farm to table type stuff. fresh meat, seafood, seasonal veggies. just rural farm fare but cooked competently...i could cook you a "gourmet" meal for under 30 buck in 20 minutes...fresh baguette, tri tip grilled rare, roasted apargus with olive oil, black pepper and sea salt. maybe a bit of parmesean cheese on top. easy peezy. any brain dead bachelor can cook well.

The united states is too large to have one cuisine. China has different regions with very different cooking styles, tastes, and ingredient choices. The USA is larger than china, and naturally has a variety of cuisine. In my experience most fine dining in the united states is french, italian, and fusion in that order.

I had this burger in Bishop, CA. Every single part of it was locally farmed. The grain for the bun was grown and milled there. The beef was from local steers, cheese from local cows.

Best burger I've ever had and I'm seriously considering making the five hour drive tomorrow just to get another one.
