I know it's impossible to say this shit and not sound like a pretentious faggot, but the show is legitimately deep. I mean that before faggots on the internet ruined the meaning of the word. Deep as in more than half the dialogue is a double entendre, or is subtly foreshadowing something in the episode/series, or both.

This show really lost its charm after Season 1, Episode 1.

Xavier isn’t fucking deep. I think the writers always had at least a cursory understanding of what they were sending up but it’s a comedy show above all else. The big difference is that Xavier never tells you what it thinks is correct, only that Xavier’s approach corrupts all. R&M gets so fucking preachy and self righteous sometimes it makes my peepee shrink

This show definitely benefits from having such short episodes and rapid pacing. It's not like the jokes themselves are all that clever, it's just how many of them they fit in, how dense they get using every part of the presentation to contain a joke or gag.
