Anyone know of any good classic/obscure adventure movies?

I'm looking for recommendations, similar to Indiana Jones. Preferably set in foreign locations, like in Egypt.

King Solomon's Mines (1985)

Can't go wrong with The Jewel of the Nile.
Adventure kino at it's best.

Jewel of the Nile is meh. You know it was a sequel right? The first was Romancing the Stone. It's more well rounded and solid. Jewel was more of a money grab flick.

...

Already sorta have these on my list. I need some deeper cuts.

>Gunga Din
>The Man Who Would Be King
>The Wind and the Lion
>Armor of God
>Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

some more but slightly on the sentimental side:
>L'Atlantide
>She
>The African Queen

Sorceror (1977)

this movie shaped mummy's image
Karloff was 1st, but this one made mummy.

King Solomons Mines

Allan Quartermain & The Lost City of Gold

It's been stated many times but The Treasure of Sierra Madre is a perfect film.

Lawrence of Arabia?

It's in the wartime adventure AKA a 'Men On A Mission' movie but it's a great one.

Mountains of the Moon
The Lost City of Z
The Ghost And the Darkness

I'd put this at the top of that genre, followed by Kelly's Heroes, the Dirty Dozen, Where Eagles Dare, The Eagle Has Landed, and Force 10 from Navarone

This movie really needs a good restoration because it's a overlooked gem. Pretty violent stuff for the time, as well.

And yes, all the shit in the poster actually happens in the movie.

This is reasonably well known on Sup Forums but not in the real world.
Good movie, has a sequel too.

The first two are better. I assume the 50's version is on their list but the 30's version isn't as well known.

I'll throw in Legend Of The Lost since it's got a lot of the same plot elements.

kangaroo jack

this and Legends of The Hidden Temple
