Simpsons has declined so far the old bad episodes are good in comparison. S12-14 to be exact.

Funnily enough, that was the last full episode I' ever saw of the Simpsons, because it was like watching a corpse being paraded around. I remember my family sitting in silence through the whole thing. My dad and I would flash faces at each other during the awful gags and terrible references. Literally nothing about it was good.

Season 9 has the first "bad" episode The Principal and the Pauper but it honestly doesn't become irredeemable until 12 or 13.

Season 8 is where the cracks start to show but it's still a classic season. People hate on the Tamzarian episode a lot but season 9 is still great. 10 is good but that's when it starts to feel different.
