The whole movie was a travesty, the CG was bad and only a handful of Wedon-jokes actually landed.
The only good parts of this movie was the Flash in general and the superman rebirth fight scene.

It actually makes no sense though when i comes to steppenwolf. Its much easier to use existing and rigged character designs than to create a new one. And its much easier to animate a monster than a human because of the Uncanny Valley effect. the monster designs would have taken less effort to animate and render than the shit we got.

I don't think so, maybe they had something in their mind but the moment BvS collapsed so did their plans. There was no saving DC from it's dark and grim universe. It's just not going to work.
They could be good movies but mass appeal won't work.

This comes from someone who really enjoyed MoS and BvS... this movie is a trainwreck. There is no excuse that they released that with such shitty effects. WB should be ashamed. If I were Zack Snyder I would have my name erased from the credits.
There was no film needed prior to BvS. The film was perfectly self-contained if you watched the Director's Cut. The backstory hinted at in BvS makes Bruce a more interesting character than everything spelled out. And I'd say BvS Bruce is more interesting than any MCU character no matter how many standalone movies they've had.

Agree about Snyder. While it wasn't perfect, he had cool dark tone.
Marvel movies are too colorful and cheery.
JL was neither. Not as cheery as MCU, but not as serious as Snyder movies.
This way they lost Snyder fanbase, and couldnt gather enough MCU fanbase.
