Rick and Morty S3 E4

What did ya think about it?

Cape Shit btfo

better then the other episodes so far

Better than 3, and WAY better than 2.

Pickle Rick>Episode 1>Mad Max>Vindicators

This, but it was still pretty predictable and somewhat cliche. It's like the season blew its load with the premiere and it's slowly erecting itself again.

Predictable

Too tryhard.

The whole episode was just mindless gore and blood. Like torture porn is now a substitute for humor. So much that I am surprised that Seth MacFarlane didn't write it.

Other than Rick doing the pretend finger-pointers I do not think there was a single joke in that episode

>but NoobNoob/NewpNewp xD

Please don't with that, yeah it's a joke but it's just riding off of the ever so hilarious Mr. Poopybutthole

I want to fuck that space bitch

Swap Pickle Rick and Episode 1 and that's my rating.

Thought it was fun

It wasn't all that good for me.

I wanted to like it, but something about the episode just made me dislike it and ambivalent about future episodes.

It was boring.
At least S1,2 switched between shit and good episodes.
S3 is just boring overall.

I don't know if this is Sup Forums's weird hateboner or a backlash to the praise for the season outside of Sup Forums influencing me, but I just didn't dig this episode. I'm getting tired of Rick jerking himself off, the boring slog of grimdark, the "haha everything sucks these tropes suck" comments with very little actually being said. Just annoying.

Boring, just like the rest of the season so far.

Call me a faggot but i found it hilarious. Maybe its because the last two episodes were such shit but i fucking loved it

The only thing I particularly enjoyed was that Morty seemed to have a sort of meta sense of being able to know the whole thing was predictable and that Rick just wants to torture everyone over their faults while having the most of them. The whole thing was insanely predictable, that the main cool guy would die first or that the heroes would turn out to not be the heroes they thought they were due to rick, but overall it's just more rick and morty humor which isn't really funny.

hilarious how boring and bad it was

MacFarlane isn't responsible for that era of family guy but I completely understand what you mean. They used the same formula where they had long unnecessary stretches of dialogue to hammer the jokes in. Real shame; it was a fun idea for an episode that they completely ran into the ground.

It's starting to become Mr Pickles 2.0.

I liked it. Felt much closer to Rick & Morty we know.

>Rick's little dance when he jumps in front of the turrets
>Finger-gun when mocking Morty
>"Hey guys, remember when Alan wanted to use a ghost train?"
>"Shoot some baskets, make it about Hawaii."
>Israel Joke

Bad episode but I'd let Vance molest me

That all those people complaining that they replaced actual humour with violence and gore were completely right. Also,
>Morty's heroes kelp dying in front of him
>he doesn't react at all
Good writing, so glad we were able to experience this.

>tip toeing around isreal

Was it genuine fear to write a firm stance?
Was it ironic about how people are afraid to take a stance?
Was it ironic about people not taking a stance on isreal because the writers genuinely were too scared to take a stance?

I would have preferred it if it "Rick has to try to get along with some lovable rogues/anti heroes without it getting too grimdark" instead I got HAHA AVENGERS SUCKS AND UR DUM FOR LIKING THEM with the occasional joke every few minutes.

No, it's Rick saying dumb political shit while he's blackout drunk and then shying away from the dumb shit he's said now that he's sober.

People going on dumb political tirades when they're high or drunk is not an uncommon thing.

I felt morty was out of character
it was ok over all

It was a joke about how delicate a subject Israel is and how easy it is to paint anyone on a side as either anti-semetic or anti-muslim.

This episode was pretty funny in a way. The point was that Morty's idols were generic and lacked anything really special whatsoever. He was only following the hype just like everyone else and no one sees the vindicaters for what they really are; a disappointment. Just another ep about disappointment. Same could be said about this show. We are Morty and the vindicaters are the show. It's pottery.

The strawmans don't even make sense. The Avengers (the popular MCU ones) don't act this bad. These strawmans are as bad as when Superman fought "the Authority". Just poorly written characters to be defeated (in this case, killed in bloody/gory manner) because the author hates them.

Rick doesn't give a fuck about earth, why Isreal?
Why not some made up sci fi controversy?
Make it about the bird or gear people, dont use rick to make people side or protest something real, thats.....dumb.

I'm so pissed they just killed all the cool characters, but the unlikable cunt stays alive. I would love to see more Crockbot and Ants. Like we are never getting Lincler again.

remember, it is the darkest year of their adventures

Part of the joke was that Rick refused to say anything concrete. It's hardly actually taking a stance.

I feel like the first episode set the bar really high and it has yet to be reached.
This episode just made me not like Rick that much.

Weird, everything about it seems good, just all the jokes kind of fall flat.

It's just the show's formula, every episode is centered around this shit, which is why it wasn't really funny after season 1, it's all the same

tee hee God DAmn
> noop noop rules

Rick is inconsistent as shit and follows rule of funny, that's why.

Sorry you didn't find it funny, but I thought it was one of the best jokes since I didn't expect it.

Rick said "heroes of color", that's all you need to know that this episode was written by one of the new diversity hires.

This is how RM dies, with a hamfisted out of place mention of Israel.

Rick and Jerry episode next...

Rick, you lied to us

That would be sexist, user.

I think this might have actually been my least favourite episode ever. Even worse than the intergalactic cable ones. Just did not enjoy it at all.

It's literally "my character is way better than your characters" and making the character assholes just so you don't sympathize with them and you know what? I sympathized with them a lot fucking more than Rick.

>Sorry you didn't find it funny, but I thought it was one of the best jokes since I didn't expect it.
there was no joke you retard, just unfunny Sup Forums crap

>A MILLION TIMES BETTER
I liked it, yeah.

Yeah, we all know the show at surface level but we aren't discussing the basics lol.
Right, so the writers are dropping a small redpill on how any critique of isreal is instantly labeled antisemitism...why not drop a real redpill about Isreal?

Like them forcing refugees on Europe under "tolerence and diversity" while using walls and manditory military conscription to maintain a white Jewish ethnostate?

Must be sad to only be able to see the world through buzzwords and grouping everything based on websites.

Well they all kind of turned on Morty right before they died, and no doubt that Morty is used to death by now. His reaction or lack there of was still kind of boring, yet understandable.

Just 6 more episodes. Be strong bros. Rick will die at the end and we'll be saved.

I got a chuckle out of the quips while being choked bit.

Overall this season has been a dud, it's missing the frantic energy and genuine fun and has replaced it with uhh...parodies? if that's what that was.

Best episode of the season. It's at least up to season two quality again, and it's renewed a little bit of hope for the rest of the season for me.

I questioned Morty reaction too until I realized the actual application of such unesiccary reactions.
>character dies
>cuts to Morty
>"AHHH! RICK?!"
rinse and repeat..

I actually really like the ant character, so it's too bad we'll never see him again. Reminds me of that Spider-Man villain made of a bunch of spiders.

>morty legit snapping at rick pretty constantly
>just goes and fucking disarms the bomb like this happens every other week
>Both him and rick completely wrong about drunk ricks true motives
>morty and rick razzing the star lady as they're being choked

I dunno. I enjoyed most of the episode.

The correct opinion.

Don't quote yourself from another thread, bitch. Besides, it's 1>3>2>4

That joke was actually a little funny. But they kept forcing it. If they had just dropped it after Morty mentioned it, it would have been fine. But they had to stretch it thin with unnecessary dialogue

>everyone sucking episode 1's dick
>I literally can't even remember it
??????

While typing this I remembered the bug trying to get info from Rick. No, that episode was weak. I put it below Mad Max and Pickle Rick but above Avengers

It's also their least funny.

>why not drop a real redpill
Because not everything wants to be propaganda, you partisan hack. Some things are just making a joke about a concept.

Yeah, Morty just being done with that shit and figuring it all out easily was great. I wasn't really a fan of the rest though, felt too rushed. Yes, I know the fact that these guys are introduced as if we already know them is part of the joke, but we didn't know them long enough for me to care about their (obvious) deaths. They were memorable only for how gruesome those inevitable deaths were.

i liked it to
i like how it also didn't actually go down the feelings route, and really did just have rick being a shithead

Probably because it was so long ago and also because you have shit taste.

It was a big anti payoff where Rick, while starting off in the most secure jail in the galaxy and the Earth has been taken over, simultaneously destroys the galactic government and the Council of Ricks while screaming "SZECHUAN SAUCE!" at the camera. Then Beth and Jerry got divorced.

It honestly was an ok episode but felt like it was missing SOMETHING that previous seasons had

I am not someone who overhypes things but the last two seasons i could just put on the background and listen to,meanwhile this new season i wouldn't it was terrible just very mediocre (expect for the 2nd episode, that one was complete horse-shit)
I feel like the writing crew tried to hard to appease to the majority of people considering how popular their show is right now and well failed miserably

I will keep watching till the end but i hope they can pull it around somehow

Why not just be an asshole about it? Not like I can kick your ass over the internet...

Felt pretty indifferent about it really. Wouldn't really say there was anything I disliked aside from the repeated excessive gore and over extending a couple punchlines like with that guy's lower half flying around painting everything with blood.
The whole season so far has felt rather bland to me.

I'd prefer the writers stopped trying to go for some deep and meaningful philosophical shit about how nihilism is the only way to go and just do a couple stupid episodes. Just some wacky adventures, that was what gave Rick and Morty that impact when it found that meaningful note, whether it was nonsense, or held some truth or not.

This man speaks the truth. The show thinks it's smarter than it actually is, and needs to bring itself down with some legitimately goofy adventures, not adventures to throw over "deep" stuff the show's already said a million times.

>HEROES OF COLOR

So does Rick give a fuck about Morty or not

I thought it was great. Really noticing the improved animation.

Pickle Rick was very bleh, but this episode was great fun. Makes me sad how Sup Forums hates this show. The new seasons of Steven Universe have honestly sucked shit, but yet that show gets a blowjob on this board.

I'd love to be able to come here and shoot the shit about this show, but not gonna happen I guess.

I likes hearing Mr Robot, holding me over until season 3

Maybe they want to pander to easy entertained retards who watch crap like Family Guy.
It's easier to use dumb action and violence than making good jokes.

Yeah this.

It felt like the anti political correct jokes were the writers trying to prove how hip and not SJW they were after hiring half women writers.

This was a shit episode that felt like filler

>Filler
>Rick and Morty

What does this even mean? You want episodes that push some central narrative forward?

He cares in his own fucked up way. There's a handful of episodes that demonstrate this. Rick Potion 9, Close Rick Counters, and Get Schwifty

You should've been here before the show got really popular. Almost universally loved, able to discuss it while almost no shitposting.

He literally sacrificed himself for Morty in the time splitting ep.
>Almost universally loved
Yes, when the show was still good you fucking retard.

>felt like filler
Who the fuck invited you overarching narrative fags to our episodic Adult Swim comedy sci fi cartoon? Get the fuck out.

So Undertale syndrome; if I were to compare it to Sup Forums.

>First 2 seasons
>REDDIT AND MEMEY SHIT SHOW 2EDGY 4U
>Seasons 3 comes around
>Seasons 1 and 2 were masterpieces!

Never change Sup Forums.

>Heroes of colour
>This is triggering me
>I wondered why it wasnt that diverse

Jesus fuck

The episode was the best of the season, I think.

Too much meta humor, but at least it was funny and the plot twists were good.

I like that they're still doing episodic adventures, but it's a little weird with how broken all the characters are.

t. kike

Better than the two/three, still way worse than the first one. Weak season so far. Also the violence seems boring overdone and out of place.

They were named after actual colors.

Because S3 is so shit, it makes the bad episodes look like masterpieces.
>but at least it was funny
it wasn't

>Premiere: Tambry is revealed to have lived
>Rickmancing the Stone: Summer-wank episode.
>Pickle Rick: Some poop jockey shrink woman talks down to Rick
>V3: Supernova is the only Vindicator who survives and almost kills the protagonists

Fucking Feminists ruin everything.

>Female writers
>Female hero is the only one who doesnt die
>Her powers are her summoning magic from "The Star Mother"
Huh.

Ending joke gave me a good chuckle.

This.

Worst episode so far

Why are you watching this show?

>Worse than interdimensional cable part 2.

Because I liked it before you fucking retard. Why aren't you on reddit you fucktard?

The joke required a punchline that the audience would immediately recognize as being unrelated to the current situation. A more sci-fi concept wouldn't have worked there.

No you didn't.

It felt like they were focusing on the family post divorce but this episode was nothing in terms of character interactions.
