critics are useless retarded worms but this movie sucked tbqh
I heard Rian Johnson had a hand in it. So I'm guessing it's bad.
Honestly wondering what's going on. It was a 7/10 at minimum.
This. Far from perfect but far from bad.
>I heard Rian Johnson had a hand in it.
Shouldn't the critics be liking it then?
>Berlin. Forty years from today. Leo Beiler, a mute bartender, searches for his missing girlfriend, Naadirah, in the rolling city of immigrants
As a german i refuse to see this
do you know it's fantasy right?
can you tell the difference between fantasy and reality?
it's a very, very convincing prediction of how the future is going to look. total shithole.
Surprisingly mono-cultured for a nation of immigrants
Your taste is shit. You're probably one to view anything that entertains your tiny brain as worthwhile, ignoring the substance of the film itself.
Are you fucking retarded?
This was, at the most generous possible, a 3/10. It was aboslute fucking dog shit.
the connections to moon felt very forced
>You're probably one to view anything that entertains your tiny brain as worthwhile
I'm such person and yet I disliked Mute. Terrible story structure, bizzare editing choices, contrived plot elements, number of unnecessary characters and scenes.
Plus retroactively detracts from Moon by means of the reddit TV scene with multiple Rockwells, should've kept the references limited to wall graffitis.
I'm guessing Netflix is going to stop funding these big budget movies. They've all been complete trash and have been a hit to their reputation which is already falling.
>implying Nordic male / Persian female isn't literally the perfect Aryan union.
>a few autistic kids didn't like the movie so they need to stop making movies
Lolno. Netflix will up their charge to $15 a month within the next six months, “in order to bring you more quality content”
He just greenlit a comic-based action film with Mads as a retired assasin hunted by the generation of younger ones.
this movie sucked, dude
get real
it was, for lack of a better word, boring
>a few autistic kids
Yeah everyone else is just raving about it. Hi, Duncan.
wait a second that walk
Another winner.
Its just clickbait. The only way critics can get traffic without pre-release access is with negative reviews. Critics are irrelevant to netflix's model.
Is that Nicholas Wingding-Referee’s next movie
What’s this from?
Try posting some criticism that dosen't sound like it comes from a 12 year old.
>clothing is all neutral colored
>wears running shoes
>only wears black coats
They might as well use my face in that photo for how perfectly they nailed me.
“Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember ~ the only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite out of you.”
What movie is this?
And you know this is them normazlizing this shit right? In 20 years there could be movies made about how Hitler was trying to genocide all the "native" Muslims to make Germany an all Aryan state.
it was boring
boring boring boring boring boring boring boooooooooriiiiiiiiiiing
Hello Mickey
why this movie needed to be cyberpunk again?
>this is your brain on Sup Forums
you that you thought it was interesting and good
it was a distraction
they didnt even utilize that setting at all
what a bait and switch
...
Actually something I find interesting about it. It's not science fiction, it's just a story set in the future.
OBSESSED
>you that you
so that you*
Is this Altered Carbon?
SEETHING
It's worse, and that should tell you something.
Duncan himself is here. The legend.
>Blaming the enemy of what you're guilty of
Alinisky pls go
lol its gonna be like that soon. thats the EU lefty view of the future
because le cyberpunk is sooo cool, only watched it for that desu
Considering they have the actual viewership data, why would they do that?
That's like thinking angry feminists are going to stop the production of porn.
What is it then?
It's not worth it for a pile of shit this retarded.
>no u seebing
SEETHING
Is this the final nail that will stop Hollywood from producing any sci-fi stuff for the foreseeable future?
this.
If anything it fails to deliver on the merit that it's been hyped up for so long and then we get this
FUCKING UNIRONICALLY THIS
if it wasn't for the cyberpunk setting i wouldn't have been interested in the movie
half of the people who watched it wouldn't be interested on it.
The Mute, new flick on Netflix from the guy that gave David Bowie cancer.
>Still projecting this hard
Go back to leftypol or whatever shithole you crawled out of
>i no mad u mad
SEETHING
Cactus did nothing wrong. Also, he shoud've been the main character with no mute bartneder.
dae Mute is an underrated gem
Yeah, that's the first time Netflix ever pulled this trick
Was it really necessary to do all that contrived set-up for the Amish travelling to Germany, so that they can have a mute guy in the future?
Could've just put some throwaway line that the damage to his vocal cords was so severe that even new technology couldn't help.
I mean, yes, the amish stuff also allowed for the woodcarving stuff, but they didn't even show him wreck the bruiser in the pink shirt with it, so what's the point.
And the final scene with the wooden balls he gave to the girl, could've been replaced with him giving her his pencil, so she could draw. And she wouldn't have a pencil at that point, because he used it to jam it into Theroux's slimey face during final fight, which would've also been better than the bridge fall embarassment.
Now that I thin kabout it the whole movie is full of "would've been better if" moments.
this gained attention only because it had "cloverfield" in the title
the actors, director, setting, etc don't matter
That movie had no chance. I've read the original script before all the Cloverfield-addition meddling and it was just as bad.
>from the guy that gave David Bowie cancer
Wait, how is Jones related to Bowie besides being his kid?
It was not until Rotten Tomatoes that people started to pretend that movie critics and reviews were the be-all-end-all of cinema. People act like they have good taste in movies because they won't watch anything with less than 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's laughable to think your opinion is worth a shit if it's exactly the same as everyone else who has submitted to being programmed by the Rotten Tomatoes cult.
The Last Jedi is hopefully a turning point. Even with all the money Black Panther is making, everyone (aside from the BLM types) who comes out of that movie is saying "It was good but not definitely not a 98." Reading the hilariously overwrought review snippets for Black Panther has itself become a meme. According to Rotten Tomatoes (and the reviews therein) this movie is better and more important than The Godfather.
When Solo gets a 100% fresh pre-release rating hopefully that's the end of it. It might not be but I think 2018 is the year where Rotten Tomatoes' influence over movies starts to crumble. It's all a scam run by Fandango to sell more movie tickets anyway.
I got you senpai
>phoned in performances from what should of been a good cast
>weak soundtrack
>netflix tier cgi
>wish wash script with no substance other than muh overcoming adversity
>126minute runtime with no pay off
>another generic netflix original
at what point everything went so wrong?
are we pretending this is "kino" now because the critics didn't like it?
>we
don't put me in the same bag with you faggot
Wasn’t it substantially more interesting though? I just remember two different crews on two stations interacting, but it’s been a while.
>Fandango
i really hope this business is destroyed, utter garbage
I'll put you in whatever bag I want nigger
>126minute runtime with no pay off
Pretty fucking baffling
Oh my fucking god how will I ever afford such a rate hike!
Sup Forums is all one big bag faggot
It was a typical mindless blockbuster about Murricans fighting evil Europeans.
The only interesting ideas in the movie were the potenital of them destroying Earth and being stranded on a ship amidst boundless darkness of space and the space horror because of them tearing a hole in the universe. But then it turns out that Earth is okay and no space horror stuff materialises. It just turns to an action film.
Oh, and yes, it did however have a based Mexican operator character who had the potential to be called /ourguy/ around here if the original screenplay was put to film.
Good heavens
Social media and virtue / taste signalling. Everyone thinks their friends are judging their worth as a human being based on what movies they watch, so they have to make sure that they vocally love all of the "acceptable" movies and hate all the "bad" movies.
don't do that again
reminder
>germany being a rolling city of immigrants is a fantasy 40 years from now
but its a fact right now?
You can solve the central "mystery" about 30 minutes into the film. The detective noir portion with Leo clashes with the wacky comedic portion with Cactus, this tonal clash and constant intercutting between two plots were the most irritating thing. The whole pedophilia subplot was handled in a very weird way. Cactus attacks Duck but 10 seconds later they go for a beer. Also the last 20 minutes. What was that about? Music was also very weak, the worst score by Cliff i have heard.
>movies are going through their worst period ever
maybe?
I needed to read this a couple of times. Is the implication here that conservatives don't care about people..?
what a tricky kike
making a viewer care and caring yourself are separate matters
the final sentence tells the full story: if you are not a liberal, I will blackball you
yes. if you read his comments to this tweet he struggles with admitting that clint eastwood is a good filmmaker. that would be hilarious here (or in real life), but in twatter echo chamber it turns into a nightmare of some paranoid lunatic.
t. hasn't seen the movie
The guy's an Amish living in a cyberpunk setting refusing tech. The city is full of expatriots, US soldiers and brits so stop your impotent whining, you white nigger
Retard
>ruining games
>ruining movies
Whats next? Since 80% of internet 'critics' and tabloids are virtue signalling pseudo-intellectual tools, they control the online narrative what makes a good movie/videogame score and filmmakers will follow suit.
nah, The Irishmen will be ok, and then the "NETFLIX IS CHANGING THE GAME" army will spam everywhere. I'm predicting they will have one good movie for every seven they produce.
Does Beasts of No Nation count as a "Netflix movie" or no cause they just bought it.
Well they tend not to.
>The Irishmen
Looking forward to this desu
>the virgin mute
>the chad cactus
I would say no, they bought annhiliation and cloverfield paradox too. Really its
>Okja
>Mute
>Bright
>the Bradpitt army movie
Are you serious? All political views care about people. It's literally the basis of political opinions. That they care about others.
Politics, in it's purest form, is how to make life better for people.
To be fair if you are a radical reactionary almost everything you see published must look like 'virtue signalling' to you
This is the other end of the spectrum, but yes true. Its hard to find the middle ground sometimes.
But what if you're not aware of this crazy fad and just take what you read online as educated opinions? We all know they're far from that.
