I've watched Excalibur four times this week. Every time it's impact seems more powerful. I don't know if there's any other movie as truly epic and emotionally resonant. Just want more people to talk about Excalibur.

yeah its a p good movie.

Zardoz was better

Thanks, dog.

Most normies don't get Excalibur.

It's a little campy. It's a little bit over the top. It's a little bit hammed up. So people think it's an inept comedy or something.

What people don't get is that you can find bits and pieces of his movie really amusing, various lines by Arthur and Merlin funny, but also take the whole movie balls to the wall seriously.

I could never watch this movie with in a modern movie theater because there's going to be a bunch of neckbeard faggots laughing at all the dramatic moments and fucking ruining it.

A lot of 80's movies had this "Silly and amusing yet totally serious" thing going on.

I miss that.

The best thing about this movie is the poster, everything after that is mediocre as fuck.

Guards! Knights! Squires! Prepare to fuck this guy with a morning star.

wtf are you talking about? the cinematography was amazing all the way through.

Daily reminder this Verhoven / Schwarzenegger sword kino never got made.

I just know it would of been glorious.

What the fuck are you talking about.

favorite scene above. I love how the camera lingers on guinever after Arthur walks out. To me her expression runs sad bc Arthur’s dream is that he and Guinever will be together in the after life, but it’s safe to assume her dream is to be with Lancelot in the afterlife.

Arthur is simultaneously cuck and chad, deep shit.

you are responding to peak art, as human achievement. it is so utterly alien since its completely untainted by jewish cultural marxism.

we got Verhoeven / Hauer kino at least

What is the secret of the Grail?

>Silly and amusing yet totally serious
Because they were honest filmmaking.

>That part where Lancelot runs away naked

That fucking Siegfried's Funeral March when Perceval returns Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. Goosebumps, man. Every time.

The movie matures with the protagonist, it's a simple but effective idea.

GUARDS! KNIGHTS! SQUIRES!

fuckin golden knight messed so bad with my head as a kid. fantastic, imaginative cinema

saw flesh and blood for the first time last year.

found it hard to watch TBPH, could not believe the director and production crews next project was robocop
