The animation is super-fluid which I appreciate and it's great at facial expressions. Characters and plots are rather basic, fight scenes are just ok, most of the gags are light-laugh worthy but I do wish there were big laughs. It's a bit heavy on anime influence but it's nowhere near as heavy-handed as Steven Universe

as somebody who's never watched anime it's okay. It's nice to have a lighthearted, fun show - unlike Clarence and WBB it embraces being unrealistic and goofy. Its sense of humour is also a little more innocent than Gumball, which I appreciate.

K.O. to me is a genuinely likable character. He reminds me a lot of Kid Goku, but without his total dominance. Innocence, positivity, resilience, all almost to the point of naivete. The only time he's thrown me off is when he's literally so sheltered he doesn't know what a joke is, I mean seriously?
I've honestly grown weary of snarky kid characters. It was funny in the late 90's when they were making quips and cracking jokes way above their age range but now it just seems like those types are written as jaded or mean-spirited.

I have this odd habit of severe second-hand embarassment when watching cartoons, so bad I turn off what I'm watching until it's over if I'm watching live TV, or I fast forward.
It happens to me a lot watching cartoons, but doesn't happen as often with this one. Even in awkward situations I can be comfortable with it.

Why are the faces so good? There's a moment when KO's mom is fighting this giant lizard and when they beat each other up and KO delivers the most perfect sounding "mommy!" with just a fucking hilarious face. It cracked me up and unfortunately I don't remember the episode but i had to rewind it a few times that moment was so goddamn funny.
