Could this thread be about VHS commercials instead?

I think about this ad a lot but I dont even remember what VHS I watched it on

youtube.com/watch?v=iSEJ2Pfuyqk

zoo books, order now and get the FREE ELEPHANT BOOK

>yfw you never got the tiger poster

LIONEL TOY BANK LIONEL TOY BANK LIONEL TOY BANK

Not really a commercial but:
youtube.com/watch?v=HRR4OiLxDIg

Everytime I would start up A Goofy Movie. There was a point where our VCR started to break down and fast-forwarding or rewinding had a chance of destroying the tape. Had to manually rewind videos by hand with a coin or pencil.

I fucking watched A Goofy Movie on VHS so many times as a kid

Don't make me sad you faggot

'NOTHER SCORTCHER

CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER DONE PLAYING GAMES

I know I'm basically dwelling into "My childhood was better!" territory, but I feel bad that stuff like this has since for kids has been replaced with things like Minecraft LPs and unboxing videos.

At least they get to trade Pokemon via wireless connection which I would have killed for as a kid.

not posting superior BUZZ CUTZ

youtube.com/watch?v=qfuW0n7UmhQ

>starts with Creed and Simple Plan

Yeah nothing's more 2003 than this.never thought I'd actually miss when I liked those shitty bands

nevermind, found a better one
this collection hits me too damn hard

youtube.com/watch?v=MAina4g3xkU

Zoo books were so based. I had like 30.

Where does the time go?

Music was in a difficult place in that part of the 90s right before grunge hit
500 Miles is still one of the most annoying songs of all time

*blocks your path*

This still fucking plays

youtube.com/watch?v=mD9i39GENWU

>Creed

CAN YOU TAKE ME HIGHER

yeah, but its probably the most nostalgic for me
i miss that weird period of just bad top 10 hits on the radio

>Christmas time comes around
>Are you sure Santa will like these red and green M&Ms?

I'll call now
youtube.com/watch?v=4rqZZgVxnCk

youtube.com/watch?v=O6rHeD5x2tI

>All of this
Stop, please stop! Holy shit, I should not be feeling old at 22.

>NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC, VOLUME 5

I still listen to some of the bands I liked from the late 90s and 00s like Slipknot, and Disturbed grantid, those bands didn't exactly "peek" during that time and have become bigger than they were back then

Also, it's insane to me how Linkin Park never went away, when you watch their old videos it's some of the most cliched stuff of that time but they managed to just become bigger and bigger regardless of that by becoming even more homogenized

How should I know, I've never met the guy.

Those youtube videos they like to watch wouldn't be so bad if they didn't like to watch them over other things. I had young relatives around for summer and I thought to myself hey I can bring up literally any cartoon/anime/movie to watch on demand. I bring up Big Hero 6 and they rather watch shitty lets plays of crappy alpha build jump scare games.

>Ooooh oooh oooh here it comes here it comes
>(jumpscare)
>Yaaaaaaay
>Oh here comes another one
>Boo!
>Yaaaaaay

It kills me inside. I hope Sup Forums is around in 15 years to see the posts of nostalgic young adults wondering how they hell they watched any of that crap

WUH HA
HE DOES EXIST

True, it does take me back to good times for sure. This was when I was at the peak of my "wrong generation" phase but I still have good memories associated with that music.

They DO exist

Uh... Santa?

Time moves faster exponentially the older you get. By the time you hit 25 you have mentally lived out half your life. One week to someone 70 years old is the same amount of time as 1 hour to a 3 year old.

By the time people realize they its too late and they have a midlife crisis trying their best to enjoy life only to realize even if they could stay awake for 5 days without feeling tired they will never relive the feeling of a great birthday or holiday of their childhood. Its become fundamentally impossible to enjoy yourself as much as you did as a child.

Always saw the Laputa: Castle in the Sky trailer in my Treasure Planet DVD, as well as the 2003 Ghibli Disney DVDs.
Already had many of the Ghibli DVDs imported from Japan back when I was a teen, though. But I bought the US Disney editions because I was interested to hear how the English dubs sounded.

Was laughing on how cheesy this trailer was when I first saw this trailer on the DVD of Treasure Planet when I was 14 since I already saw Laputa in Japanese.

My first girlfriend (she is still my current girlfriend since we reunited just two years ago) would often come by my place to watch Treasure Planet on DVD in a widescreen TV with component video and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound (yes, she can understand all of this technobabble) since she didn't have a DVD player back then, her TV was pretty meh and she only had a 4.0 surround setup.

She already had it on VHS but she wanted to watch the DVD, especially since it was our first movie date when we watched it in IMAX just a few months prior and we loved revisiting our beautiful memories together.
I did buy her an extra copy of the DVD but she couldn't watch it until years later.
Treasure Planet is also one of our favorite Disney animated films.

She was introduced to Studio Ghibli after she saw the Laputa trailer in my Treasure Planet DVD and she was really interested on checking out Laputa, especially since I told her that the movie is much better than the trailer makes you expect.
She became a Studio Ghibli fan after watching it and Laputa: Castle in the Sky is one of her favorites in the Studio Ghibli Collection.

This is true, I'm 27 and I spent the last...I don't know, three days basically making a decision on answering some personal messages or not, finally made a choice not to and watch one 22 minute cartoon episode instead, and now yet another day has passed and it feels like it's been like an hours worth of contemplation

youtube.com/watch?v=WdcLyYrrMcc

I hated this commercial

I wonder if they made money off of it or did they spend too much on advertising.

Hey Sup Forums!
FREE TIGER POSTER

The sun used to make our outdoor deck and patio space so hot and uncomfortable we couldn't use it. But then, we discovered the Sunsetter Retractable Awning. Our Sunsetter Retractable Awning opens and closes in just 60 seconds. It keeps our patio up to 20 degress cooler. It provides instant shade, and it's good protection from the sun's harmful rays. And our Sunsetter Awning costs under 700 dollars, but now you can get your Sunsetter for as little as 499 dollars.

yeah, but with their fucking lead singer dead, they lose their fucking voice. same with Queen, Mercury had such a unique way of singing that you didn't hear anywhere else

And I swear!

You guys know that shit like Nicktoons has all these off-brand ads that are like the ones we remembered, but all terrible?

>22

you are like little baby.

>VHS commercials

i had the VHS of The Pagemaster, and it had an extended trailer and sneak peak for the Power Rangers movie with Ivan Ooze. made that shit look intense as a motherfucker.

not as intense and Mr Spock as Mr Hyde, though.

fond memories

REMEMBER ME? I'M THE KID WHO HAD THE REPORT DUE ON SPACE.
youtube.com/watch?v=Hxwin9XFbnQ
Seriously what the fuck happened to that guy I must know

>not sure if everyone is emotionally stunted or if I was a particularly miserable child

Why would I pay 500$ for a tarp?

Awnings are pretty expensive, they need to be able to stand up to a lot of shitty weather and the sun wrecks things like you would not believe, paying extra for higher quality polymers, better fitment of mechanical parts and canvas is worth it to people looking for an awning.

>tfw I saw this everyday, and we never got an air conditioner for our hot ass home

When they showed the coin storage thing and started chanting "SAVE YOUR MONEY SAVE YOUR MONEY" I felt like they were trying to convince me not to buy it.

>never had air conditioning but my dad would pick up a big ass iceblock every two days during the summer
Looking back it was a shitty deal but it was pretty great as a kid

And can we talk about now on TV, that old wannabe Betty Crocker hag shilling her two separate cooking gizmos for literally every other commercial?

>CHEWY OUTSIDE AND GOOEY INSIDE

youtube.com/watch?v=7kMZ5kuF7Oo

Why haven't you fucks ordered the Shirley Temple DVD collection yet?!!!

>i miss that weird period of just bad top 10 hits on the radio

Have you listened to the shit they play these days?

What was that commercial they played that was like blue and about child healthcare/insurance? It played on Cartoon Network all the time.

Yes, that is French they speaking. But these children aren't French, they're American. And they've acquired their new language skills from Muzzy.

Now it's time for the Pizza Head Show.

I remember when it was a vhs collection

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
GET OUT OF MY HEAD

My dad just bought an ass load of fans instead of buying AC. In middle school I even started wearing jackets during the summer to acclimate myself to really hot days.

Gerber Baby Growup Plan.

I wonder if anyone actually got one of those and invested it to make bank.

DID YOU KNOW MAJOR SYSTEM BREAKDOWNS COST HOMEOWNERS AN AVERAGE OF $1700 A YEAR?

Fuck I had so many VHS tapes with all sorts of random cartoons. This one is a standout for me cuz it looked awesome to me as a kid.
