I enjoyed the US one way more. Like all British TV shows, they just start finding their groove and then they end it. The UK Office is too short to be that good. This usually means the quality of their shows is decent, but they never hit a really high point because they never go long enough to get there. US TV shows usually take time to find their groove, then they hit their high point for a few seasons, then run way past when they should and end up being shit for the last season or two, which hinders the overall quality. The US Office did a pretty good job ending when it should have and it ended well, but it still had some weak seasons. Shows like Archer and Always Sunny did a decent job of avoiding shit seasons by simply making short seasons and short episodes, but even then they couldn't avoid some shitty seasons/episodes.

US has a better supporting cast and is funnier.

The US "version" shouldn't even be called by the same title. The UK Office isn't simply meant to be "DUDE AWKWARD SITUATIONS LMAO", but that's all the American mindset can comprehend in terms of it being a comedy. It completely misses the point of what Gervais and Merchant were trying to get across, which is the despair and absurdity of the modern British white-collar middleclass and the ineptitude of them socially. This doesn't actually exist in America, which by and large hosts an upperclass white-collar social group, who are all pretty much social experts. In the end these two shows aren't actually comparable.

I like some of The Office, just absolutely hate that really shitty type of writing where basically 90% of the plot would be non-existent if somebody just said something like "this is a misunderstanding, here's what happened", or if somebody just punched Michael in the face whenever he acted like a spoiled clueless kid (which is all the fucking time).

Still, US is better than UK.

Look at this and tell me this series wasn't tons of fun. US office is an absolute favorite of mine. everybody involved was talented, put their all into it and had a great time making it.
