Pretty much any scene ever. Women are pretty stupid and only like what their bf likes.

youtu.be/EmTz7EAYLrs

...

I came to find this scene more sad than Gandalf's death on repeat viewing. Boromir is a tragic figure and dies redeeming himself.

Post ovaries

also gandalf comes back

The ending of In Bruges. Any part of In Bruges actually

movie men don't understand when

sex and the city maybe?

Come to think of it, I have never seen a woman who was fascinated by a midget (unless she was already a midget)

>Unironically thinking Boromir is a "bad guy"
>Missing the entire fucking point by a mile

A mandatory penis inspection should take place before you are allowed to watch true kino.

Robert was right.

robert?

>I came to find this scene more sad than Gandalf's death on repeat viewing. Boromir is a tragic figure and dies redeeming himself.
Even if his actions were wrong, they were for the right reason, to save his people.

He would have gone to the gates of Mordor with his king so save the human race.

This should be an inspiration to whites in Europe and the rest of the west, we need to fight the hordes of orcs or die trying.

what an embarrassing post
talk about movies you dummy

Is there actually anything to that show beyond sluts being sluts?

idk i'm not a woman

>what a coward! he should have stayed and helped his wife and the kid!

tell me if i'm close
>it kind of sucks that all we're good for is our bodies
>at least we get to experience 10 years of ez-mode hedonism to take our mind off that

Shit movie but my friend's gf turned to us and said "just kiss already."
>tiredpepe.jpg

those movies were really forgettable but that image reminded me of how comfy a lot of the lighting was

pic related

>mfw I start rewatching The Sopranos and Fellowship on the same day
feels fucking great. Think I might just watch Sopranos and LotR constantly. Why not?

can't not see the black boromir at this thumbnail now

Imagine a fantasy movie being analogous to your world view

People actually thought Boromir was bad? Even as a kid when I watched this movie I understood Boromir's motives for trying to use the ring.

it's much much more moving and sadder than Gandalf's "death." Never even thought to compare them. although partly maybe it's because you know Gandalf doesn't really "die"

>mythos written with historical allegories has parallels to the present
WOOOOOAAAAAHHHHHHH

>>mythos written with historical allegories
Wanna know how I know you haven't read the books?

>story about a dark lord vying to dominate all life in middle earth
>parallels to the present
How can someone have such a simple minded view of the real world?

Regardless of Tolkien's intention that nothing in LotR was allegorical, it is impossible to deny this. To do so would be as brainlet-tier as

Im now imagining Jason Momoa as a young Baratheon.

youtube.com/watch?v=gYMTmDh1KQU

KINO

he already had a role in got

Uhh who are the hordes of orcs here?

what a bad image.

user, drawing parallels from a work of fiction does not make that work of fiction allegorical after the fact.

Communists.

amerimutts

Tolkien hated allegory.

He also hated Nazis.

This may be a retarded question but why did Boromir and so many others think they could use the ring to fight Sauron? As far as I could tell the ring didn't really imbue any special powers to the one who wielded it. It granted the power of invisibility but not to the ring wraiths so it's kind of useless in the hands of anyone but Sauron

Boromir explained it: the Ring would give him the power of Command. Armies would flock to him and his foes would fly before him.

Basically the Ring can boost your charisma to god level and also cause your enemies to cower and run from you. We saw a hint of this when an orc in Cirith Ungol ran like hell from Sam due to the Ring beefing up his image.

the ring tempted them to think that way

If he became invisible then he could be Middle Earth's greatest stealth archer and could kill all the orc commanders

t.Talion

This but unironically

>threads virgins will never stop making

>me as a kid: boromir was a bad guy he deserved it
>mfw when I watch it now

there are none

>mfw when
holy shit, i'm an idiot

4chinks

I like how protective Boromir is of Merry and Pippin
>teaches them to fight
>jumps across the gap with them in Moria
>they ride in his boat
>dies protecting them
>THEY TOOK THE LITTLE ONES

this is why we tell you to lurk more newfag.
nice digits tho

boromir confirmed pedo

None of this happens in the book. Shit scene that ruins the original story.

Too much BOOOM explosion action for plebs. No wonder you all ate it up

>None of this happens in the book
Yes it does

Oh right I forgot he lives in the book.

getaloadofthisguy.jpg

the ring does a lot more than just turn you invisible, it boosts a lot of your existing powers in a bad way. it wasnt especially powerful in frodos hands because frodo wasnt powerful. the more powerful a character is, the more power the ring gives and gets. this is why gandalf is afraid to take it

youtube.com/watch?v=K3VOf3CBGvw

this scene is meant to show what would happen if an exceptionally powerful character (only gandalf and sauron are above galadriel in power level) other than sauron would use the ring.

You just had to ruin the fucking thread.

woman confirmed.

The under-races, aka the brown horde which inhabits most of the earth and is currently multiplying out of control

dude, you're in a lotr thread. Keep your brainlet shit out of here

...

>Boromir is dead when they arrive
>Aragorn doesn't slay any orcs during this part
>The orcs originally dont even give a fuck about boromir, only kill him because he starts protecting the hobbits, (literally didn't even need to die as we find out later when the hobbits get away on their own)
>boromir never tells aragorn that he tried to take the ring
>aragorn did not "let frodo go", he's not even certain he's gone yet.
>certainly no last breath my captain my king

fuck off plebs. stick to marvel comic books if you can't even remember what was in the book

>(only gandalf and sauron are above galadriel in power level)
whattabout saruman.

Dudes whose fathers were either absent or spineless think Broromir was a bad guy.

terrible movie but i audibly kekked from that

cant tell if retarded or very high tier bait

so basically the book version is worse

youtube.com/watch?v=tWxn-4ZP-ns

also in the same film dagonet sacrificing himself

This scene.

Hidden kino movies, ignored for so long as part of the teen novel genre but actually full of great performances.

>character played by Seth Rogen doesn't know who Boromir is

Suspension of disbelief shattered

i would say they are roughly equal since galadriel has a ring of power and he doesnt

if you prefer this version you're an actual retard, get of your high horse faggot

nah the book version is better because they dont slay 50000000 orcs in 10 minutes

Yeah that movie series has kinography, its just they are always too long and pompous. I suffered through the third and my GOD. But then there were perfect death scenes and scene on the Island was wonderful.

But that's wrong. Aragorn found Boromir before he died and Boromir confessed that he tried to take the Ring. Aragorn didn't share this with anyone, though. (However, Frodo and Sam effectively admitted it to Faramir.)

He should have...

fuck off orc lover

would he be sauron tier if he had one, tho?

WRONG

>wanting to see a borefest
there's a lot of parts on the books that are better than the movie, but that one is not one of them

depends on the ring, if he had the one he would probably come close. sauron was a maiar of higher rank than gandalf and saruman though so i would guess not as powerful as sauron with the one. one of the three would make him rotk gandalf, one of the seven or nine and he would be below rotk gandalf but higher than galadriel.

>all these retarded replies
He's right you know

ROTK Gandalf doesn't seem that powerful
I'm talking as a casual of course, never read the silmarillion

Not seen the third yet but looking forward to it.

I get what you mean, they are all 30-40 minutes too long.

>I woulda followed yo ass my brotha, my nigga, my kang

Powerful.

back to containment board please

>Sup Forums starting to creep in to lotr threads
these are dark times

>fully justified text for a six word quotation

explain yourself you fucking halfwit

his powers arent all geared towards war, he is mostly a great advisor, diplomat and strategist. the problem with the films is they show the witch king (as the most powerful villain actually fighting) breaking his staff which would indicate that he could beat the shit out of gandalf. in the book gandalf just isnt sure wether he can beat the wk at rotk power level. also all of the wks powers are based around war, fear and destruction so even if he would be gandalfs match in a fight he wouldnt come close in any other area. the only scene i can think of in the film where gandalf shows what he can do is when he blinds the nazgul to cover the retreat from osgiliath.

What can I say, it's the beginning of the age of men. Elves and maiar are old and busted and can't do anything right anymore.

I see.
Also, he defeated a Balrog, right? I never understood how he could do that and then question about fighting the WK. Are Balrogs not that strong?

lotr is essential Sup Forumscore
only white heroes and evil mongrels, every man cares deeply about his country, loyalty to his allies and race and most of them die heroes or survive the war. combine that with the gondor visuals and you have /pols perfect 10/10

yes but it's also about the good left in the world and about hope.
Sup Forums is all about being in shit and they will never truly understand lotr
