I found it pretty funny and entertaining in a dark comedy sense. But apparently for very religious people it can be genuinely scary. I can see that being the case provided you have a deep childhood memory of scary fairy tales involving satan or witchcraft like the guys shown in the film.

Im not religious but I'm on the edge of my seat each time I watch it. The way it's shot and their accents really immerse me into the world.

Sounds pretentious but it's like I can feal their fear, instead of the movie selling to me my own fears. It's real to them so it's real to me too.
