Kevin Foster
Never gonna not post her when I catch these.
David Jenkins
I guess I'll repost. A couple orders coming soon and I'm getting another shelf since this one's just about full, so it'll be nice to see a before and after.
Cooper Thompson
I hate these because they only show book places.
No Big Bad Toys, no statueforum.com or even the Sideshow Forum, not even fucking amazon.
Whoever made this copypasta thinks he's sooooo smart but left out so much. It's a whole lot of shelf, but not a lot of buyfag.
I bet his ego won't let himself change his autistic, perfect pasta too, either.

He found something else to sperg about, don't worry.

I mean... he's not wrong, but these threads have always leaned more towards trades than floppies. Just the way it is.
Lucas Price
If hardback floppies (I know it's practically an oximoron) became a normal thing, would you switch to it over trades and regular floppies? Cause I think I would as long as the price wasn't $2+ more than paperback floppies.
Jackson Jenkins
oh wow, starting a couple deep dives! Good luck, Cerebus will take a while, and it's something I want to start too.

Does the Seven Soldiers put the issues in the order they were released (like the rec reading order is) or does it put them in different order than that.
Also whats that fatass MONSTERS book about? I need more monster comics in my life.
Anthony Murphy
Most of these posts are about comics and book trades. There are some about toys or statues or figurines but they're few and far between. If ya REALLY cared about it, why not post the links or places you use so others can see it. If it gets enough feedback and shows up frequently enough then the OP copypasta will likely add it.
Jason Collins
>hardcover floppies they cost a lot more to produce so you'd have to charge at least twice as much. And it makes no sense for a 26 page book, they will just take up so much space. I think some people in this thread are silly for buying hardcovers for 50 page books. But I think 50 pages is the minimum for a hardcover. I may be wrong but I think I heard there is a minimum page count for hardcovers for the binding to work properly
Christopher Walker
Animal Man IS an older character, was created in 1960, Morrison was 6 years old then.

I thought he was an older character before I read that misleading wikipedia page, I mean.

Just filter me, idiot.
I actually used to do that when I ran out of box space. Some of the issues got kinda warped, so I wouldn't recommend.
Colton Hall
is there any website to search diamond code stuff? i found preview world but they seem to be showing only current month stuff in the search results and to go back in time i have to view each month one by one
Kevin Lee
I'm already a few issues in. It's addicting and surprisingly a light/easy read for its reputation. I don't know why the fuck I didn't start it earlier
The SS hardcovers are in release order. I don't know about the trades but supposedly they're the same material just in 2 trades and not hardcovers.
My Favorite Thing is Monsters is a huge indie critical darling. It's about a young girl solving a murder mystery in 1960s chicago and she's obsessed with monsters and draws them all over her diary. It's supposed to be amazing (haven't read it yet) but if you wanted something for actual monsters I'd recommend Manifest Destiny and Kaijumax
Nolan Campbell
Oh well I guess I should upload them on my pc and then post in this thread, or I could just post them from my phone anyways and you can shut your queer mouth, lel
John Brown
>I'm already a few issues in. It's addicting and surprisingly a light/easy read for its reputation. Are you still at the beginning? TVTropes calls it Cerebus Syndrome for a reason.
Ian Cooper
I knew about kaijumax but keep forgetting about manifest destiny. Should look into it.
Good luck with that fatass "should be". Pretty bold to buy something that big ya never read before.
Dominic Hughes
I like my floppies to be out in the open where I can regularly grab stuff to read, not stuffed in boxes and shoved into some corner somewhere
Cameron Flores
Yeah i'm still early on but I look forward to the journey. Already thinking about buying more
Eh it's good to take a chance now and then. Plus it's been praised by some critics I really like/respect so it'll be interesting whether I love it or not
Eli Barnes

It's Winsday. All these survives today comic-wise are storytimes cause everyone is busy in those (and winothread).
But hopefully it'll mean if we last till this evening we get new release posts from anons.
Connor Torres
yeah I forgot the story time threads
Cameron Martin
The Jack Kirby specials are all stand alone stuff, right?
Angel Richardson
all I got this week
>Godzilla: Rage Across Time >Alien: Covenant >Digimon Adventure Tri part 2 >Cybord Rebirth vol 2 >Justice League of America rebirth vol 1 >Tokyo Ghoul vol 14
Jason Peterson
Yes. And most of them have one-off backup stories as well.
Jeremiah Thomas
Sweet then I can just grab them with no worry.
Parker Wilson
Covenant the movie? Or was there a comic of Alien called Covenant back in the day that you bought a trade of?
Blake Ortiz
>Digimon Adventure Tri part 2 is that current stuff or old?
Eli Gutierrez
This is part new purchase, part crafts I guess. A while back I realized that I need a new separate box just for my Lady Death singles, so I figured I might as well decorate the box a bit for one of my favourite characters ever.
I scanned in one of the covers, isolated the logo, rearranged it a bit, printed it out, cut out the stencil, traced it on the lid lightly in pencil. I just added the marker today and I'm debating whether or not to fill in the lettering with black or not. What do you think?
Logan Scott
Go for it, man. YOLO
Camden Martin
Forgot pic, duh
Brandon Mitchell
looks all right as it is
Ayden Lee
I'm just starting to collect trades.
Kevin Mitchell
nah, the movie.
James Baker
What's everyone reading now?
Working through my backlog currently. Just finished the first Lackadaisy book, and now I can't decide what print to buy when I get the second book. I like the notes in the back even if most of them were a little obvious and unneeded if you're even the slightest bit familiar with history. I'm also trying very hard to control my autism here, but I'm a bit triggered that there was no mention that the weaver stance that Freckle used was actually invented in the '50s when she did mention the duesenberg
Oliver Butler
you're starting out well
Nathan Taylor
>What's everyone reading now? finishing up WE WUZ KANGZ omni
Aaron Russell
Peter Milligan's Animal Man run, the bagged trade in last month's Judge Dredd Megazine, Starman Vol 2. and bunch of other things in various stages of completion.
Ethan Scott
current stuff about the old stuff
Kayden Williams
Also, got Tomboy vol 4 in the mail
Anthony King
I forgot this was out. How is it?
I got the first one expecting a big hit of nostalgia and instead absolutely nothing happened for 90 minutes.
Jaxson Jenkins
Still cool. I personally really liked it. I mean when ya think about it Covenant is the 6th/8th entry to a major horror movie franchise. It's a miracle it's watchable (unlike Freddy's Dead or Curse of Micheal Myers etc.)
Benjamin Morgan
Subscription copy arrived today. Heavy Metal musicians in Heavy Metal Magazine, aww yeeah. \m/
Christopher James
It's still not good. Vol. 3 gets better, but then it goes back to shit in Vol. 4.
Angel Taylor
Solid so far. Keep it up. DON'T GET THE NEW SHADOW. I mean, unless ya enjoy it, I guess.
Josiah Martinez
Isn't it Simon Spurrier and Moritat or am I thinking of something else?
Joshua Brooks
Procrastinating on my book club comics. Which one I REALLY need to read since the makers of it will be in town for a signing this weekend at LCS. I should find out if I like it before I miss my window to kissass them.
Matthew Roberts
Amethyst, Princess Of Gemworld. Once I finish that, I'll move on to the DC One Million omnibus.
Luke Smith

Morrison DP.

I was thinking of getting my cousin "My favorite thing is monsters" for her birthday, I remember reading a part of it in that fantagraphics FCBD and its rated highly on amazon. Anyone here read it or recommend it?
Carson Allen
forgot the picture

I'm trying to get through '90s JLA but it's a mix of good stories and absolutely boring arcs I can't get through so it's taking a lot of time

There is a middle ground you know... I've got my floppies in boxes, because organization is good, but they're accessible to flip through to find what you need.
I never fill them all the way up you need room to flip through and browse. Also on deep shelving they're easy to just slide in on the bottom shelf all tucked in.
Zachary Perez
That's a hot cover
Sebastian Howard
It looks great as is, but if you're going to do anything, don't fill it in, just embolden the lines on the inside by however many degrees you think is best
Looks great though, I look forward to doing more crafty shit with my comics, opportunity doesn't present itself that often though.
Austin Robinson
oh, I need to grab that!
Finally finished Understanding Comics so back onto my computer reading of War of Kings Books of Magic V2
Wyatt Reed
Ive got various mental health issues and for some reason I've just not felt like reading much in the last couple months, yet my pull list is still accumulating, so I've got a ton of floppies to read at some point.
My Pulls:
Batman Superman Supersons All-Star Batman Mr.Miracle Kamandi Challenge Doom Patrol Hellboy and the BPRD Ragnarok The Fix Black Science Kill or be Killed (I just stopped trying to read this one month to month cuz i kept forgetting shit so I'll be reading it in large chunks)
Wyatt Butler
Did you learn anything new you didn't already know from Understanding Comics? It sounds like such a poitless endeavour. Started reading it in my library once but there was nothing I didn't know already in it.
Hudson Evans
I learned a couple things but the main advantage I found was it formulated my thoughts on the medium better. It's well worth the read and a fairly short read anyway.
Joseph Morgan
Or I could...I dunno...arrange my comics on the shelf where I like them to be because they look great there and I can easily access them?
Luke Johnson
finally seeing Alphamon and Omegamon clash was great.
Carson Stewart

Something about amecomi designs J simply hate. They just feel like mindless slutty designs like some bad blend of Grimm Fairy Tales comic covers and some cardgame anime character.
Blake Collins
Yeah I was thinking about doing that, it might cover up my small mistakes a bit. Thanks dude.
Gabriel Parker
Well I never thought I would say this but I actually dig that Amecomi Cassie
Jayden Harris

Ian Green
good stuff Loeb/Sale is the best creative team in comics
Carson Gutierrez
I assume ya already got Long Halloween to go with that Catwoman.
Hunter Roberts
yeah they haven't let me down yet you already know
