Never in the history of human events has a man done so little to deserve so much internet hate. Spoony has only produced a few videos in the last 3 years, yet he has spawned an entire cottage industry of Anit-Spoony content in a bizarre feedback loop.

The volume of anit-Spoony content is astonishing. There are several parody twitter accounts endlessly mocking him. There is at least one full time anti-spoony blog. One dedicated bulletin board that shit posts about him 24/7. That one's hilarious because the founder admitted to paying for the cost of hosting this forum because this group had been kicked off a free service. He's literally paying out of pocket so he and his friends can bash Spoony to their heart's content.

And the posts on that forum are like reading the bathroom stalls of the internet. This one dedicated individual wrote an transcript of Spoony's Persona 5 streams. Who has the time for such nonsense? Must be a teenager, because this poster didn't know the difference between a finished and unfinished basement.

There’s such an innocence to these old con pics. It was before the marketing took off. Everyone there was there just because they liked what it was about. It was before “professional cosplayers” and celeb shit took over. That time period of adult swim anime and everything about the internet being new.

Then there's all the anti-Spoony youtube videos. Some of them have much higher production values than the 2007-2009 era video game rants that made Spoony popular back in the day. Better audio. Better editing. It's sad to see people squander their talents, time, and effort on endlessly beating a dead horse.

There is only one explanation: Spoony (prior to his twitter account being banned) used to frequently tweet about Donald Trump. I stumbled upon a video by Alt-Right trolls Matt Forney and Davis Aurini where they were hoping Spoony commits suicide. Something clicked. This isn't about Spoony's productivity or Patreon account, but his politics. He's the target of Alt-Right trolls.

The thing with Spoony is that he has been ripping off gullible fans for years on the promise that it will help him continue making content and become more professional like JonTron did. But every month he would take the money and not say a peep over the next video, a token thank you to the fans, or even so much as interact with his fans in streams beyond snarling fits and blocking you. His anti social and self destructive behavior is what made him a big target from the lovable guy who was the face of Ultima fans.
