Is shit

Is shit.

(((OP)))

did they actually gender swap ed?

Was there a doubt that it wouldn't be?

The only decent part was the costume design.

>tits n braces

Another fine fma thread.

>tfw no king bradley

Who the fuck is this supposed to be?

>No Scar and King Bradley.
>Barely any bit of Ishval.
>Have Lust be the "main" villain.
>Not have Envy be the ultimate shit stirrer.
Odd adaption choices.

Yup.

Wasn't Full Metal Alchemist supposed to be set in Germany? lmao. Why did they even bother dying the guys hair here? Do Asians honestly think they look like a white person with just a change in hair color? ahahaha.

Why make the two blonde characters blonde but not make Winry blonde?

>no Armstrong

shitty

1. Yes
2. Yes, they do

>Final battle.
>Spikes fly out from the ground to save Mustang.
>Armstrong!
>It's Ed.
>O-Oh...

This. The costumes and a lot of the effects were pretty damn good. As a non-fan, I actually kind of enjoyed it.

Cept Gluttony's outfit. Gluttony's outfit is pretty bad.

Me: (doesn't disagree) I don't disagree

>As a non-fan, I actually kind of enjoyed it.
how? the script is atrocious and the pacing is awful. Is worst than any bayformer film.

Oh no...did we care about it?

>lust isn't even sexy

Wow who would have guessed weebshit is garbage?

When Al starts to question if he was ever a real boy

>Anime
They spar a little bit on a roof and talk it out
>movie
They beat the living shit out of each other

The only decent writing in that scene was the "it hurts" bit.

who the fuck are the girl next to huges and the old guy above him?

What is it with Japan and wigs?

they all have flat, straight black hair

That Hawkeye though.....

>winry isn't blonde
dropped

>The only decent writing in that scene was the "it hurts" bit.

This, the "it hurts" was pretty muche everything the scene need to work, sadly the whole escene was so redundant and long.

the effects were better than I expected, but they were not by any stretch "good" by modern standards

people were making fun of CGI in Black Panther and that was 1000x better than this.

has there ever been a legitimately good and well-acted live action Japan film? asking from a place of total ignorance, I've only ever seen anime adaptations and some J-horror, and it's all been pretty terrible.

I've seen some fucking amazing Korean films, but has Japan ever made anything quality that wasn't animated?

to be fair, there was no Japanese person who could have even begun to hope to fill the role

watch it with the english audio description track. Shit's amazing.

Most Kurosawa films, recently Shin Godzilla, and the Lone Wolf and Cub films

cannot think of other ones though

It felt like my mind was being torn apart...and it was a good thing.

Check out Tokyo Drifter. About a Yakuza boss who disbands his gang, and tries to retire as a legit citizen.

And a Colt is my Passport. About an assassin hired to kill a Yakuza leader.

They're both from the 1960s. And have this Japanese beatnik aesthetic with black suits and skinny ties and sun glasses.

>has there ever been a legitimately good and well-acted live action Japan film?

Blade of the Immortal, the manga is great, the movie by Takashi Mike great too.
