Why wasn't this ability used in any other movies?

Why wasn't this ability used in any other movies?

It looks goofy

but it's a huge plot hole

It was? What, you think those lightsaber duels were at normal speed?

they might as well have been since it wouldn't make any difference if they were or not

Nope.

yes it is, why would you not use this power which can solve all kinds of problems?

the force was always an ass-pull wasn't it?

pleb pls

It was. In The Empire Strikes Back when Luke jumps out of the Carbon Freezing Chamber.

The scene even uses the same blur effect.

i mean, its not like everything else is slowed down to show that they're using force speed, and they're not moving at superhuman speed to show it either.

maybe, though it could have just been a force jump

there was no jumping in the nu-wars, that's all I want

Why didnt the queen amidala lightspeed ram the blockade control ship?

they didnt have enough force points

>what is nuance?
Jeeze, how much hand-holding do you need?

force jump = get somewhere quick

force run = get somewhere quick

It's clearly the same ability, represented with the same effect. And it's not something you see the Jedi using frequently so it must be tiring or difficult.

Force jump only increases the distance you can jump. It doesn't increase the speed at which you jump. Sort of how force speed doesn't increase your strength, or ability to read minds.

it's been implied that the jedi of old were capable of far greater feats of power and speed than the jedi that feature in the modern movies, as though the power of its users dwindled very swiftly

It went to the same place that hyperspace ramming is gonna go to

> Force jump only increases the distance you can jump. It doesn't increase the speed at which you jump

Increasing the speed of your jump is how you jump higher, otherwise you'd be flying or levitating, which no force user has been able to do in disney canon (i think it's in legends somewhere)

wow those droidekas look like shit. I guess i never noticed unless I looked at a still image

it's 6 non-literary pieces that form one very simple family drama story.
The director put exactly whatever he wanted into each individual film like an artist would approach a blank canvas, with each painting only needing to match the tone and theme for that particular point in the story. What you feel when you watch each film is exactly what he intended, while giving you the small digests of the skywalker drama through bits of dialogue and visual tome poems. The Star Wars prequels were the apex of (then) modern cinema in an era that started with episodes 4-6 and ended around ten years ago.

*tone

i know im just saying that because it was used in one movie there's no good reason for it to not be used in other movies (at least in the prequels). It's like they literally forgot how useful this ability was.

You need to remember, this was largely aimed at children. That's why they were named things like "force speed" and "force jump," so it was clear what they actually did.

> it was made for children
doesn't mean it can't be internally consistent

POTTERY

also, those abilities were originally named in Dark Forces 2, if I remember correctly. Not really a children's game
