ITT: First episode that makes you watch the rest of the show
That would be all of them. Who watches a later episode to get interested in a series?
Peaky Blinders
ROME
Black Sails
Spartacus
Firefly
fpbp
gaylord
X-files, 1st one from 1993
I watched ‘Fly’ after quitting Breaking Bad during season 2, and it interested me enough to pick it back up.
>imagine the disappointment
I do that all the time. I usually pic an episode somewhere 2/5th through the seasons since that's usually when shows are what they become so i know what im in for.
loads of people? pilots are usually some of the weakest episodes of them all
Battlestar Galactica
I watched the whole thing from 33, the first actual episode, without watching the miniseries. You don't really lose much. If anything it's better because it throws you into a cold open.
Firefly
True Detective
Sense8 (though i fucking hated all the gay shit)
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (with Jeremy Brett)
Altered Carbon (better than the book, but fuck the SJW/Feminism shit)
All Stargate series except Universe and Origins.
Space Above and Beyond
BBC Victorian Farm
People of Earth
The Orville
Les Revenants season 1
Forever (with Ioan Gruffudd)
Fuck season one was so good, of course it couldn't last.
same with Prison Break
Preacher (really the first 5 min where it starts with random peoples' heads exploding)
Jean Claude van Johnson
It was a thing, back in the 20th century.
I harassed a friend for weeks to whatch The Shield, he was like "eh", i was like "DUDE, just watch the first episode, then do as you like"
he binged the whole show in three weeks afterwards, thatshowisgoodholyshit
Homeland
Walking Dead
>watch Twin Peaks Pilot
>instantly hooked
>tell parents years later that they'll love it
>get a text from them saying I'm weird and they can't believe I'd like something like that
>Hooked from the pilot
>Twin peaks
The show only gets better soon it gets weirder. Pilot is boring shlock until the rest of the series unfold and you find out what really goes down
...
>The first episode
Did you mean the first minutes?
Recently it was Happy!
when he shot himself in the head and start dancing. Fun fact i suggested this serie to my boss, and knew after that his dad commited suicide like this.
The Riches.
red dwarf
married with children
true detective
the shield
dark
taboo
borgias
Well sure but there's a red room scene in the pilot that makes you want to dig deeper and keep watching
Battlestar Galactica
Firefly
True Detective
The Americans
Westworld
Lost
Damages
Rubicon
Manhattan
Homeland
House of Cards
