Hello senators

>Hello senators,

>The Jedi council has determined that a sith is directly influencing the senate. Therefore we are now requesting all of you undertake a blood test so we can see if any of you have a large amount of midichlorians.

>Of course, you are free to refuse. It would beg the question of why you did so though

Why didn’t they do this?

George's "Muh dark side clouds everything" excuse

You really think someone would do that? Just go and become the senate?

Then it could easily be Yoda or Windu?

>Palpatine says this is tyrannical
>convinces the senators to give him more powers to stop this kind of thing

the amount of Midichlorians doesn't determine what side they're on. Retard.

...

This.

AFAIK in legends there was some random Jedi Master who proposed this and also suggested that Palpatine do it first as an example.
He didn't live much longer.

Hello congressman, Im a general and also presbiterian, the jews are ploting to destroy our nation, we want you to take a blood test to see who has jewish dna
Thanks

The senate gave palpatine control of the jedo council after the battle of coruscant

But in this universe it’s considered normal to test people for midichlorians. That’s how they find Jedi to train

SITH HACKERS

Based Sheev would twist this to his advantage.

The Jedi don't have the authority to order shit to the Senate.

>order

It literally says request and free to refuse in the OP

Try reading dumb fuck

Didn't the Jedi not exactly have the most sunny of reputations in the Republic? like not outright hated but like, people did not understand things like light side and dark side, and why this cult was allow to just abduct children.

>Based Sheev would twist

how do you know that? they never say this

So 90% of people there refuse and it accomplishes nothing. Genius plan, that.

You don't make a request by telling people they will get into trouble if they don't do as you say, that's a thiny veiled order.

all these excuses..

based

Yeah cause that worked so well for Macready

its a good trick

that would prove nothing

1. The Jedi are going to test every single Senator when it could be none of them, it could be a member of a senator's staff, it could be an infiltrator, it could be someone who was not a senator.

2. How do we even know the Jedi have the time, people and resources to take a blood test for tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people? Even if they had all of those, it would still be a time consuming process, and would also alert the Sith and give them enough time to entrap the Jedi.

3. What if a Senator has an especially large amount of Midichlorians? It is highly possible a senator's race may be particularly prone to having a high Midichlorian count, Yoda's race, for example?

4. Having a high Midichlorian count does not prove that you are not a sith, it just proves you have a high affinity with the force. This would also potentially put the Jedi in hot water if they wrongly convict someone, and makes their position weaker against the Sith conspirator who seeks to undermine the Jedi.

5.What happens if enough Senators don't take the Jedi seriously? The Jedi may be guardians of the Republic but it's possible quite a few systems do not have much respect for the Jedi and their Senators would not care to comply with the Jedi's request, just refusing to have a Midichlorian test is not enough basis of evidence for the Jedi to suspect someone of being a sith when there could be many other reasons.

Literally makes less sense that George Lucas

Wasn't it implied that determining someone's actual power through their midichlorian count was actually bullshit?
