Dumbing of age

Tonight we see the beginning of a conversation that could last about two weeks I bet. It's kinda like watching something drift into a black hole.

Lack of emotional connection to this bore of a storyline notwithstanding, my emotional connection is further damaged when I remember that the root of it is an overweight tubby girl parkouring around the school whose only disguise is a domino mask that literally nobody can see past.

Judging by the preview panels, I would think that this will last one more week, after which we get the usual "everybody's going to bed now so that means it's the end of the day" strip, and then one or two more strips of Joyce waking up Sarah for the new day, after which we finally get Sarah and Billie meeting in the hallway as posted to the DOA Tumblr.

So, one week.

Not only that, but I believe some folk have accused Sal of being Amazi-Girl as well.

Holy crap. I can't believe we're finally addressing the millions of things we've been waiting to hear.

I wonder what happened to Amber's shirt. Is it just referring to the blood? Or did he damage the shirt without hurting her?

I've been following this comic for far too long and I don't remember Amber attacking her father. Am I forgetting something or was it a long time ago?

Also, based on the publicly posted buffer/queue date, this is Joyce circa November/December.

>He touched me.
>Amber, I--
>No, not like that. He went for the knife, but he grabbed my boobs instead. I kind of liked it, but it wasn't until the knife was stuck between two of ribs that I internally orgasmed. You know that chill you get down your spine when you cum? Imagine that, but with the taste of another person's blood on your lips.

Parent's Weekend or whatever. Amber's dad showed up for some reason (I didn't read the damn story), tried to beat her up, got beaten up himself, kidnapped Danny, and then got beaten up in a parking lot and left for dead while Walky and Dorothy fucked.

It happened in 2013.

This:
>Parent's Weekend or whatever. Amber's dad showed up for some reason (I didn't read the damn story), tried to beat her up, got beaten up himself, kidnapped Danny, and then got beaten up in a parking lot and left for dead while Walky and Dorothy fucked.

I think he wanted to yank her out of school or something equally ridiculous. Dina accidentally let him into the room, because she didn't know about Amber's relationship with him.

Amber eventually punched the crap out of him.

Having anyone's blood on your shirt would be traumatizing for anyone.

Anyway, draw-user from last night here. Got any requests?

This being an issue was really off my radar. I didn't forget, but I figured when the police completely failed to follow up that it wasn't going to come up again.

Dina knew but her parents insisted they let him in and she didn't assert herself.

>kidnapped Danny
Why though?
Even when Amber was getting plowed by Danny she still didn't care whether he lived or died.

Amber is delightful.

*shrug*

Joe in a nice suit and tie making Joyce flustered.

...

Mindy and Anna dating.

Oh, sorry, this is sketch exercise for me so lewds are gonna be the main thing. I'd also need ref pics of any characters/outfits cuz like fuck am I giving Willis hits looking for them.

...

>admitting you're a fatass
I don't think she came out on top with that one.

There's an user who requests Amber and Billie porn, not necessarily together. But why not deal with both at once? Whatever lewdness you can imagine would be fun.

So Amber's dad is basically just Amber but with a dick and the ability to stop stuffing his face?

...

is it just me or does the dad look way younger in these comic? if you take away the grey in his hair, he looks to be the same age as everyone else. maybe he could have some wrinkles or something else that implies age, or was that too hard to draw consistentlyWillis?

Weirdly enough I think the Ross storyline makes way more sense than the Blaine one.

>Religious dad kidnaps daughter to try and turn her straight
Straightforward

>Abusive estranged dad and divorced husband paying alimony/child support shows up to be a jerk and kidnaps his daughter's alter-ego's boyfriend to force her meet him. The idea being that once they meet...??? And then he tries to fight the "unrelated vigilante" who shows up rather than just give up the kid. Because??
His stated goal was seeing where his money went, but other than that I don't know what his plan even was supposed to be.

The execution on Ross' bit is probably worse than Blaine's but Ross' makes a lot more sense.

...

Is he supposed to look threatening? He looks like a fucking librarian

...

Eh, when I first started reading the comic I thought the characters were middle school age.

I guess? Maybe he was inspired by the man with the horn-rimmed glasses from the show "Heroes."

Pretty much.

He probably looks like the author's dad, let's be honest.

The big heads and immature attitudes make that a reasonable assumption.

The strip immediately following this one.

Note the strip title.

Truly the voice of a generation

Eyy, that sounds fun.

DOA characters are dumber than Marvel citizens, Jesus.

Yeah.

Didn't I tell you?

Amber and Danny have a dramatic moment involving her father receiving comeuppance for his abuse while at the same time creating a divide between what Amber feels is right and what she knows is right,
and it's interspersed with Dorothy and Walky having sex.

Because that's how 9 Chickweed Lane did it.

GirlAnon here with all of these strips from that storyline. Just feel a bit better seeing this one.

What level of complexity are you shooting for, user?

Depends on what I'm feeling like. I'm taking a figure drawing class so this is nice extra practice.

Soon after. Ruth isn't any different from Blaine, if we're being honest.

(I lied; 9 Chickweed Lane portrayed sex like this:)

The last panel looks like Ruth is making a racist joke at Billie.

Reminder that "weenus" is the actual word for the fleshy bit of skin on your elbow.

...

This one's a little funny.

I never realized how weird Walky's body looks in this strip. He's like a little worm man.

Relevant!

EUGH. Yes, he is. He doesn't have arms in three panels. Weird. Can't unsee.

Love how this only comes to fruition after three freakin' years.

...

Maybe that's what Willis did when he stopped repressing his urges.

There's also a strip where Sarah says you don't have to elaborate on Joyce's stuff, because you just have to say what it is for it to sound ridiculous. Sounds exactly how we feel about Willis.

...

Is this one of the newer characters Willis is intending to add? Character tag says her name is Rose.

Sal's eyes confirmed to be beetles.

...

Why in the world would you have someone's room number available to anyone who can find the directory (which is publicly available)???

Maybe that's why Joe's list was more of an issue.

Did Sal and Danny ever do their study session?

Forgot the file.

>August 18

>February 3

I cannot fathom the logic behind stretching a single thing out like this.

So funny thing, I actually forgot that Billie was the titty-asian, and mistook her for Dorothy. I will do a Billie, but I was stuck on trying to get Dorothy's bodytype right the way I imagine it.

Either way, here's an Amber.

It got deleted before I could add it to the smut file. Feel free to add any lewds to the stock by e-mailing me at [email protected].

I try to carefully catalog this stuff since it's so popular!

...

Blaine's entire everything only makes sense to me if I assume he's actually a costumed villain and that's where Amber learned this garbage and their erratic behavior has a past that Willis just can't allude to properly

Leather-jacket Sal doing the Golden Boy sexy-motorbike thing
youtube.com/watch?v=ph-dN9G-pMM

>drawing a vehicle
I love you guys, but I won't do that. I can barely grasp anatomy. I can draw a nice Sal for ya, just not like that.

That's fair, I can't draw vehicles for shit either; how about the jacket and undies look?

When have we ever seen Amber actually eating?

>Not only that, but I believe some folk have accused Sal of being Amazi-Girl as well.

That makes no sense. Even if people cant see past the mask, their builds, skin color and length of hair make it impossible to confuse the two of them. The fact that light travels to the eye makes that extremely obvious. You can't possibly NOT not see that.

More like,
>abusive father shows up to assert control over daughter, but cant do it in campus grounds. So step 1, is to remove her from campus grounds.

He didnt knew his girl was SO fucked up, she dresses up in yellow and beats people up.

I can't help but think, given past examples, that this is Willis raising a middle finger to some of his readers. If you don't know, back on Shortpacked, Willis decided to complain about Transformers fans who didn't like MLP ads in the comics. He somehow escalated this to the complainer hating everything girls liked, one of the cast saying girls can have penises, the complainer feeling in horror and the punchline being a newspaper headline "Dumbass cuts off own weenus."

Several readers expressed confusion as to why he was cutting off his elbow skin, a few others just said that weenus was a real word and it meant that. Willis reacted to this mild criticism about like you'd expect.

Someone isn't a Paranatural reader.

(I still love you Zack but please)

>GirlAnon here
What does that have to do with the discussion?

But from his perspective his daughter didn't beat him up. And anyone could've fucked him up. The police, Danny himself, a group of students who noticed Danny was in trouble.

And even if Amber did just show up, what guarantee was there that she would listen to him after he left. He can't keep Danny hostage and loom over her forever.

I guess saying stupid stuff online justifies having crimes committed against you.

Sounds good.

Because I occasionally talk about DID stuff when Willis fans act like Amber has it.

she's a namefag whose boyfriend actually has DID.

Don't bring up the namefield hate here, the trip users who frequent this general are generally pretty chill and active aside from theDewd

I just remembered that I have a document that I've used to keep together some of my comments about DID and actual research.

If anyone's interested:

It just occurred to me that the implication here is that Dorothy slept with Walky once -- Once! -- and she got a C on an exam, ruining her life forever (according to Willis).

Clearly, the message is to never have premarital sex with a person you never intend to marry in the first place, especially if they're a tan-skinned skinny-fat manchild who can't tie his shoes.

You know, one of the strips involves Walky implying the same thing.

I think the issue is that everyone in Shortpacked was a full-fledged adult, so Blaine seemed in par with them. He just didn't edit his appearance for the new setting, for some reason.
The reason is that Willis is lazy.
can i get more underwear pictures? i have a fetish

5 minutes in CSP.

>I wonder what happened to Amber's shirt.
in Ryan's attempt to defend himself he squeezed the nearest thing and milk soaked it beyond cleaning

Forget the slipshines. I need to see THAT.

Guess she should have stuck with Daniel

They've had sex more than once and the grades slipping have been revealed pretty recently.

I still don't get how one just does worse than they expect without knowing. I always had a pretty good idea of if I was gonna get a good grade on a thing before I submitted it. And I wasn't only in hard sciences, I did a lot of lit. essays as well.

Cute. Hmm, this (and the recent Overwatch short) makes me want to see Billie cosplaying as Mei.

I can even see that being a fun little story. Ruth gets way into Overwatch, Billie teases her incessantly. Ruth always picks Mei because she reminds her of Billie (insert joke here about her vicious tendencies barely hidden under a cute exterior). Billie finds a folder of Mei stuff, and then makes a little costume like her in the short to surprise Ruth with.

Then they bone down.

thanks mate

>They've had sex more than once and the grades slipping have been revealed pretty recently.
She's been hiding the fact that her grades are slipping. It could have started with that class she missed.

They're almost at the midway point of the semester. They should know whether they have a chance of passing or failing the whole shebang by this point.

We never see them doing homework. Maybe everyone's grades are crap.

Billie pinching her stomach paunch and realizing she needs to quit binge drinking

It wasn't that she was hiding it, she literally didn't know until she got the C. Then she checked in with all her profs and they all confirmed that her marks are slipping.

I forgot the image.

Also, for what it's worth I do think it's poorly conveyed. Like I said, I feel like people generally know if they're doing poorly before they do things, unless they're really out of their depth.

>Also, for what it's worth I do think it's poorly conveyed. Like I said, I feel like people generally know if they're doing poorly before they do things, unless they're really out of their depth.
I would constantly go into tests thinking I knew all the material and would get a B at worst, only for them to throw out questions on something I've never heard of before, or a math equation 3 times as hard as what I'd practiced, and end up with a D.

Well I was talking more for handed in assignments, but yeah I've had those cases too, where an in-class assessment is tougher than I expected, or I missed specific material that showed up. Even still, I would still know that I probably bombed that question before I got the grades back.

I can't imagine a professor waiting 7 weeks to return papers, so she should know how she was doing way before now.

Or to be more accurate, I would feel uncertain of my grade. Dorothy has apparently been doing more poorly across the board, but never really expressed.

And I really thought he was gonna go there with this set of strips. Dorothy was having a rough time relating to people and Roz was doing much better, despite all of Dorothy's efforts. And she gives this speech about not being as good as she thought she was.

And it was one of the few times I was hoping it would be a bait and switch (or really double entendre) of a sort. She's not down *just* because she's having a rough time connecting with people, but rather it's the combination of classwork being harder than she expected and also her outreach being ignored that was bothering her. It would give a little more connection to Walky in his failures in math, and maybe they could work together to help each other do better.

But instead he revealed later that she only realized her grades were a problem after getting the C. Thus making that little headcanon I had established invalid (even if she hadn't mentioned it at the time, it could've still been an undercurrent but basically eliminated that). And I continue to be disappointed in Dumbing of Age.

>that first strip
I forgot about how awful that one was.

more underwear, please? ;(
