Incredibles 2

Is it really going to be about taking care of jack jack? No... timeskip or anything?
Thoughts?

It's going to be about Elastigirl kicking ass.

who cares, thereʻs only one thing most of us care about anyway

>unknown benefactor bankrolls supers

isnt this the exact same plot of the first one? i turned the trailer off at that point

I know right?
Also anyone else think the voice is way off for Mr. Incredible?

Well, he is the better part of two decades older.

>we won't see her daughter develop these proportions

>no timeskip
>no jack jack being isolated and ostracised for being a freak rather than a super
>no dash struggling with learning how to and what it is to be a super
>no violet wanting no part in being a super but struggling to come to terms with normie life
>no helen and bob coming to terms with getting older and their powers and relevance fading
>no helen and bob having a crisis of identity given that the one thing that has defined their lives is disappearing
Fucking years of speculating and shitposting on Sup Forums hoping for something decent, and instead we get this shit

>Fuck....

Its going to be propaganda about men becoming house-husbands.

the original film was explicitly pro-nuclear family
disney is rectifying this
the film is brad bird's forced penance for the financial disaster of tomorrowland

Being a house-husband is great, it's like being a NEET except it's constructive to sit about playing childrens games all day and you get to fuck the woman who pays for everything for you.

Thats the B plot

Main plot is Elastigirl and then she gets kind controlled

>"men shouldn't take care of their childreeen"

the absolute state of the shitposters

MIND controlled

who are you quoting

my favorite part is getting to play my nintendo switch all day. i have the best wife :)

>shadman

If Elastigirl becoming the main hero while Bob takes care of the children is feminism, it means that Bob becoming the main hero while Helen took care of the children was misogyny?

You are not a man unless you step up and provide for your wife and family. You have failed in your duty and you will always be unworthy of respect in the eyes of your children and community.

This.
You could shitpost all day, watch every movie or sport event, listen to any music, and play any vidya.
The hardest things would be picking up the kids from school or cleaning.

I would love this shit.

not at all. its another character assassination. helen's set up to be the one to sacrifice her desire to become "top dog" in the first one (as evidenced in the interview scene before the movie starts) to take care of her family and accept the reality that supers are never going to be coming back.
bob is set up to be the one who has the desire to settle down and have a family, but upon realizing how dull and uninspiring the normie life is, goes out of his way to do vigilante missions with lucius every wednesday
it's these character traits that made them feel real and relatable, at the same providing a good contrast to their personalities which led to a lovable chemistry between them.

now tell me, why would a woman who holds a "family first" morality suddenly leave all that behind and go out to do some hero work again? she despised bob going vigilante in the first one because she didn't want him jeopardizing the family every time so he could relive the past. now, all of a sudden, she's going to be the one doing it and that's okay? it doesn't make sense.

8 Simple Rules is the only house-husband kino worth watching
and you can't find it anywhere to watch

It's your fault for hyping it up. Textbook hlf3 disease.

A man should put his childhood dreams to the side, step up to the plate, get a job, and valiantly care for his family. This is a man who should be honored and his work should be appreciated. You have put undue pressure and hardship on your wife. It is a sacrifice for you to bear; to place the burden on her is an act of cowardice.

this. hate the story they came up with.

WHAT ABOUT THE UNDERMINER

...

you can do all these things while still achieving your dreams, silly.

10 minute fight sequence to open the movie, then he's gone for the rest.

god damn THICCCCCCCC

>now tell me, why would a woman who holds a "family first" morality suddenly leave all that behind and go out to do some hero work again?
Because she released how much she missed saving the world and being a hero after the events of the first movie? People aren't static unchanging things, it's not a fucking hard concept to understand. Plus you can make jokes about how women change their minds all the time.

>Tfw Sup Forums has been invaded by literal geriatrics

I wanna live in a timeline were Disney left The Incredibles the fuck alone desu.

Either do a complete timeskip sequel or don't do it. No ones waited 15 years to see the Incredibles 1.2

notice how you mention something from the beginning of the movie and not from the end where she has fully gone through her arc and accepts being a superhero back into her life, she even dons the mask before Bob does.

you guys are just jealous because a woman has the lime light. yass queen.

>she even dons the mask before Bob does.
by this i meant during the last scene with the udnerminer if it wasn't clear

Exactly, but some faggots can't understand that a women might not want to sacrifice her dreams forever to be a housewife

>>no jack jack being isolated and ostracised for being a freak rather than a super
This was never going to happen, Jack Jack's crazy array of powers was always meant to represent a babies potential to grow into anything. All the powers are just representations of the family member's personalities.

men who hold these views post on Sup Forums all day

Really makes you think.

So if you aren't men then what are you?

We could just wait and see how they write it instead of getting mad

shes literally being mind controlled lol its stupid as fuck

>tfw you've been waiting all these years for Violet getting THICC like her mom in the next installment
It's not fair. At least Helen is still mommykino

too much ass desu

I don't know how to feel about this.

Mr. Incredible was the only good character of the family and they say he won't have much screentime. Now the movie focuses on elastigirl who was one of the most boring characters in the first movie, who's only liked because of the porn

t. future divorcees

According to the leaks, the tycoon is using her as propaganda to make heroes look good, because people like Mr. Incredible and Frozone are too stronk and therefore too dangerous. Her success means that every super, including Mr. Incredible and the children, are gonna be able to become heroes again. So. if the leaks are right, she's doing it for her family and for all the superhero community. Bob being so obsessed with her succeeding (as seem on the trailer), may suggest she's doing it for him and he's still the crazy one about being a hero again.

So really, no one can call "character assassination" until the leaks are proven wrong

Fuck off back to the Sup Forums retirement home Agnes.

...

I wished they did something like toy story 3 or monster university with "time skips"
Like, here's an outline i just came up with
>jack jack is off to college
>supers are back in the public's eyes
>millennials who grew up thinking they were special learn they are insignificant next to a super
>public (mostly millennial) discontent similar to pre-super ban
>Secret society of "normies" discover a way to "depower" supers
>Jack Jack will serve as our vehicle as we witness the growing hateful sentiment towards supers as he is the first member of the incredible family that grew up in an era post-super returning
Still gonna be hopeful as I really liked the anti-millennial undertone the first movie had

>the anti millennial tone of the first movie
You people are beyond help.

>the anti-millennial undertone the first movie had

wat

>there are people who won't think Sup Forums is reddit

youtube.com/watch?v=1E9pKU_N15A
youtube.com/watch?v=JuSD8gy-NfA
youtube.com/watch?v=GYmHYQPaHaw

>There are still people who think Sup Forums isn't Reddit
Keep up Delores

>It's going to be about Elastigirl licking ass
FTFY

I was phoneposting in the shitter, my b nigga

I actually misread your post is all, my bad nigga

cliche after cliche

and you believe this is anti-millenial because...

...

i don't think dash would be struggling with anything, he would basically be the flash but an Olympic athlete instead of a scientist.

>One line about giving trophies for mediocrity and kids being dumb means the Incredibles is a anti millennial movie
Ok.

Thanks for the advice Walter White. Christ you faggots are pathetic

>too much ass

Never said it was antimillennial only said it had an undertone.
These scene criticized the current culture of the time. Millennials grew up in an environment where participation trophies and people giving complement was made as to not tarnish a kid's self-esteem
It is just like in how in the trailer Bob is criticizing the new system of education with the new way of doing math.
The people making these movies are secretly using it to criticize current trends in early education

Holy shit

You're a fucking moron. The comment in the fight scene about trophies for mediocrity isn't painting Bob in a positive light. Or Helen for that matter.

The point of the scene is that Bob and Helen are both wrong and right, and that a compromise between the two is the right solution. Helen is wrong about not letting Dash compete, but correct that he can't be the number 1 superstar. Bob is wrong about wanting Dash to join sports because he could trounce everyone putting in hard work with a natural gift, but he's right that sports would be good for him. It's a very realistic portrayal of a couple's dispute.

The movie literally ends with Helen and Bob cheering for Dash and encouraging Dash to get second or third. There's no undertone of anti participation trophies. Dash and the family are specifically very proud of his not first place position at the end of the movie.

If anything I'd argue the movie is saying regardless of your feelings of participation trophies. The fact that your kid is out there doing there best and growing is what's important.

>my wife's son

She does that because she had to to protect her husband and family.

All of the “could have been’s” of Toy Story 2 were addressed in Toy Story 3, it’s not impossible for an Incredibles 3 to happen. In fact, it’s a near-guarantee if 2 makes money.

I'd like to spend time with my kids, but I hate cleaning too much.

Really that's the only thing that matters. Trophies are just shiny hunks of metal. But competition is necessary to encourage growth at that age.

dont care as long as i get to see elastigirls feet

I'm confused.

The narrative was that housewives had 'the most difficult' job and now it's wrong?

Someone was (((lied))) to.

I can't even begin to describe how mad this makes me.

Everything about it is FUCKING WRONG

WHY IS THIS THE STORY THEY'RE DOING

IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE THAT THEY WOULD DO A GENERIC AS FUCK MEME FOLLOW UP INSTEAD OF A FOURTEEN YEAR TIME SKIP

THE UNDERMINER ONLY EXISTED TO ESTABLISH THAT THEY HAD GROWN AS A FAMILY, HE WASN'T AN ACTUAL FUCKING CLIFFHANGER ENDING

>via The Art of Manliness.com

Why would you have expected anything decent? Your ideas are equally as fan-fiction tier as the actual trailer

It'll be like 10 minutes at the beginning, possibly to introduce new viewers to the characters.

Jack is baaaaad and evil, but the family has to accept that he's different while the young midget lady wants to kill Jack because he is dangerous.

>It is just like in how in the trailer Bob is criticizing the new system of education with the new way of doing math.
This is a thing common among young people and their parents while doing math homework together. It's just a quirky slice of life reference to the real world. My mum was the exact same with me when I was doing those equations as a kid.
>The people making these movies are secretly using it to criticize current trends in early education
And what specific trend are they criticizing? You're grasping at straws here.

its bait for the third one
it's gonna be the same as the first one, with bob and helen changing places

And now she has to continue to do that, dipshit

Don't talk like this to your elders, you little shit. Show some fucking respect.

a genetic dead end
OR
scum of the earth

Calm down Agnes, you know what the doctor said about your blood pressure.

>I want the benefits of being a house-wife but none of the responsibility or child rearing

It's not your wanting to be a househusband that is shameful. It is your wanting to be a househusband so as not to participate in the furthering of society that is shameful.

We want the Boss Baby audience

...

But is she even gonna get any significant air time? It seems like she'll do her schtick for 5 mins and the next 30 minutes will be mr incredible cooking some shit for dinner.

As long as they stay away from my boards

>NERF THIS
>BWWWWWAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Of course the guy is struggling with kids as though it is the hardest thing ever possible, God, what literal fucking trash this movie is going to be.

>I am a 65 year old guy. I started here about a year ago and lurk on both 4 and 8 chan. I told my 32 yo son about the chans. His comment was holy fuck dad that's the darkest place on the internet. Told him to grow the fuck up. He changed the subject lol

Well, everywhere else is stifling in regards to what you say, less restrictions the better I say

top kek
if you act like a child she not only won't respect you but will also look for a father
so most likely she would have divorced you years ago and look for someone else if not for the fact that her colleague Chad likes to fuck married women

What a time to be alive!
