Cast them

can i cast you into the void of oblivion instead
>Edward
2010 Chloe Moretz
>Alphonse
2017 Chloe Moretz
Looks like the nips already did
Tom Hardy and Tom Hardy.
Saw a quarter of it.
It was shit, and not just shit like black panther shit, it was literal dog shit.
Kek
this
it came out netflix yesterday
kino
Fuck me it was bad.
I watched it.
Well I'm currently watching it.
All the shots look like a shitty Japanese soap opera.
They're trying to cram as much of the anime into one movie.
Stereotypical anime bullshit is mixed in there. (Cutesy shit the ladies do, Incredible over acting by everyone... EVERYONE)
There is no time to develop or feel for any of the minor characters before they are killed off.
They should've just done a brief intro,
Trying to resurrect their mother,
Alphonse in armour
Eric no arm/leg.
And then had them pulling into a random station in a random town for an original stand alone adventure set during their quest for the stone.
Keep the original cast and Cameo's small.
And for fucks sake give the guy playing Eric a better fucking wig.
Like the scene with the Chimera.
You see the kid Nina, like all of 20 seconds.
The fuck do we care if she gets turned into a talking dog animal person.
Also Where the fuck was Scar?
And Major Armstrong?
No Barry the Chopper so far.
Its a fucking mess
The Rock and Chris Rock
>You see the kid Nina, like all of 20 seconds.
And yet Sup Forums niggers constantly say Brotherhood is the bet anime even though that episode is 20 minutes long, we see Nina for 2 minutes boom dead dog episode ends.
At least in the original kino anime that episode was a two parter.
>everyones asian
fucking what
that's always the problem
Some of the most notable anime have characters that are clearly not meant to be asian, Cowboy Bebop, FMA, Attack on Titan, Naruto, etc. but Japs are notoriously jewish with live action shit so they don't try to adapt anime properly.
Jesus Christ I regret ever complaining about anime movies with white people as main characters. Asians are such shit actors and all look the same
>Eric
I wonder why these filmmakers don't understand that casting Japanese actors only actually changes the source material.
Nepotism is one thing but if I were the mangaka I would really not be glad about it.
If no mention is made about heritage I can somewhat see it, something like Death Note casting Japanese actors is not a problem even though a lot of the cast has European features, but stuff like FMA and AoT where orientals are actually portrayed as orientals and referred to as such should have non-oriental looking casts.
Same goes for language in any movie, this movie should be spoken German, just as Black Panther should not be spoken in English.
Reminder that anime characters are literally modeled off of european feature
One of my favorite show.
Also cast him.
Chloe and Idris Elba
Recast them.
BRUH LOOK AT THE TOP OF HIS HEAD
that fucking wig is so abhorrent
1980s Keitel
fassenbender
Edward - Idris Elba
Al - The rock
Kindly neck yourself.
Friendly reminder that Sup Forums hates en curse Edward, Bradley and FMA with a great passion.
>Sup Forums is a shit board.
i actually think the guy they got for Huges wasn't too bad.
if i watched the 2003 show, should i also watch brotherhood?
Of course!!
If you want to know the original manga story..go watch.
I prefer the 2003 show over brotherhood
2003 is kino
Brotherhood is okay, but it's the Reddit version of the series
>b-b-but it's closer to the manga!
So fucking what? The original was objectively better. You didn't have Mustang blowing up Homunculus with ease, Lust was an actual character and the Bradley was superior as Pride rather than Wrath.
The only things worse in 2003 are Barry plays a lesser role (but not much), Wrath is an annoying fuck and people don't understand the kino movie and pretend it's a cash grab, when the movie that ends Brotherhood is a LITERAL cash grab that adds nothing to the story.
SURELY
it would've been cheaper to make a suit of armour,
Put a guy in it and green screen his face out from the gaps?
And you forget about that annoying chinese kid ..and Scar arc..
>suit of armor
>in a movie
Breh we're in the cheap plastics age, no studio would spend money on actual fucking armor.
Besides that CGI armors look great, it's just that Japan doesn't know how to do CGI at all.
fucking PERFECT
SO NATURAL AND ORGANIC
Yes. Chink kid was terrible Scar arc was incredibly boring in Brotherhood, the endings was dumb where everyone just goes whoop we saved the day, brava Edward, brava.
Add in that Ed and Winry actually get together and Ed sacrifices his alchemist powers but in return gets alchemist powers but with a different name. The ending sucks.
We don't even get to see Hitler.
Name a better anime than FMA: Brotherhood. You literally cannot.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
FMA: 2003
>Brotherhood is okay, but it's the Reddit version of the series
Please fuck off, you pleb.
While 2003 is kino, Brotherhood was great cause many characters got screentime and many more who where cut from the 2003 were included. Bradley was better as Pride, I give you that but still, Brotherhood gave us more screentime of based Bradley and don’t forget the tank kino scene and his enterance. Overall I liked them both.
Brotherhood was great because we got to waste tons of screentime following a Chink having an identity crisis where the actual emotional parts of the show Nina were cut down to be 5 minutes long.
I wanted to watch Neon Genesis Evanglion but unfortunately I got spoiled for the middle and the end.
FUCK YOU BORIS!!
I don't understand how anyone can spoil Evangelion. How the fuck do you even spoil End of Evangelion. It's not like it would make any sense if you don't have the context.
Stop this meme. The original comes nowhere near the scale of Brotherhood’s story and the quality of all the characters. Also significantly better music, some of the best ever.
He was good in this movie tho. Story was more ridiculous too and better cgi
Why are the kids so old in this movie compared to the manga?
they don't adapt it with european actors because guess fucking what, whites especially white japanese speaking actors are fucking minority in japan
same way whites are a majority in USA/UK movies which always get accused of whitewashing when it's just because you're selecting from a pool of actors available
Again I give you that, but despite that fucking shit, I still love Brotherhood. Don’t get me wrong, I think 2003 is kink but Brotherhood was also great.
look at LUST
>Mustang explodes Envy 300 times over until Envy becomes a little screaming blob that teleports Edward and Literally Who to a CGI realm where Envy is a CGI monster for about 20 episodes and nothing happens.
>This is better than 2003.
Okay.
I saw the end on YouTube
>You literally cannot.
PING PONG
What's wrong with hiring foreign actors?
Language shouldn't be a problem because only babies have issues with subtitles, unless you're that much of a baby that you don't even watch films that aren't spoken in your native language. In that case movies aren't for you anyway.
i tried
THIS IS PAYBACK FOR DEATHNOTE ROUND EYE
That still doesn't make much sense. You mean you saw "CONGRATULATIONS!" or "How disgusting?" Neither would make sense without the context.
Usually the real reason they cast older actors for teenage roles is for when you sexually fantasize about them, it's not pedophilia.
I've seen pictures of the end many times but I don't feel spoiled in the slightest even though I still need to watch it.
Without context it makes so little sense to me I can't get it anyway, no different from trailers showing random scenes.
Brotherhood was made with the expectation that most fans had already seen the original series, so they just rushed through what had already been adapted. Either way Nina still was handled fine with enough screen time, every brotherhood only watcher I've met didn't have a problem with it or felt it was too rushed.
I saw both but wait...can I still watch it? From the beginning till the end? So there’s hope afterall, should I give it a try?
Based user.
Sperg rant here but the reason I love Evangelion so much is how great The End of Evangelion is. There are actually plebs who say you can watch is a standalone movie but that's wrong. You need to watch the anime first to understand why EoE is so great.
Even though EoE is like the fever dream of a crazed Jap, if you understand the story of Evangelion and piece all of it together then the movie makes perfect sense. Elitist f/a/ggots or trolls on Sup Forums say Evangelion is "2deep4u" or pretentious but it's hardly either of those things. Everything in it makes sense and it barely stops to nudge the viewer into reminding them of how clever they are as filmmakers.
>can't sexualize people younger than teenagers
>japan
hmm
>I saw both but wait...can I still watch it? From the beginning till the end? So there’s hope afterall, should I give it a try?
Yes, user. I could literally type out a word for word re-enactment of key scenes of End of Evangelion and you wouldn't understand what the fuck I'm talking about even if I posted screenshots.
Watch Evangelion episodes 1-26 and then watch The End of Evangelion. Despite "spoilers" or seeing parts of the ending on Youtube the experience can't possibly be ruined.
Nathan Jones for Armstrong
Thanks user, may the gods Bless you a healthy and happy life. I gonna watch Evanglion. Also the intro is 10/10, would listen again.
Enjoy this pic I posted, 4 you.
>Bradley will never be your dad.
Much suffering
Attack on Titan
Ping Pong
>Winry isn't even blonde
Fucking japs. Why even bother making it if they can't cast properly. Same problem happened with the SnK flick.
The actual NGE series isn't as good as people play it up to be. End of Evangelion is fucking fantastic though.
LOOK AT THIS DUDE
>What's wrong with hiring foreign actors?
Do you want them to speak english in a japanese movie? with subtitles?? or you want white english actors speaking japanese in a japanese movie?
i watch korean movies just fine but if they start having them speak english or ENGRISH then it's just stupid
...
It is and it isn't. "Monster of the week" is a valid criticism and the final two episodes - no matter how much we can pretend they are kino - are complete trash.
...
This was one of the first anime I watched as a teen, I hadn't really seen much prior aside from a tiny bit of Sailor Moon and DBZ. I was still pretty naive/sheltered and the episodes in the butcher shop and with the dog homunculus absolutely fucked me. I don't remember much of it now but the image of them sitting on the steps after the deal with the dad and his daughter is cemented in my memory.
Are we talking about anime that would make better adaptations?
Based on that gif alone, looks like a good cast. He has the stupid smile down and looks a lot like the character, who is supposed to be a white guy, I'm genuinely surprised. Wardrobe on point too.
Makes that Ed look like an amateur cosplayer.
I read this manga and by the end I was so sick of everyone making this face. Even his cop sidekick started doing it. The whole story felt pretty pointless, just wanking off on how "strong" dracula is and how it takes a kid turning into cosmic soup to kill him which is why fat manly tears started the war, except nevermind he's still alive after all that. Such a waste of time.
Vin Diesel as the girl.
Sean Connery as the robot.
Chloe Grace Moretz as the guy.
Must watch youtu.be
Lmao
So from the looks of it neither Japan or America can make live action adaptation of an anime.
this is why i come here
fma is the only anime that required white people
yeah but the nips fucking suck as casting
virtually all of their actors look the same
...
>wahhh why does a Japanese movie made for the Japanese to watch based on a Japanese manga series casting Japanese actors????
>that comment
Lel
Brotherhood rushed the beginning because it was the same as the original anime for the most part. They just assumed if you're watch Brotherhood you watched the original. I agree it sucks they rush through some good stuff but I can understand why they did it.
best part of the flick
