Im really fond of the Carnival of Souls one
I dont know its got this something

I know what you mean, it does have an intangible quality that makes it really enjoyable, despite being an older movie. The acting is great as well.

They Look Like People (2015)
They Live (1988)
The Return of the Living Dead (1985)
Evil Dead II (1987)
Stigmata (1999)
Mute Witness (1995)
The Clonus Horror (1979)

posting my top 10, r8 h8 etc. these aren't necessarily scariest just my favourites

1. The Exorcist (1973)
2. The Thing (1982)
3. Jacob's Ladder (1990)
4. Blair Witch Project (1999)
5. Psycho (1960)
6. The Witch (2015)
7. Frankenstein (1931)
8. An American Werewolf in London (1981)
9. The Phantom of the Opera (1925)
10. In the Mouth of Madness (1994)

*doesn't name the movie like a grade-a cunt*

should I watch vampyr or the tenant tonight?

Vampyr for most comfy

oh really? I thought the tenant looked max comfy but if vampyr is comfy I'm all in

It's not that comfy just pretentious, don't be misled user, watch tenant

There's a colorized version and also a remake. Don't watch them.
CoS is great. The score is a big part of the appeal. That organ music is so eerie.

tfw the tenant's tagline was
"Noone does it to you like Roman Polanski"
It was a different time

th-third opinion when

Deep Sea?
That's specific as fuck. I'm guessing you've seen Deepp Star Six, The Abyss (not really horror, but beggars can't be choosers), the Call of Cthulhu silent black and white "fan film" (not deep sea, but close to it), Leviathan and Deep Rising?
There's a lot of older horror movies (mostly foreign) about creatures from the deep coming back up and fucking shit up. but not many about actual deep sea.

haven't seen it but looks like a snoozefest

was pretty good up until the end
I like movies to have satisfying endings

it also is a bit too stylized

The Taking of Deborah Logan was a great recent horror film
has Sup Forums seen it?

>The Taking of Deborah Logan
Old people are creepy

I've actually seen none of those besides the abyss, thanks user

I enjoyed it

kairo/pulse, my current fave

I know Sup Forums memes on this but its one of the saddest and unsettling films I've seen

probably helps I'm an ausfag too

Are you going to ask, or what?

A24 continuing to bring out horrorkino. Get hype.

wtf? I hated it. Why do people love that movie so much?

In the Mouth of Madness, its alright.

Dunno how many of you have seen it, but this is a famous movie in Australia. It was the breakthrough movie for Peter Weir, who did Master and Commander and The Truman Show

To me it's a masterpiece. There's a depressing dread that hanga over the entire movie, that slowly grows and intensifies as it progreases. Kurosawa sets this among soke beautiful shots that both illustrate and magnigy the protagonists' growing isolation. The film stays with you ling after watching it, too. It weighs on you. I've always likened it to Gloomy Sunday.

>In the Mouth of Madness

Apparently the Innkeepers is nice?

Very good. Well worth a watch, and I'm not even fond to Ty West.

>Directed by Ti West
nah fuck that douchebag

That's not what that is.

Possession. Its overrated garbagio.

>possession
>overrated
Where do you even live? Noone has seen it here, let alone overrated it

Overrated by Sup Forums

Not a really big horror fan but, this is the best horror film.

Just watched it. Not a lot happens, but I like how they handled a lot of tropes and the main girl screaming was genuinely fun to watch.

She was prime waifu material too.

great movie
not horror and you know it

Martyrs (2008). Don't read anything about it or watch a trailer, just download and watch it. I found it hard to watch; it's very disconcerting. Make sure it's 2008, not the 2016 remake.

Call me crazy, but I prefer Occult to Noroi.

my new horrorfu

Give me more like this masterpiece

More as in how? Religious undertones, witchcraft, innawoods, ayylmaofu? Be more specific and we can help you.

The Ritual
they even ripped off the soundtrack

A Dark Song if you want something that's faithful to its source material.

not that user but gimmie innawoods, seen bwp, ritual, evil deads

the Village

Already seen them both.
Suspenseful horror without cheap jump scares. Preferably with supernatural or occult elements.

The Village was shit
Try Antichrist, its not exactly what you're looking for but its neat

shamalamadoo? seen it but didnt come to mind since it fucking sucks so much

lol garbage fucking taste

Yellow Brick Road
Ravenous
The Last Broadcast
Evil Dead 1 & 2 & remake
Eden Lake
The Hallow

shut up

See I'd also recommend Kiyoshi Kirosawa. Kairo was already mentioned, but I'd also recommend Cure, Seance, Retribution, Creepy. He has a new movie out, too. Before We Vanish.

not bad

skip evil dead 1 and 2 and just watch the remake
ravenous is shit

Pontypool
Martin (1977)
The Autopsy of Jane Doe
Creep (2014)
The Void (2016)
Prince of Darkness
Monkey Shines

Stigmata fucking sucks. Terrible soundtrack and the plot makes no sense.

Creep is cabin innawoods

Is there anyplace this is availavle yet? Can't find it anywhere in America, whether it be legally, torrent, or stream.

>Martin (1977)
gay

>The Autopsy of Jane Doe

>The Void (2016)

here's mine

>garbage taste in film and women
pottery

The Entity was fucking terrifying once

both are pretty good actressines though

Check out seething of a ghost and devik fetus 1 and 2 if you like cheesy aisan gore

Anyone see Victor Crowley yet? I feel like all the three previous Hatchet films had going for them was the great practical effects, but this one didn't have them. It felt like a cheap Troma movie at times (although that's not always a bad thing), yet it managed to still feel intense at times despite the mostly dumb kills.

The Babadook. Probably the best I have seen, to be honest. It left me questioning my sanity. Was also a little bit emotionally touching, if you can relate to the characters. Not so much 'horror' as genuinely, deeply frightening drama

>muh slashers
lol fuck off back to Sup Forums

>inb4 the faggot It Follow's fans say The Babadook is shit
horror threads on this board are always shit

it follows fans and babadook fans are the same clique - nu-horror, everything is a metaphor or an allegory.

I actually thought it follows was utter shit. And ive watched a lot of movies that are supposed to be utter shit, and werent. It follows was a critical success, but I hated it. Babadook is a masterpiece

Truly great horror IS metaphor or allegory, the horror doesn't end when the film stops, as it alludes to something within human nature.

naah, I just want to watch a bunch of horny teen getting killed by a maniac or a group of cannibals

obviously not, you retarded faggot.

it follows was absolute trash like said

Haven't seen yellow Brick road or hallow thanks

I hope you die

so do i

bonehead.

never saw it

We all die one day, you idiot. How did you not know that?

yeah, but you'll die in the first act

I'm already in the third act, bozo.

Is there blumhousekino?

nu-Shamalan is pretty kino

it's a biopic of your life.
