Were you satisfied with the Red John reveal?

Were you satisfied with the Red John reveal?

not really, it should have been bertram, laroche or jane, what we got was pretty anticlimactic (aside from jane strangling him)

but that's not surprising considering the show got a bit worse after season 3

season 1 early days was kino

is this show any good? thinking about starting it

no

Why would someone paint Strong Sad in blood?

it's a solid procedural

never cared for Red John, and always thought he was a poorly written villain. Non-Red John episodes were much more fun.

hehe thats what i saw too

Should have been Malcolm McDowell, desu.

As far as crime procedurals go, this is one of the best i've watched, give it a go

and lisbon is a qt

Kek, time for a nice glass of sudzu

should have been Partridge, and if it wasn't going to be the Blake references are retarded

its pretty good, the overarching plot is meh after the 1st season

cool characters though

It was shit. I have the feel that it was rushed out and not thought throughout the series. We see that guy too little, he comes and goes, he's caught in an anticlimatic way. Should have been LaRoche or similar. The climax was at the end of season * or a bit later, when the list of the seven names comes out and we find that RJ knows or has predicted the list

I was actually glad they didn't pussy out and had Jane just take him in peacefully or some bullshit like that. It was actually refreshing to see a character in one of these types of shows actually murder the fucker that killed their family.

this

hell no it was pathetic

It's solid, for a crime procedural. It's a good mix between comfy&gritty that also manages to avoid stereotypes about crime shows. Solid cast and characters, most episodes are fun enough. It has an overarching plot which is amazing in season 1 but a bit meh after that.

First 3 seasons are god-tier but it kind of mellows out later on imo

the female co-star is a cute

Should I watch entire last season to learn about ending?

>a good story, nice characters and good actors
>they have to drag it for 7 seasons
fuck these people

not really, if you want the best of the show, watch first three seasons, they're kino

if you want the full red john story, watch up to season 6 episode 8. it kind of drags on.

rest of the show is just tying up loose ends, so watch it if you care about that

i remember in like 2010-11, this show was so good and it looked like it would end up being the best procedural ever but somehow it just slipped into mediocrity along the way, it makes me sad

Sincerely, it felt rushed.

>Should have been Malcolm McDowell, desu.
This would have been nice

the critters admitted they didn't had anyone to be John until like season 4 or 5

Season 1-3 was my Mentalist.

>everyone throughout the whole series do their best to convince jane to let go, let the police arrest red john, live his life the best he can
>he refuses to listen, runs red john down and kills him with his bare hands
kino

the show was fun, good characters, good cast, but some of the writing decisions became shit around late season 4 or season 5, all that lorelei/suspect list bullshit was unnecessary

the power struggle between jane and the fbi in s6 was great, shame they threw it away and went for a fucking love triangle

Holy heck a mentalist thread

i think the show isn't memeable enough to give a lot of thread content aside from actual discussion

that being said, i loved it when it aired, this thread is motivating me for a rewatch

It should have been Jane, but he slowly came to realise he was Red John, all the internal stuff trying to sabotage him was his henchmen trying to prevent him from finding out and killing him wasn't a choice in case it reminded him.

go for it, it's bretty good, but like user says, if you dont like the first 3 seasons, you definitely wont like the rest of it

Red John should have been Jane or Bradley Whitfords character. That being said it was alright. This show is super fuckin comfy though.

i'm watching s01e06 right now and seeing this thread was pretty spooky since Sup Forums rarely ever talks about it

a mentalist thread?

it somehow manages to be comfy as fuck but also avoid stereotypes that come in these shows

go for it

This

My parents loved this show I only started to look it when they were in the 4th season
The dude has charm and lisbon is top qt, shame that they make so many unnecesary seasons
Same thing is Castle

Cause it made money. Women loved Simon Baker and there was a lot of shipping. So they dragged it out. I assume they tried to end it with Red John being killed then got offered so much money they did two 12 episode seasons (instead of 24 or w/e).

Really wanted it to be Van Pelt

yes, go for it, what says

castle was just a bit too light-hearted imo, this show does it better

lisbon is more qt too desu senpai

Cho is the best boy

Or rigsby

The showrunner admitted that they didn't have any kind of plan for red john going in

the resolve was a disgrace, i remember this was the first show where i went to see other people opinions about a show, i was mad
