I eat a whole range of things, but full English for morning and mixed grill at night is my style.

By choice I'd drink blonde or red ale.
I drink mostly Kronenberg, which to some, isn't popular. Irn Bru is also nice.

Anglo Saxons in America are a minority group.
In Canada, a lot of Nova Scotia is dominated by different ethnic groups; there's Germans in Lunenberg, Celts in Cape Breton, French in Digby and around that area. The town I live in is mostly English though, so I can only speak on behalf of my community. We have many Smiths, Nickersons, Atkinsons, etc; a very English town. And not far from where I live, there's a town, Shelburne, and there's a Union jack flying above every other house, so I assume they are English too.

Anglo is an ethnic group; a group of people who are largely of Anglo Saxon heritage. Indians do NOT qualify, because even if they practiced some of the same anglo cultural rituals, they could more easily identify as "Hindi" or "Poo in loo" more than the English. In America, the Irish have dominated the English, but still carry on English culture and English identity, much like how Mestizos are carrying on a Spanish ethnic identity.

When people say Anglo, they mean Anglo Culture. I livebin England an am 100% English.

People say Anglo-Saxon when referring to ethnicity, or English. Only Anglo-Saxons really call themselves Wnglish here because it's conaidered racist to use rgat term, hence why you hear people say British more.

If your community was English, they'd fly the St . George's Cross, not the Jack. Jack is Scots, Irish and Welsh too, who are not Anglo-Saxons. And they aren't English if thwy were Born in Canada. Basically the equivalent of a Plastic Paddy.

Even if you are Anglo-Saxon, you'll never have the true Anglo Culture. Sure you use English Comkon law and Protestantism, but that's just on thw whole, you are dominated by the Canadian sub-culture.

Anglo is an identity, a class, not a clade.
Most Americans can say that practice a fair amount of English traditions, but most of them don't identify as English or Anglo. I've lived in the states; I know this first hand.

In Canada, it's very similar, except there's a lot of ethnic division. Anglo Saxons still retain English culture; celts still retain Celtic culture, etc. Maybe not out west though; anything west or south of Quebec is all Americanized, but they still practice a fair amount of Anglo culture.

When i say "English" what I mean is historically English heritage and culture. Your English isn't the same as my English. You're a New Englishman, completely influenced by the British monarchy in every way possible, including your non-rhotic accent. English Canadians are a product of English colonialism; the Union jack of Shelburne is an older variation without the Irish cross. Your "English" is more British than my English, but it's still "English" regardless. And whether you think we have a "Canadian subculture" is completely up for debate, but I was born and raised on and English island, knowing the rest of Canada through certain holidays (because most of us just got telvision just recently).

Yes, Canada does have a sub culture. Like America has French culture in Mississippi and German Culture in Penslyvania, it is domianted and unified by the Anglo culture, they call themselves American (Anglo) despite being ruled by a different culture.. The same is with Canada. As with you, you Speak Canadian English and not English, you have your own parliament, your own laws, your own people, your own system... your own and seperate culture.
