I can't watch this film, bros. The jumpscares of the 00's made me incapable of not looking at the girl's face without almost freaking out.

>the most famous scene is a deleted one
The fuck?

NO

Watch the third one, skip the second.

What's the point if the first is the good one?

That's what your dad said when you were conceived after your brother

third kinda ruins the first desu

and the second one doesn't?

I'm the oldest, get fucked.

no need to get upset, onii-chan

That's actually fucking hilarious, you expect something to happen and then a dude in a white sheet jumps out like it's Halloween out there

just try me you faggot

there you go, user
it was his story

scariest film ever—believe it was true
only film that scares inner city high school students
my parents saw it at the time—there was audience reaction, almost like young Kubrick’s dream of making a horror movie you’d get your money back if you watched the whole thing

ok, that scared me real bad (thanks)
I recommend only seeing The Exorcist—if you believe, don’t meddle
If you don’t believe, why watch? One exorcism movie comes out per year.

Last exorcism any good? Got karras vibes from the synopsis

It's decent, ending is kinda lame tho. 7/10.

didn’t know Blatty did this—thanks

I found the exorcist to be pretty shit movie. People say it was innovative with gore, but texas chainsaw massacre came out only a year later and is a much better horror movie.

The exorcist is painfully slow, and the devil voice-over of the girl is almost comical.

...

Is that really an edgy opinion? I thought everyone on this board was a contrarian.
Also, not an argument.

I think that's her real voice

The marketing does it a disservice, you don't watch it for gore you watch it for a great story with a great protagonist and an unsettling atmosphere, it wasn't even written as a horror movie

I guess it must be normal to not be afraid of the exorcist if you were already desensitized to horror movies and watched it as an adult for the first time. The exorcist is an objectively good horror movie and scared the living shit out of normal people when it first came out. When people didn't have an endless amount of material to consume on a daily basis whenever they felt like it, they got scared of shit. People now aren't normal, they aren't scared of what they should be scared of because of over consumption of material.
