I was never hit by nostalgia, too young for most of the 80s references in modern cartoons and they just make jokes abo how stupid and edgy the 90s were, but this one was just fun I had a grin from ear to ear with this one
Succulentus

I absolutely did not expect it and I was laughing to myself about it for the rest of the day. Favourite reference easily.
This was a parody of nu-metal, right? Got a chuckle out of me.
Every fucking word out of his face while fighting was a song lyric it was beautiful.
The episode has like 10 music reference in 2 minutes, it was pretty awesome
Not only that, he was voiced by Korn's lead singer.
What happen to that type of music and those band?
Yeah, I was like "Is that Jonathan Davis?" It's so weird seeing 90s/00s now becoming so old it's nostalgic.
Like Succulentus they grew old, I love blink 182 but they are now like 40 singing about teenage stuff the same could be said to other bands like sum 41 and simple plan.
There is a documentary named The Other F Word about that
>It's literally Johnathon Davis
I don't watch this show but this warmed a cold forgotten place in my heart.
>other OK KO thread is deleted
okay fine. I'll ask this here
is there a character named Fruit Punch? and if not, an OC?
they were shit?
Honestly, I'm kinda expecting Ian jq to take some of the OCs and put them in the show
During minor, insignificant parts, but still
Feels like a movie premise
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza !
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza !
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza !
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza !
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza !
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza !
theyd have to have people sign a release but i wouldnt be shocked if there was a contest or something. it'd be huge hype
A bloom cactus, bloom in the plaza!
>*similarly emphasized scat nonsense*
That was my favorite one of the bunch
>6 to 11 years ago was 2006 to 2011
they spouted musical references faster than jojo
you take that back
They went from this to that in 6-11 years
peyote is a hell of a drug
Have you seen the bands members they referenced?
>tfw "A nice cup of coffee would really wake me up inside right about now
They missed "it's been a while" by stained.
Watching you kids being nostalgic about the 90's is so fucking embarrassing.
90s was great
except music. i will never understand anyone who likes any of that. not that anything made after is any better, mind you.
bump for more original content
I think all the 90s - 2000s music age well with exception of Marilyn Manson, but all of the 80s band did not
>you wanted to
fucking kek
80s music is like 80s TV. very little of it classic, plenty of it good, plenty embarrassingly terrible.
but as a general rule good music died in the late 70s and we just have to deal with that until good music happens again
People old enough to be nostalgic about the 90's are in their mid 20's now, grandpa
uh, little older than that. if you were a little toddler in the 90s you're hardly nostalgic for it
So this is my guess
> Shavo odadjian - System of a down
> Fat Guy - No idea
> Jonathan Davis - Korn
> Amy Lee - Evanescence
is there another thread going right now?
Carol actually beat him, she used power mimic to use his power to control cactuses to control him.
fat guy - smashmouth singer
Not really, unless you want to make one
nothing wrong with this one
man i really do need to make an OC but i'm busy drawing something else at the mo
i could probably fit in a cute dendy though. nice thing about shows like this. art's simple. easy to do a ton of fanart
The time scale is pretty fucked
I mean, that or cactoi age quickly instead of slowly like you'd expect
or it's just because of their shitty buttrock lifestyle
I don't know man the guy was already a grampa with a grandson around the same age as KO
yeah youre right that must just be how they age
though two teen pregnancies in a row and anybody can be a grampa
did anyone else notice this?
It's early oughts, not 90s.
oh my god
korn was popular in my school in 1998
Your high school? She asked if she was into this 6 to 11 years ago. She's talking about the oughts.
middle school
and yeah good point that'd be weird. 6 to 11 years ago it wasn't even much of the 00s if any
This scene made me realize that OK KO is the first show I can think that accurately incorporates stuff from the late 90s/early 2000s that people my age (late 20s/early 30s) would actually be nostalgic for. Instead of feeling old, it made me feel like the people making the show were into the same dumb stuff I was into.
thinking Korn is shit we were into makes me feel not so much old as 'these aren't muh nerds, these are the jerks that knocked my books out of my hands repeatedly'
Late 90s, early 2000s. KoRn was my edgy jam back as a middle school student in '98-'99.
I just kind of hate you I guess
back then I was playing Zelda and StarFox and wishing Pokémon would put out a 3d game, but studying it in the meantime just in case. Watching fuckin powerpuff girls and dexter's lab and whose line is it anyway. I had no need for music that came on a CD and I didnt like what I heard.
Around that time I was in elementary going into middle school. I was in a small town and the Internet wasn't a very big thing, so I'm sure those bands were largely unheard of there at that time. I just remember SOAD being post 2000, Toxicity being released 2001.
I listened to some Limp Biskit unironically the other day an I enjoyed it.
this guy was 10/10, loved every 2 minutes of him on screen
