbarian

Green Lantern/Sinestro

>Member of an order
>granted powers by an immortal benefactor and subject to their strict rules set
>wear the sigil and recite an oath
>powers specifically used to counter a type of undead
>function is to maintain law and order in the universe as declared by their masters

Cleric

I would say Paladin actuallt

>>>Doctor Strange
>Wizard, no specialty

Strange is more of a cleric with a slight dip in wizard. His power is more tied to his loyalty to the Vishanti and calling on their powers in his spells. Hist most common is conjuring the power of Cytorrak. And they will occasionally get pissed off at him and his abilities are incredibly reduced until he appeases them again.

Seconding this, Cleric of Vishanti and/or Eternity.

Or if you want to get more specific about it a cleric of Agomotto and Hoggoth. Gods of magic.

He also has a nice collection of epic level wondrous items that make him a beast when he decides to use them together.

White Witch of the Legion of Super-Heroes works explicitly on D&D style rules. She has to prepare each spell in advance, and I'm fairly certain she has a limited number of spell slots too. The reference is solidified with Legionnaires actually playing literal D&D around the time she's introduced.

Also, pretty sure Wondy counts as a paladin. The non-shit type of paladin who's actually allowed to do stuff without the DM being a twat.

And then when Sinetro goes yellow lantern he is a Fallen Paladin cause they get cause fear and fear aura and the like

Good point, he is defiantly a cleric. I'm a 3.5 fag no, Pathfinder is bad, it just explodes the game balance problems that 3.5 has so what domains should the Vishanti have. Knowledge and....

Fight speced for pure damage soak.

Knowledge magic and travel seem the most likely

5E High CHA Rogue with arcane/magic initiate I don't remember which is the name of the feat. Let's him know some cantrips and rituals. Prestidigitation and detect magic I guess.

Ghost Rider
>Infernal pact warlock

Raven
>Chaos sorcerer

Aquaman
>Psionic warrior

Druid, unless there's another class that I'm not familiar with that would apply.

>Large magical beast

What do you think?

ironman is easy if you talk with your dm. for people who dont know, you arent limited to JUST whats on the page. you can talk with your dm to mix classes or use a weird race or have a weird ability or weapon or whatever as long as you both work them out to be balanced.

you could be a lizard wizard who gets buffed when he eats flies but has shit movement speed or has shit stats if he doesnt eat flies. you could be a pelican monk and have the story be that you got stuck as your spirit animal but your human shaped spirit can still punch and kick.

ironman is easy because you can just be a wizard artificer who has, before the adventure started, created a power suit out of some kind of golem or warforged and gains great strength and defense and has access to powerful projectile spells and bombs and such, but can only be in the suit for a limited time, after which he reverts to normal stats or it requires extremely rare magical fuel so you can only use the suit for emergencies or whatever you can think of. thats the beauty of these games

kyle rayner

>Kyle Rayner , this thread is closed

i dont think theres a class for finding people in fridges

Dr. Fate

>Where's the Mt Dew!?
>IN THE FRIDGE!

psion with astral construct

He's a high level druid that gained elemental form

>Druid
Beast Boy
B'wana Beast
Geo Force
Poison Ivy

>Totem Berserker
Vixen
Animal Man

>Warrior
Hawkman
Hawkgirl
Steel
Deathstroke

>Paladin
Captain Marvel

so many street level characters are either monks or rangers

Shit that's way better. Man I haven't touched a table top game in decades. I should pop over /tg/ one of these days.

Just as there are no Paladans in any edition worth a fuck.

I took the alignment/character test, and I'm a Cahtoic Neutrual Human Wizard.

Ability Scores:
Strength- 12
Dexterity- 11
Constitution- 14
Intelligence- 14
Wisdom- 14
Charisma- 12

Which character am I?!
