Pumpkinhead
Nice pick. Need to rewatch this, I remember the creature effects being amazing
none because its a shit genre
great, thanks for contributing
Who are the bottom center and bottom right?
Bottom center is Cropsy from The Burning and Bottom right is Billy from Black Christmas
The Burning and Black Christmas (original version)
what's the top left one?
The Prowler
Huh, i saw both these movies last year and couldn't recognize them. Not as memorable as the Prowler or the my bloody valentine guy design-wise i guess
The Snow Phantom from Cold Prey 1-3.

sleepaway camp silent night deadly night are overrated
the pic of Billy in OP is the only time in the film that you actually get a glimpse at him so it makes sense that you didn't recognize him
...
Sleepaway camp is pretty comfy and Silent night is just alright imo. Black Christmas is easily my favorite though
pumpkinhead 2 is unjustly hated
Frank Zito
Love Maniac, such a great slasher flick
Ranking just the killers themselves and not the films they were apart of.
> Snow Phantom (cold prey)
> Ben Willis (i know what you did last summer)
> Candyman
> The Miner (my bloody valentine)
> The Prowler
> Chromeskull (laid to rest)
> Victor Crowely (hatchet)
> Big Ed (the mutilator)
> Baby masked guy from Dark Ride
> Skull guy from Midnight Movie
> The Twins (just before dawn)
> Madman Marz (madman)
> Cropsy (the burning)
> The Son (humongous)
the last horror film (1982) is pretty much maniac 2, It even has Joe Spinnel playing almost the same character
I need to re-watch it but of all the slashers out there I would say The Burning is the most overrated.
Raft Massacre is awesome but everything else about it is fairly lame.
Extremely unlikable lead & cast except the main female counselor.
Killer's make up isn't menacing.
Nudity & sex scenes are more uncomfortable then sexy.
Watched that last October. Comfy Halloween movie. Still holds up well.
>Raft Massacre is awesome but everything else about it is fairly lame.
a friend showed my the raft massacre scene and I loved it so I ran out to buy the movie and it sucked so I sold the blu-ray the next day
Candyman.
Surprised he isn't in Dead By Daylight.
I miss Stan so much.
The effects still look fantastic.
Those facial movements.

>> Big Ed (the mutilator)
This guy is interesting, he has no mask or outfit, he comes off as the slasher personification of the drunken asshole dad you try & avoid, he gets some solid badass moments. One when his son knocks him down with a pole hit to the head, he gets right back up and punches the fucking shit out of him into the wall.
His battle axe is a damn solid primary weapon.
They take his resilience to injury to preposterous but effectively disturbing extremes during the badass finale pic related.
those effects are wiiiiild
Jason
This guy from Charlie's Farm (2014) looks pretty menacing, need to see it.

scarecrows (1988) is a great movie with 4 underrated slashers in it.
Strongly seconding this.
Very moody surreal film, good haunting score. Good likable cast despite them almost all being criminals.
Pic related especially, he appears to be the brutal muscle of the group but getting a subtle but fascinating arc of genuinely sympathizing with his hostage.
The fact that I rarely see this movie discussed on this board is really sad, it is truly an underrated masterpiece of psychological horror.
Agreed Candyman is damn good & honestly the 2nd film is really underrated.
What slashers would you like to see get a sequel/reboot?
Hatchet just got it's 4th movie, Chromeskull's 3rd was suppose to start filming in December, haven't found confirmation if it did.
Holy shit Caroline Munroe’s in it too? Thanks user, this sounds great.
>> Chromeskull (laid to rest)
>Chromeskull's 3rd was suppose to start filming in December
People actually like this piece of shit? The first movie had amazing gore effects and literally nothing else.
First was meh, 2 was damn good IMO.
My Bloody Valentine was actually pretty fun, even though the 'monster' was actually just that schizophrenic guy
>Updated my journal
Pieces
Dr. Barry Nyle mofos, disturbing yet believable transformation, merciless slashing, great design.
This is a nice post
