Is there a single funny intro to Seinfeld?

Every one of Jerry's standup bits in the beginning of each episode just seems like an appeal to it being found relatable, rather than actually humorous.

No, Jewey (((Seinfeld))) isn't funny

reddit is thataway

Look mom I posted it again!

Yet Jewey Newman manages to be funny every episode

>but George!

>>/reddit/

Look mom I posted SNEED again!

It's just not humorous

youtube.com/watch?v=2ZGu5GJlfls

>when men here a drill it's like a dog whistle
>construction workers have fences to stop men from watching them

none of this is fun

Take your meds

Jerry Seinfeld isn't funny, luckily Larry David sorta knew this and is funny.

Also Seinfeld is the great sitcom of all time because it didn't date itself with pop culture references and instead explored its characters (very relatable and also timeless) neurosis and idiosyncracies.

take yours

I'd find it funny how bad Jerry is at comedy if he wasn't a celebrity

The show's good, but Jerry's shilling for his shitty stand up at the beginning of each episode is bothersome

nah it does date itself a lot
>moviefone
>caller IDs being a big deal
>answering machines being a big deal
>home phones in general
>COTTON DOCKERS

>tech changes

Also old technology is still well known

The bit making fun of suicide was funny

Post this

it still dates itself

we're not talking telegrams but you claimed it doesnt date itself at all and thats just false.

Also i bet anyone under 21 doesnt know what the fuck moviefone is

youtube.com/watch?v=2gPJpzgPReE

>we're not talking telegrams but you claimed it doesnt date itself at all and thats just false.

That wasn't me, mate

>Also i bet anyone under 21 doesnt know what the fuck moviefone is

That's just called calling the cinema

>a single funny segment

A comedic genius, Jerry Seinfeld truly is

Also, was this bitch only in Seinfeld so they can include awkward things that happen to women?

Or is her being a snarky, unforgiving person supposed to be relatable?

(checked)

forgot to include the image

No u

>Seinfeld is not funny

Have you not used the internet? There's essays written about why this is.

Jewish nepotism

Also that's how Jewish women actually are

>>COTTON DOCKERS
Still wear them, they are timeless unlike your baggy dad jeans

I thought you meant the show first, not Jerry.

>Also that's how Jewish women actually are

Could Larry David have thought that Jewish women are the same as normal women?

Jewish women are terrible, white women are nice mummy-tier.

someone post it please

Hey, what's the deal with airline food?

SHE'S A ROASTIE JERRY

>HE'S A NIGGER, JERRY
Why did they let Michael Richards direct?

funny thing is that Seinfeld never told a joke about airline food.

All of le upboats for the well constructed controversial opinion m'goodsir. If only I had gold to gild thee with, but alas the tippest of hats to you

And there's no possible way they could use their common sense to make an assumption as to what moviefone is based on the context in which it's presented in the show...

>Pic related. That's you that is

>just seems like an appeal to it being found relatable, rather than actually humorous.
What a great summary of american standup

>controversial opinion

how is it controversial?

They make plenty of jokes about Jerry's act in the show

It's like I'm really back on reddit, thanks m'user

>making it about the US for no reason

ok brexit lmao

>>making it about the US for no reason

>show is based in the US
>jerry is a US comedian
>no reason

ok tea party lmao

show is based in jew york
and jerry is a jew

think again, grandpa

I kind of liked the one about about skydiving helmets using skydivers as protection.
Also, the observation that like flipping channels because more because men evolved as hunters.
Most don't hold up at all under sort of scrutiny but that doesn't make them any less funny in the moment.
Oh and major props to the guy for always writing new material rather than just perfecting the same old tired act.

Date itself with pop culture references you illiterate retard

People older than children would have heard about things from the media

just skip them

also the faggy sheldon kid has adhd or something

youtu.be/c7W5x9ZHOXU

This one is pretty good

>Boy acts like a boy
>must have ADHD
Americans, please go.

>his first appearance on national tv
>celebrity

is it really that hard to tell your child not to interrupt?

Whats the deal with black people theyre not black and tbeyre not people xoxo

Jerry’s funny. Deal with it.

>is it really that hard to tell your child not to interrupt without diagnosing and drugging them?
For Americans, apparently.

that's the joke

REEEE 4 EPISODES HAD PEOPLE USE A PHONE REEEEE

I wanna watch Curb with a girl I know who likes Seinfeld but I feel like the lack of laugh track and the fact it's a comedy for the thinking man might make her bored and not understand it

No, is fun coz tru.

Its supposed to set the scene for the episode
Also the bar for stand up in the late 80s was staggeringly low, and the demand was at an all time high.

The stand up did suck dick, but its what people wanted at the time.

Ah, the classic "larry david" was the true funny guy. Good try.

What's a funnier show, comedians in cars getting coffee or Curb your Enthusiasm?

Coffee is way more entertaining

>answering machines being a big deal
The humor comes from antics related to the messages and the answering machine. Also, George being an autist.
>home phones in general
When people say shit is dated they're referring to shitty pop culture crap like just about anything in a new south park episode. Everyone understands the concept of a home telephone.

She has some good moments, and her chemistry with the rest of the crew is on point.

Not what I asked ya fucking dweeb

of course it's more entertaining to have some of the most famous and funniest people on the planet on your show, but which is FUNNIER

What's wrong with you? That first bit is great

Coffee has too many filler episodes though, with comedians that can't make good joke or can't think on the spot. Fred Armisen comes to mind, the little faggot. Now I only know him from bit parts in his friends shows and SNL, but I don't think he said a single funny thing.
That said, coffee has some super great episodes that I love to rewatch.

>of course it's more entertaining to have some of the most famous and funniest people on the planet on your show,

>as opposed to larry david with just no name C list actors in curb

Irony

How is it great? There's nothing humorous in it.

Pro-tip: the standup intros weren't meant to be laugh out loud funny, they were his observations that came from real life experiences that were shown in the subsequent 30 minutes. The intro monologues become funnier after watching how he got to the joke.

>curb
>comedy for the thinking man

>stand up not meant to be laugh out loud funny

The only funny part was when that tall guy was talking about hanging niggers, but even that was only meh.

2/10 show would not recommend

Because it wasn't his actual standup. Much like how Nathan for You is cringeworthy humor but his actual standup specials are different

Jerry's standup is really traditional, not outstanding, but decent enough. Everything you see in the show is meant to frame the events of the episode, it's not the main draw.

I liked the bit about halloween candy

>funnier after watching how he got to the joke.

the problem is that there there isn't a joke

Standup is still meant to be humorous. You're left wondering how Jerry remains employed with his shitty standup jokes.

>Standup is still meant to be humorous.
What you see in the show isn't his real standup, they're like 20 second clips that reference shit that happens in the episode.

I like the bit about how men just like to stand around and watch other men work.

It adds realism if there's actually a joke in it.

That's the plot of king of the hill, not a joke

>It adds realism if there's actually a joke in it.
And if you didn't have autism this thread wouldn't exist. Go watch his real standup. The shit you see on the show is just used for framing.

Actually, even Coffee relies on him being around other, funnier people. The only thing he can take credit for is his stand-up, and it sucks. And yet he is the most smug person on the planet. Hmm

Post an enjoyable standup video then

The standup was fine, just not nearly as funny as the actual show. Probably funnier if you were drunk like you would be watching it in person.

I think the intro is supposed to not be funny. If it was funny, it would throw off the comedic pacing of the show.

He's not the celebrity you dumbass.

oh. well sorry

You didn't notice that they are all assholes?

Newman only ever gets as bad as Kramer or Jerry are to him.

The other characters are also written to be actually humorous.

Right. Because the show is not funny too.

I like the show but sometimes it gets very one note. Larry is the center of attention all the time, other characters aren't that developed or just play the straight man to his crazy, neurotic.

what would Seinfeld be like if it were around today ?

how is kramer an asshole

He's an arsehole to Newman sometimes. Don't you remember the risk episode?

>coming to Sup Forums to shit on Seinfeld

Nigga you're in the wrong place.

Elaine dates a man for his courage and resolve in spouting liberal talking points after living though a crisis, finds out he was paid to do so.

"He's only ever telling you whatever you want to hear!"
"I'm not seeing the problem, Jerry."
