Just finished watching it myself. Not bad I guess, but it could have been better with some changed lines and added scenes with Bucky

Memes aside, what is the reason for this movie's success abroad? I find it difficult to believe that Thailand of all countries would watch a movie just to see a black actor. It can't be quality either, because this movie really isn't anything special in terms of writing and directing. So why is it so successful in other countries?

Have seen it tonight, too. It was one or maybe the most boring marvel movie up to date. The plotline could been seen from miles away and even the action scenes were as bland as the characters. Only Okoye, main red defender, was more charming/interesting than every other character.

How about this: Instead of Michael B. Jordan playing an racist dictator ass (yes, killmonger is a racist against all other six billion people, because he wants to primarly support the two billion african people as he stated in the movie.), he could be a good king and do the right things bp is doing at the end of the movie. So the viewer is in a pitch between liking killmonger and bp. Finally bp have to kill km, becauso of some shitty traditon for outsiders. After that bp realises that km was right and wakanda has to open their borders. Also here is a second problem with the movie.
bp buys houses and apartments to support help for black kids... in america. Well, that IS a good thing, but shouldn't he helping africa more? It's like any other human on earth, who is helping some kids with problems in a different country instead of his own country/land where issues are way more problematic...

Beautiful visuals, although the cgi could've used a bit more work. The villain had a good backstory and motivation behind him as well.

The only thing it needed were more meaningful action scenes. The entire group battle at the end was completely pointless.

What Sup Forums doesn't understand is that while Asians don't like LIVING around blacks, they don't give two flying fucks about watching them in movies, as long as shit explodes and monsters get punched.

The ONLY thing I see as an issue is that Black Panther performed waaaaaay bigger domestically than internationally, which isn't usually the case with capeshit. Still, same happened with Soy Wars and they all did a billion.

it was a small movie for a small superhero... there was nothing really exciting about any of it. there is no "mystique" about that panther guy we havne't seen him do anything really cool, in his element except in the intro of the movie
