If one of the Doctor's actors was found to be a "wrong'un" and guilty of certain serious crimes which would you expect it to be?
Reminder that because Davison apparently hates Baker now we are never getting a Fiveish Doctors sequel.

Hartnell probably, although I can see Colin Baker getting really upset about something and killing a man.

I have now seen the error of my ways. After seeing this for the 47th time, I finally understand that I am doing wrong here. I will now leave this trip behind and become an user again.
Seriously though, any idea where to find full confidentials for S1-3?

He's beautiful. I had my sexual awakening to Peter Davidson's Doctor Who episodes.
Do you have anyone to share your Who obsession with in real life? My girlfriend is actually pretty into Who (even listens to some Big Finish) but all my friends just think it's nothing much to get excited about, even the ones that watch the show.

OFFICIAL /who/ RANKS WHO SERIES RANKINGS
Series 5 (7.249) > Series 1 (7.154) > Series 9 (7.018) > Series 4 (6.893) > Series 8 (6.767) > Series 3 (6.695) > Series 10 (6.606) > Series 6 (6.294) > Series 7 (6.030) > Series 2 (5.629)
I left out all specials. If you don't like the math, do it yourself. I might do Doctors and classic seasons later as well if people want it.
Comparing the results to the series ranking from 2016:
Series 9 (7.310) > Series 5 (7.295) > Series 8 (7.253) > Series 1 (7.116) > Series 4 (6.942) > Series 3 (6.707) > Series 6 (6.625) > Series 7 (6.436) > Series 2 (6.095)
Series 1, 3, and 4 did better than the previous polls. Every other series did worse.

I have one close friend who really loves the show. Hasn't done all of Classic but intends to, recently got very into BF. Thanks

DOCTOR WHO: SHIT TRIPS Vol. 2.5
- The Anthology -
>Are you a true fan of Doctor Who?
>Have you ever written down a sequence of words?
If the answer is yes or no, then you are ready to contribute a literary masterpiece to the third /who/ collection of original Doctor Who-based short fiction, because following the success of Shit Trips 1 and 2, /who/ has started another anthology of wondrous tales. God help us.
This time, the rules will be a tad different, as in we actually have rules now. The stories must be about:
> alternate Doctors (original Doctors, fanmade Doctors, Unbound Doctors, Doctors of wild divergence from canon)
> spinoff characters from audios, books, comics, etc (Torchwood, Erimem, Faction Paradox, Vienna, Sarah Jane Adventures, Iris Wildthyme, etc)
>companion focused stories (stories with the companion facing a threat, or dealing with life, WITHOUT the Doctor)
Besides that, no limits (and your story can be in more than one category above).
>Can still be in any style, whether it's "legitimate writing", "pisstake", or "shitpost".
>the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck
Anyone can contribute, no signups/pitches required. If you have ideas, feel free to broadcast them.
Rest is self-explanatory. Format for uploading your work is up to you, as long as it can be conveniently copied across (and ideally don't spam long texts in /who/ directly). (Pastebin or google drive works well.) And remember to mention, preferably in your work post, what you want your author moniker to be, which doesn't have to be your real name.
Remember, it doesn’t matter if it’s shit, just have fun! Deadline is April 2nd
you made it more plebby
mysterio hater user is an idiot
>series 4 above series 3 and 10
otherwise okay I guess
now kys, thanks
I guess I'm a pleb, i agreed with him. Royal blood is just boring but mysterio was actively bad
That's not a very nice thing to say. Don't be rude.
B U T T H O L E E Y E S
No, Mysterio is up there with shite like Fear Her. It doesn't even feel like Who, it just feels like a cheap b-movie. But the absolute worst part of it is that it is so god damn boring. It is one of the only episodes that I've wanted to just turn off.
mysterio was comfy and fun, without being as stupid as most of the other christmas specials
don't understand why it got so low in the poll
>Twice Upon a Time
It was lovely. You are a scalawag.
>It doesn't even feel like Who, it just feels like a cheap b-movie.
user....
>It doesn't even feel like Who, it just feels like a cheap b-movie.
it's a superhero expy of course that's the tone they were going for
>It doesn't even feel like Who, it just feels like a cheap b-movie
So, it feels exactly like Who. Glad we're clear on this
I like that people are only contradicting me on what makes my worst list.
That's kind of nice in a way, because you guys enjoy stuff and you want me to as well. No one wants me to stop enjoying the stuff I put in the good list.
You talk a lot of shit, /who/ but you guys are actually quite sweet.
would have been rumoured by now
WalshKino; youtube.com
Neo isn't sweet. He tried to stab my gran.
Mysterio is a fun romp that doesn't try to be anything more than that. It's very clearly just saying "hey, what if we did a superhero story?" and riffing on the classic superhero tropes. At this point DW has established a formula that allows it to become more of a medium for exploring different genres of storytelling/TV, not just individual stories, so they decided to riff on superman. It's no different than Time Heist being a DW version of a heist film, except it's unburdened by the gloomy characterization of S8 12.
Yeah, maybe B-movie isn't exactly the right word. It just didn't feel like an episode of Who to me, I get that they treied to do something different by doing a superhero pastiche but it would have helped if they had a clever twist on the formula or something. As the episode is right now, you know exactly what's going to happen from the moment the episode starts and that makes it incredibly boring.
>Mysterio
The only problem with him, is that he could have being useful ally in the past and in the future, but will do nothing when aliens rape the Earth
>stupid shit like the Slitheen anymore
that's it TAKE OFF THAT FUCKING TRIP. TAKE IT OFF
That's a weird way to phrase it but as long as he makes her happy you should support their relationship.
I really really thought the Slitheen two parter wasn't that bad. Then I watched it again a few weeks ago and found out that actually yes, it was that bad.
Anyone else think Waters Of Mars would have been better as a Ninth Doctor episode? By the time Waters Of Mars happens for 10 Gallifrey/TimeLods have been gone for years, so I didn't get why he suddenly decided to break the rules.
Felt like something Nine would have done since he used The Moment only a few years at most prior.
Like imagine instead of Dalek its Waters Of Mars.
Cashing in on capeshit honestly.
It's definitely the worst of Series 1 imo.
kys
Take away that gimmicky nonsense at the end and it'd make a great season five episode.
Troughton season five, not Diet-Troughton season five.
Waters would be a kino 7, 8 or 9 story.
He knew he was going to die soon and got triggered.
Is it really cashing in? It's not like they stood to make any extra money specifically because it's superhero themed. Did they do it because superheroes are relevant in current pop culture? sure. Was it a cash grab/selling out? not at all.
The humor is what kills it. "Would you mind not farting while i'm saving the earth" Is pretty funny desu. That's it though, stuff like "I need to be naked" etc are just bad.
I'd say Bad Wolf (not Parting of the Ways, just Bad Wolf) has also aged terribly. There's a few good jokes in there, but the idea of doing a parody of Big Brother and the Weakest Link just feels like it doesn't belong in the show, especially in the finale two-parter. That said, it probably beats the Slitheen because the ending is pretty good.
go away
>By the time Waters Of Mars happens for 10 Gallifrey/TimeLods have been gone for years, so I didn't get why he suddenly decided to break the rules.
But that's precisely it. It takes him a long while to lose grip on his former morality and realise that he now has total freedom.
>Felt like something Nine would have done since he used The Moment only a few years at most prior.
Now this misunderstands Nine's character. He's the way he is in S1 because he was so horrified by what he'd JUST done. Remember "Coward, any day"?
kys you too
It's not aged well but Bad Wolf is far better structurally than AoL/WW3
Most things are better structured than America Online.
>doing a parody of Big Brother and the Weakest Link just feels like it doesn't belong in the show
Why not? Who's been doing social commentary for years, at least since the 7th doctor. Since the second serial, if you want to use Skaro being a planet destroyed by nuclear war as social commentary
I think it's more to do with the fact that they're not popular shows anymore. Weakest Link got cancelled years ago so it doesn't really make sense why they'd be so prominent in the year 5-whatever
Social commentary is one thing but doing it through instantly dated cultural references is a problem.
Varos has aged much better and Varos is decades older.
why say do age golden? most eps pretty skippable like the one with where doctor beats bad dudes. yeah? am alone here?
>the one with where doctor beats bad dudes
Dude, his speedrun of Bad Dudes is anything but skippable. It defined the era, it's pretty integral to the overall experience.
