Two Littykinos in the same year
the defiler of disney
Funnily enough I truly would rather watch the kind of variety of blockbuster than Dwane Johnson stars in than superhero movies any day.
These movies can actually be fun, or at least aesthetically compelling in a kind of digital sublime kind of way, whereas capeshit is just mediocre and middlebrow reddit.
Jumanji / Fast & Furious / Michael Bay / Nic Cage movies etc are all better than like any Marvel or even DC movie. Rampage looks like everything I want out of some grotesque blockbuster spectacle. Massive, senseless, apolitical, populist, hyperreal fun.
>Massive, senseless, apolitical, populist, hyperreal fun.
FOR THE FANS
>it's fun
Good Time, Drive, Spring Breakers were all fun. Thief and Heat are fun. Stalker is fun. Body Double, Robocop, The Thing, Videodrome... fun.
Who /raunchy/ here?
> apolitical
> populist
lol amerimutt education in a nutshell
>two
'the fuck's a litty?
Populist has different meanings, buddy. Just like 'realist' has different applications / meanings. There's left populism, right populism, apolitical mainstream populism in entertainment and media, etc. And I'd put my education and knowlege up against yours.
It's going to be kino. Better than Skyscraper and Rampage.
Reminder 2019 will be even more LITTY
>Hobbs & Shaw
>SHAZAM
>Jumanji 2
apolitical is just media with politics that you like or that you don't have an interest in
take the plot of Rampage for example:
> Primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable and unbreakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, albino gorilla who has been in his care most of its life. But a mysterious genetic experiment mutates this once gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered that a wolf (Ralph) and crocodile (Lizzie) have gone under similar changes. As these newly created apex predators battle each other for supremacy and tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer (Naomie Harris) to secure an antidote and fight his way through the ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe, but also to save the fearsome beast that was once his friend.
This is anti-GMO/hardcore environmentalist propaganda
What a guy.
Jumanji 2 was in 2017.
Rampage sounds great desu
Do you think Jurassic Park was anti-GMO/hardcore environmentalist propaganda?
The movie exists to make money and be entertaining. It's based on a senseless, fun monster videogame where they smash up cities. Okay I'll admit if I have one slight political bias it's for environmentalism but I hadn't even considered that being thrown into the plot. But that's just a device here to add a specious moral dynamic to a contrived plot.
But I'm not a fan of reducing things to the political. Life is too weird and complex and constantly curving around on you to politicize it in any effective, efficient, rational way. Any ideology doesn't even really know what it wants, it's just another machine doing itself in a competitive ecosystem. Morality I think matters (as in living according to love) but politics rarely get at that because the prerogative puts its own machinations and self-propagation first.
Will he ever star in a movie worth rewatching?
Rock should have played Paige's dad for the pure comedy value of him playing a fat chav on a council estate.
The Rundown and Walking Tall
>The movie exists to make money and be entertaining.
that's all blockbusters, even the ones that are supposedly super-political
like in Black Panther, the actual politics make 10 minutes of the film at best, the rest is still the same disney mix of action, CGI garbage, quips and romance.
Well yeah, this is why I'm cynical of politics. It's ultimately all just entities trying to thrive. 'Politics' is just professional utilitarianism, and its outward 'discourses' just a kind of cynical leverage wielded in an attempt to claim the upper hand or to maximize profits.
The madman has four movies coming out this year, four movies coming out next year, one movie coming out in 2020, one movie coming out n 2021, and 5(FIVE) movies in pre-production
Not only is he LITTY and RAUNCHY, but he is also going full-on big budget ERIC ROBERTS
what he do with all the monies
