Most guys who can grow even bad facial hair don't shave. Corden hasn't done a single show, even when Mrs. Obama guested on car-pool, that he didn't have stubble on his triple chins. Even day time soap opera actors now go around with peach fuzz to three days work of 5'oclock. Fallon even grew hair for a bit while he grew his silly 'stache.

Pretty much the only guys who still shave all the time are newscasters.

there's nothing wrong with applying a fair amount of sun screen so that you can have a tone you like but white isn't bad, assuming you have clear skin and good bone structure.

pic attached is one of the US gymnast from the last two olympics. IF you do a search for him you can see he's rarely tanned even though his college is (I think) Oklahoma, but definitely someplace in the midwest where the summers definitely would not keep you pasty white unless you planned for it.

Sort of is, to be "pasty" implies you're not getting enough sun, meaning your skin is likely unhealthy, certain amount of sunlight is good for the skin.

That being said, I don't think anybody ever loses sleep about being pasty and it's nothing that would occur once you left the house for a couple days, it's really a non issue and the usage here is less about looking pale and more about the lifestyle that would require one to be pasty than anybody being mad about being pasty, in order to GET pasty you kind of have to be a shut in/hermit, or just a vampire
