Why are men so dark skinned and women so light skinned? I don't know about races in India but I thought if people have the same race they also have the same skin colour so do they hire white people for the female roles? The Indian females I know have a dark skin colour just like the guy in the picture and you can not cover that skin colour with make up to become white. So what's the deal with light skinned women and dark skinned males in Bollywood films?
Indian films- men are dark / women are white- WHAT?!

South/SouthEast Asians have a cultural fetish of trying to be "white" tanned.
Since normal peasants/people get normal dark tanning from working outdoors, it is a sign of status to remain free of this tan, and more white, which historically probably only worked for the rich who would remain indoors in shade. Then throw in a mix of trying to copy European/Murican white skinned fashion/looks and worshipping foreign cultures in weird ways.
For men, they always care less about looks, and it's probably okay to remain somewhat tanned without having to apply skincare products.
Indians prefer light skinned actors and actresses because they hate niggers. They don't like dark skinned male actors; I don't what delusion you are getting this from.
Same reason people all over the world film light skin people over dark skin people
Color bias
Darker colors are seen as unpopular, just as there aren’t many dark main characters, people typically don’t wear dark colors unless the show itself is dark
far and lovely
Which group has a bigger interval between male and female attractiveness, eastern Europe/Russia or india?
Are there any ethnic groups that actually have men that are much more attractive than the women?
If you are foreigner white shitty actor, study hindi and go there, you'll become a star in no time. There was a english old guy who died recently who was like a deity there, and a french girl has recently getting tons of roles there.
The same happen on Mexican soap operas. I guess it's wish-fulfillment
Because the women aren't characters but objects signifying the status of the man who posseses her. And light skin has been high status for thousands if years there
Indian capeshit> Western Capeshit
this series was honestly better than Iron Man
Bollywood employs a metric farkton of Dermablend full coverage foundation seversl shades too light on the skin of women.
Take all of the makeup off of some of those actors and extras.
Pretty sure you're watching Tollywood (Tamil) and not Bollywood (India). In Bollywood movies, the guys are mostly light-skinned as well.
...
that's some devils magic
> I don't know about races in India but I thought if people have the same race they also have the same skin colour
Across all races, women tend to have a ligher skin tone than their respective men.
>7 minute difference
What'd she do use a paint roller?
it's the same with black ghetto movies, 90% of the time the female love interest has noticeably fairer skin
I guess it's the same as in China, watch any Jackie Chan movie from the last few years out of there and all the white people in them are just Europeans that studios plucked from international schools in Beijing and Shanghai
Indians disgust me so fucking much.
I'd rather see what that cutie in the back looks like after.
...
I assumed it was still like the 90's, and any Aussie cunt who didn't look like they'd fought in the Emu wars, would get some screen time
>tfw South East Asian and never heard of this before

>Why are men so dark skinned and women so light skinned?
This happens in every race, dumbo.
OH NO NO
I assume you're talking about Tom Alter and Kalki Koechlin. Both of them were born and raised in India, lived there all their lives, spoke the local languages fluently and were basically Indian in everything but race. White expat actors in Bollywood usually get bit parts and background dancer work, not really something that would make you a star.
Holy fuck
