What do people think of the idea of Citizen Kane as a mini series? Same period and setting but more opportunity to develop the characters and see things we didn't get to in the film.

I mean theres a photo of him with Hitler ffs that's gotta be an interesting story. On a more serious note, for people that were such an important part of his life, Kane's first wife and son were barely characters, we never even got to see his reaction to their deaths, nor Thatchers death for that matter.

So much material to work with.

i understand why you'd be interested but i kind of like that you don't know exactly how he met Hitler etc.
it's like how star wars was better before the prequels and all the fanfiction and endless theorising. sometimes you don't have to have every backstory explained for it to be interesting.

That's it, he's safe and does stuff like 80s genre movies did so give him star wars give him star trek.

Serial dramas are always the most middle of the road nothings.

But Kane is a villain, a pompous rich guy who is ultimately an object of ridicule - has to be a white guy. Vince Vaughn maybe.
