Loved this show, the twists in the last episode are epic.

I honestly didn't care for the plot too too much. I just loved the setting and the way it portrayed the mania in Berlin before the fall of the Weimar Republic.

Well, it's mostly about the criminal underbelly and political unrest so more of the first.

It’s full-on decadence cheek-by-jowl with soul-crushing poverty. It’s fucking incredible.

It's not that explicit but child prostitutes do appear in it.

I guess my question was do they try to portray the fucking Wiemar Republic as some progressive utopia. Answer seems to be no so I'll probably give it a watch.

well it takes place before the great depression so economically it shows a healthy germany, however it also depicts the sexual deviancy of Berlin at the time and also shows the reds trying to take over the country (and getting beaten up by cops lel)

Yus, I've been wanting to read the book first but I'll definitely check it out.
