What did you think?

So far the best in the planet of the apes universe.

It's an entirely mediocre MCU flick and does nothing special, but does nothing specifically wrong besides the atrocious CGI

Just got back from seeing it.
And it was a decent movie. Solid 7/10.
Music was good.
The Africa tribe shit was kinda cool.
Good villain.
Some of the sets were amazing.

Not as good as the Rotten tomatoes score, but still good.

Music was cliche Lion King score and bad rap music

The Africa tribes are as racial stereotypes as a council of chinamen in conical hats and kimonos

lets be real here. The villain's motivations were fucking stupid.

>Lets arm all the niggers in the world with super technology

I'm not talking black people here. Niggers. The kind that Killmonger is. He's a street nigger with military training.

>Thinks street niggers without higher motivations have any bigger picture besides city turf wars, looting and stealing

doesn't give useful technology to people who matter like say... africans. All those third world countries that need it

>Durr hurr so relatable. That Killmonger is the best MCU Villain ever.

CGI was PS2 cutscene quality.

I just came from the kinema. It was a good movie. I like Thor and Spiderman more but it's still good. The best part of the movie is the fact that, unlike in most other Marvel movies, the action in this one is very well shot - nice fluid one takes where you actually see what happens (unlike Captain America infamous webms). That bald general lady - Okia - had one of the best scenes at the casino, where they fight. It's a good movie despite all the shit i see about it online. And i should mention, i am a guy from eastern EU so i am pretty objective. The weirdest parts for me was that guy with a giant ass disk in his lip, and the weird contradiction between highly advanced tech and the fact that you can't see that happen in Africa, which is poor as hell. But hey - fiction. Also - Lupita is so damn cute, as always, and i am not even into black chicks.

>street nigger with military training

He's got MIT degree and few other universities. It shows you paid no attention to anything during movie and try to make argument.

I agree user.

It was okay, 8/10
It was like a weird photo-negative of most Marvel flicks: good villain, supporting cast and plot and writing, but a weak hero and fight scenes.

Also, disappointing compared to how great Creed was.

Are you kidding me? I liked the movie but most of action scenes were trash.

Ironically, the better action scenes are the ones where there's no Black Panther suit on set

Why is that ? I liked them, minus the Rhinos at the end. But the fights between people were nice imo. And that car chase was sweet as well. I never saw any meme cuts like in Captain America desu.

>this reddit spacing
poor pajeet

Will I like it if I liked Ant-Man, the first Guardians of the Galaxy, but disliked Thor and Avengers ?

The car chase with Black Panther doesn't have a lot of weight given that any gunfire at TChalla has no tension. The back and forth isn't particularly interesting until Okoye uses her spear. Watch the Nick Fury car chase in Winter Soldier for comparison, it's dynamic and there's tension and a more interesting pace.

The last fight between Killmonger and Tchalla lacks weight because they're both in invulnerability suits. Even when they're getting turned off because of the train, the fight never goes back to a point where it feels like any of the hits have weight, like the first fight between them where Tchalla is defending his throne from Killmonger.

That's kind of the big issue in all these fights: Tchalla is never at a disadvantage or even in any real danger when he's in the suit. And they never set up proper stakes to work around the suit's invincibility.

It doesn't help that the CGI itself feels floaty

Boring and ugly, mediocre movie all around

I was speaking purely from a camera work perspective desu. To me it was obvious that black panther was immune to most shit, i didn't even mind it, he is overpowered as fuck that's known. And it was obvious that the first time his power was taken with that drink was a set up for a next similar situation where he would lose. So the only moments he was vulnerable was during the ceremonies. But again, i was appreciating the fluid camera shots with almost no cuts sometimes during action scenes.
