No we don't. It's a turkey that relies too much on being a BB prequel while not doing anything interesting if it's own. It was supposed to be a show set before, during and after the events of BB but so far they've squandered the opportunity granted to them by spinning their wheels towards cancellation

I don't necessarily think there's been enough BCS to say which one is better yet. Thematically, they're two very different shows, and both are excellent television. The fact that a spinoff / prequel of another highly successful and acclaimed show is as good as BCS is shows how talented the writers are.

I'm re-watching BB right now. I'd consider it a better show overall than BCS, but I would reserve judgement until BCS is over and finished, because I really love what BCS did the past three seasons, the story of Jimmy and Chuck was excellent and I'm sad Chuck is dead and gone, he was a great character and well acted.

Re-watching BB though, Jesse is a weak character. I don't understand why anyone likes him or feels sorry for him. Everything Jesse does is his own fault. Yes, Walt bears some responsibility, but Jesse chooses to fuck up every chance he gets. He is responsible for Jane. Yes, Walt watched her die, but Jesse put her in that situation. Jesse choose to fuck with Gus even after everything Walt did to get Jesse a job in the lab and protect him. Jesse led Hank right to Walt all because he is such a dumb, stupid fuck. Yet everyone whines about how Walt manipulated him or w/e.

I actually really liked season 1 and with the finale of Jimmy bailing on the job offer and telling Hank he'd made a mistake by trying to be honest I was interested to see where season 2 went.

Then it immediately retconned that for no reason and have gone nowhere with the show since. I guarantee there'll either be a Walt or a Jesse cameo in the final episode. That's just the kind of show it is.

Just look at them on their own merits up to their respective 3rd seasons. BB had people wanting more and BCS has been cancelled due to lack of interest despite starting with crazy high ratings and filling the void left in BB's absence.

BCS has left me wanting much more. BB was a cultural pheonomenon. It's stupid to compare the success of BB to BCS, which hasn't managed to gain a cult following. Viewership doesn't determine the quality of a show. Season 3 of BCS has had the best episodes of the entire show up until now, and the best performances. It's a slow burn show, and it's a lot slower than BB which might turn off some viewers, but it's still a high quality, well acted and well written tv series.

What is bcs even about? If feels like nothing happens on it. Just a whole bunch of talking and drawn out scenes.

You should stick to Marvel movies then, by all means they deliver all the pointless action that you're clearly clamoring for.

There's "slow burn" then there's the kind of "slow burn" where 3 years into the show the creator admits he doesn't have any idea where the series is going and people are starting to wonder why they're bothering to watch anymore.

Not killing the brother off when he fell & bashed his head on the counter in season only to drag his shit out for another year before killing him anyway is a big red flashing light of a meandering show.

Right now it IS better than BB. The ending could change that.

It still bugs me that Jimmy forgot to turn off his microphone headset while he was shitting on the old people at Sandpiper Crossing. He is typically super careful with his schemes so it seemed really out of character. Maybe it was trying to illustrate that he's growing more flustered and is getting careless as a result? Maybe they will expound on this in the next season.

Why do you think they made Mike such a main character of the show? His story was basically spent after season 1 but they kept going with him because it was an excuse to have ACTION!!!! in a show which otherwise would've and should've been about the exploits of a dodgy lawyer.

BCS made a stuffy legal battle more interesting and gripping than life and death struggles in a drug war. In BCS you care about everything. In BB, you only care about Walt, Jesse and the drugs. You don't care about Walt's retarded family. You don't care about fat fuck's retarded wife and her being a klepto. Anything outside the central premise is complete garbage. And with the central premise, drug manufacturing, you only care because the stakes are extremely high with death/imprisonment.

The fact that Vince Gilligan can squeeze such emotion and drama out of such low stakes like legal disbarment speaks volumes how far he's come. BB was Gilligan honing his craft but BCS will be his magnum opus.

If you like BB but not BCS, you probably have shit taste and like BB for shit reasons (le cool drug dealers and cartel scenes, le epic badass eisenburg i am the one who knocks xd).

It's chill as fuck and has some really good drama and character interaction.
