It's hit or miss, depends on the movie and the transfer. I think BR2049, Dunkirk, The Revenant, and The Martian (no longer own) are astounding improvements, while others are barely noticeable. Also depends on what type of camera was used and resolution the DI was done at. A lot of movies today are still online edited and colored at 2K. TL;DR, hit or miss.
