I only watched cmbyn and get out, so for that reaon, hopefully one of these two movies since I like both

>Three Billboards 8/10 (McDonaugh's first two films were both better)
>Dunkirk 7/10
>Get Out 7/10

My favourite film of last year was The Killing of a Sacred Deer, which was a 8.5/10

Dunkirk was okay but probably won't win anything
Ladybird was shit but it'll win something

seen them all, the only ones I liked were Call Me, Phantom and Dunkirk. None have a fucking chance but that’s okay bc look at what wins 90% of the time

I've seen six so far. Waiting for Shape of Water and Call me by Your Name blu rays to rip before the show. Hope to see Phantom Thread next Saturday.

>Ranking
Dunkirk
Lady Bird
Get Out
Three Billboards
Darkest Hour
The Post

Saw Lady Bird, Dunkirk and 3 Billboards.

Planning on watching CMBYN, Get Out and Darkest Hour over the next week.

Wouldn't mind either of the three I watched so far winning, but I liked Lady Bird the most by a hair.

Seen em all. 1)CMBYN and 2) Phantom Thread. Have a bad feeling Shape of Water will take home BP. Good movie but not understanding all the over hyping it at all.

darkest hour was fucking terrible

Of the nominees ive only seen Dunkirk, thre bilboards and darkest hour. Which other movies do u guys recommend, want to watch one of them tonight.

I only saw Dunkirk and Shape of Water. Both were very good, the latter is probably more likely to win

I saw Dunkirk. Might see ladybird and phantom thread. The others seem like bad memeflicks

Call Me by Your Name and Phantom Thread. If you live in a major American city you can probably still find both in theaters.

Phantom Thread is /ourfilm/ but be warned that it's pretty slow. You'll like TBOEM if you liked In Bruges

>The Post is getting slaughtered in the poll

Brilliant. Thank god that entirely safe, middle of the road movie isn't getting any love.

>Get Out
Good
>Three Billboards
Utter shit

If Dunkirk doesn't win, then we riot.

Many, many Academy members only watch the screeners. This will really hurt Dunkirk.

Why aren't they releasing screeners for Dunkirk?

Seen them all.
Phantom Thread is probably the best
Darkest Hour
Three Billboards
Get Out
Ladybird
Call Me By Your Name
POWER GAP
The Post
The Shape of Water
Dunkirk

>supporting Christopher BRAVO Nolan
Memesters pls

They released a Dunkirk screener.

Seen them all it is the worst year in Oscar history since the 70's. Last good year was 2015. Just downhill since this decade began and now all movies suck ass.

The fact that it only got 2 nominations says a lot. Just a token nomination for the sake of propaganda.

>worst year in Oscar history since the 70's
Nice bait. The 70s were fucking firing in all cylinders when it came to the nominees. Have you seen every one of the nominees?

CMBYN>Dunkirk>The Shape of Water
Plan to watch Phantom, the others don't interest me. Maybe Lady Bird but I feel like I'd cringe through it all.

Which will not be watched in a movie theater with a brilliant sound system

>not supporting the biggest the silent era in truth

Yes and I have also seen everything the 70's has to offer and they have a lot of turkeys back then most who aged horrible. Then it gets worse as you get farther back but the 80's 90's 2000's had kino every year. 2015 and whiplash was the last kino nominee in my book.

>Then it gets worse as you get farther back
>the 80's 90's 2000's had kino every year
Genetic waste.

LB and GO have to be the two most overrated movies in history. Both are mediocre at best.

I haven't seen Phantom Thread yet (really want to, but it isn't playing here yet). I'd like that to win because based PTA. But out of the movies I've actually watched, Shape of Water and Three Billboards are the best

>people ITT think Blade Runner was snubbed
>>>reddit

haha yeah The Post is the best film of 2017 and the black comedian Jordan Peele is the current best film director on par with PTA, Del Toro and Nolan haha am I rite

they're both substantially better than Dunkirk, The Post and The Shape of Water

tbf he's on par with Nolan

>they're both substantially better than Dunkirk
Absolutely ridiculous
>The Post
Agreed
>and The Shape of Water
Absolutely ridiculous

>pic related

...

>hates all movies from the 80's and 90's
Pretentious fag

Stone is reddit the actress thought

1948 is largely indicative as the death of film. Death of Griffith, Death of Eisenstein, Flaherty's last work, so on. Anything later is post-mortem (the fight against television - Cinerama, color, stereo, vistavision, etc.)

You don't know anything about her, boy.

>1948
>think that was best kino
Lol you are pretentious and retarded faggot.

>kino
