It's a case where someone has managed to convince people that their brand has more cachet with a demographic than it really does, so they constantly get shilled out in the hopes of drawing in that demographic. The target demo happens to be watching those shows anyway, so her brand continues to get credit it doesn't deserve and her fame and influence increase further. A feedback loop that sustains itself because the money men lack either the interest or the ability to gauge what effect she's actually having on viewership and ratings.

Same with Alice, now that they've toned her down some she's good.
