How has the legalization of weed affected Colorado?
Has it promoted more degeneracy or have people actually used it """medicinally"""

Brought a fuckton of money to their state so there's that.

The most visible effect has been a dramatic increase in traffic.

>Legal marijuana has a $2.4 billion economic impact in Colorado, according to a study by the Marijuana Policy Group. The 24-page report concluded the marijuana industry is the fastest-growing business sector in the state. It’s credited with creating 18,005 jobs in 2015, according to the report.

kdvr.com/2016/10/27/study-marijuana-has-2-4-billion-economic-impact-on-state/

A fuckton of degeneracy.

Go to downtown Denver and you will see about 10 bums per corner on each block.

Fuck Dickinpooper and Hancock. The Cherry Creek Trail is full of heroin addicts shooting up in broad daylight.

Traffic and homeless. Fuck the homeless people here. Nothing but lazy kids who want to smoke weed all day but not have to get a job. I hope they all freeze to death when the snow rolls around.

Also they don't know what has happened to about half of the tax money the state gov gets from weed shops. It's not all going to schools like they're telling you. A lot of it is just going into the system and disappearing.

I live in Colorado. It was a small town, a lot of Mexicans but in general a more conservative area. Now we have tons more beggars and just street people in general. I had never seen a beggar outside of Denver or Boulder before. In upper middle class neighborhoods there's a lot of people who will park their car right in front of your house and sleep. It's "public property" so you can't call the police even if they're 20ft from your door. It's horrible

>homeless

Yeah. I love all the talk about how money will come back to us and we'll see improvements, but no. That's a lie, just like the lie that you smoke in moderation or that you're a totally productive worker who happens to smoke pot. The reality is that Colorado is spending that's money on the homeles problem -- the last people who should be getting that money.

Yeah and lately I've been seeing literal gypsy looking people with their kids begging for money way out in the suburbs. Luckily they get kicked out of the parking lots they are in.

I actually hate dickinpooper more than I hate Obama at this point. Fuck that weaselly little faggot

>Nothing but lazy kids who want to smoke weed all day but not have to get a job. I hope they all freeze to death when the snow rolls around.

Colorado legalized marijuana and these "kids" became homeless as a result, and are now getting money from marijuana taxes? Sounds ironic, sounds funny, almost comic like. Probably because that is far from reality.

Most homeless around here are degenerate old crotchety fucks that need to stay away from our kids and normal people. If that money's going to help get them the fuck away from us, the more the better.

Any evidence that the money is going down the toilet that is the system? That it's fucking disappearing? Any source? Anything at all?

So can you buy weed from a store now? Just like buying cigarettes from a gas station?

>from a store now?

Have you literally never heard of a "marijuana dispensary" in your entire life?

>marrywanna dispensery
Pot shops
That's what they are
They deserve to be shut down

They have a shitload of young homeless men, because 420 blaze it everyday potheads left their states to go live in Colorado, but probably spent all their money getting there and on weed.
So if you legalize weed, you will get a bunch of lowlife 420 dudes begging for money on the street to buy some kush man. Fucking degeneracy at it's finest

I live in cherry hills and one of my neighbors is this autist. We only let blacks in the neighborhood if they're athletes

Yes. In all shape's and sizes.

You hear about what's going on over by cheeseman park? Since they're trying to sweep all the homeless off of the 16th Street mall they're all moving up to the neighborhoods around there. People are waking up to homeless fucking on their front porches, shanty towns in their alleys behind their houses, and heroine needles and used condoms all over their yards.

DPD is useless now too since Hancock and chief white are basically tying their hands with everything

Kill yourself.

I wish NJ would legalize it and use the revenue to repave the roads.

>Has it promoted more degeneracy
grow up

It's been that way dog. Homelessness has always been a big problem in Denver.

You're being dramatic.

Considering the ratio between homeless and successful people, Colorado hasn't been significantly affected.

Things will return to normal when other states open up weed as an option. Just be a little more patient.

It brought us more money, but also brought us a lot of faggots from California and the homeless problem is as bad as it's even been.

My friends sister moved there and now she is looking for people to help farm weed so I might move here from Texas

lots of money, but it has turned Colorado the go to spot for all the degenerates in the country to flock too
if every state had weed the latter wouldn't be a problem

>because 420 blaze it everyday potheads left their states to go live in Colorado, but probably spent all their money getting there and on weed.

This meme is fucking adorable. We've always had a huge homeless problem, marijuana hasn't exactly exacerbated it. Maybe there are a few shitheads that come over here and throw their money away on pot, just like people do with alcohol. Is your point that marijuana and it's users are all bad as a result of those few? I'm not sure what your point is actually, seems all over the place.

Colorado is using the tax revenue from marijuana sales to help the homeless problem, which existed long before your teenage ass paid attention to this state.

>It's been that way dog. Homelessness has always been a big problem in Denver.

Yeah, but it's clearly gotten worse since marijuana legalization. Or at least since Hickinlooper has taken over

This. I saw some junkies shooting up 2 blocks from the city jail in broad daylight. At least creep into a fucking alley or some shit, no one wants to see that. I'd also like to add that some of these beggars can get fairly aggressive. Most people in Colorado just ignore them and pretend they don't exist, but it's tough when they get up in your face begging for a cigarette or money. Personally I have no qualms about telling them to fuck off. I had some skinny 50+ year old junkie start screaming at me when I wouldn't give her a cigarette, and all the liberal ass citizens of denver started looking at me like I was the scum of the earth for not giving in.

Yeah but you need to be 21+ (unless you have a medical card, then it's 18+)
Budtenders are fairly knowledgeable with the products they sell. Most aren't very professional looking though, they're tatted up hipsters for the most part.

Instead they're upping our gas by 23 cents.

Fucking Fat Christie

Taxation is still cuckold thievery even if it comes from marijuana.

another way to get more tax revenue is to tax billionaires and multimillionaires.

Helped the schools so much huh?

Why is there always a mill levy or bond override on every ballot for schools then?

Hmm.. .Really makes you think.

You must not visit denver often. Most the homeless around here are between 18-30. Kids didn't "become" homeless, degenerate kids from all over moved here because they can live on the streets with out a job and smoke weed all day.

I work on the 16th Street mall. If you don't believe me perhaps you should take a stroll down along here sometime soon. Or along the speer road biking path. Or through civic Center park.

As for schools only receiving partial amounts of the Marijuana tax money. Here you go.

google.com/amp/kdvr.com/2016/09/09/colorado-school-districts-only-receive-fraction-of-marijuana-tax-dollars/amp/?client=ms-android-verizon

Denver and all the nice little mountain towns are rife with homeless people now. The homeless dump their trash, drugs and drug peraphernalia , used condoms, sewage/toilet papers, urine and feces on the lawns of private citizens. It's become a nuisance, and it's only getting worse. Funny thing is that Mexican drug cartels are using thr cash only weed dispensary businesses to launder money and intimidate/coerce legal growers into laundering money for them.

Increased degeneracy, but that may or may not be because Colorado is one of a few places to be degenerate without legal consequences. Nationwide legal and regulated pot would almost certainly dilute the economic effects (and hobos) while ravaging the cartels' income

I'm in favor of it, fucking the cartels over is more important than a false sense of non degeneracy - they're still degenerates for wanting to participate in degenerate acts

I was in Denver a couple of months ago.

You're statement is pure hyperbole. I saw 1 pack of homeless people in 1 part of downtown.

Not bad for a large city desu.

If you grow your own, you can avoid getting cucked by taxes for the most part. I bought 2 clones for $30 and set it up in my grow tent. I only got cucked for 6-7 dollars in taxes for that.

AFAIK, Colorado has the lowest obesity rate of all US states

So regardless of a little weed, it's one of the least degenerate states

boulder 4 lyf3

It's fine. It's increased tourism and made billions.
Kids using it, or being CAUGHT with it are down. Minimal DUI for it. You will read in the paper every five months that some parent gave it to kids, but that happened before too.
We have a fuck ton of homeless, but that's not new. Thousands of jobs have been created, and we have a state wide tax surplus.
> funny because locally they voted to have no legal sales, and are facing cut backs for schools and all local government jobs.

Sucks because the state is now swarmed by gayifornia transplants, but that's the worst of it.

Like the other guy said, go to civic center park and you'll see 20+ junkies at any given time. The dealers sell heroin out in the open, cops don't even try to stop them. It's like Hamsterdam if you've ever seen The Wire.

>it's been that way dog

Denver has had a homeless problem, but it has never been anywhere near as bad as it is now. It's beyond out of control now.

>Things will return to normal when other states open up weed as an option. Just be a little more patient.

I really hope you're right about this one. I've been waiting on other states to legalize it to thin out the degeneracy so I hope that does it.

Dude, I live here.

On the 16th street mall, its nothing but homeless people, unless they have an event going on where they kick them out temporarily.

> smoked once or twice before, but not really
> friend gives me weed cookie
> half a cookie
> go on a trip around the fucking rainbow and universe
> heart pimpinge panic attack sets in
> spend next two hrs convinced I'm dying
> start puking it up
> pass out on bathroom floor

Weed, not even once

I work in an office building on 16th st mall, can confirm what this user is saying

>confirmed for being pothead nomad

Say that to anyone who grew up here and they'd laugh in your face

fucking leaf cant handle half a weed
lmao

Downtown has a lot of bums.

>lived all my life here
>there are fellow Coloradians in this thread calling people like you retards for overhyping the homeless problem

You want people to ban marijuana because of niggers who abuse it, is that what you're saying?

You in Republic Plaza by chance? I used to work security there. Thank God most private property owners don't put up with this bullsbit

It's like you didn't even read your "source". It doesn't back up your worthless opinion at all.

>Ctrl+trash

Change it to
>Now Colorado has enough extra to start helping to pay for things like gas chambers for marijuana smokers
And I'll be happy to legalize weed.

15-20 years ago I remember Denver as being a white upper class city. I went there last year and it was full of Mexicans and blacks wtf

That's frightening, there are fatties everywhere here. The memes are true!

Alaska overturned their Marijuana legalization becauae the same problems we are having now. I'm not expecting it to be reversed though because that's very unlikely. I'm saying retards like you not believing there's a problem is why we have such a problem.

The problem isn't over exaggerated. When denver is making national news because of the violence and homeless issues on the mall, in civic Center park, in cheeseman park, along speer and Colfax. How can you honestly say it hasn't changed when all the homeless centers in Denver, which were just barely able to control the issue, are now overflowing. The waiting list to stay 1 night in a shelter has extended to waiting for days instead of hours.

And you want to know how I know you're not from around here?

Housing and urban development. The government literally subsidizes poor minorities into once-valuable neighborhoods. This state is turning to shit fast.

A bunch of people go smoke pot at the most popular overlooks in the National Park I work at. Cause muh nature.

At first we just gave them a warning and told them to leave.

Now we bust them on federal drug charges. Feels good man.

If we legalized weed we could actually afford universal healthcare and things like border walls and free colleges.

I don't understand why Trump is always complaining about Mexico taking factory jobs from Americans when he should be focusing on Mexico taking all the money in the drug trade that could instead be taxed for a massive windfall for the country.

It's because every druggie in the US made an exodus to Colorado. If we'd repeal nationally the homeless wouldn't migrate.

Homeless people will always migrate, and Colorado gave them an incentive when they legalized marijuana. This isn't a reason to overturn legalization, this is a reason to prevent them from coming to your state for pot. It's really simple. Also Alaska hasn't overturned legalization, what are you talking about?

>because they can live on the streets with out a job and smoke weed all day.

You have one state out of 50 that's gaining the most success out of legalization, of course we're getting these kinds of people. But they can't just live off the street and smoke all day, and you can't blame pot itself for it. I'm not for the stripping of American liberties on behalf of homeless or nigger problems in this country. We need to do a better job tackling the homeless problem. The irony is that marijuana tax revenue is helping a bit with the homeless issue.

>Last year, a combination of medical and recreational pot taxes generated about $134 million for Colorado. But that’s just a fraction of the $2.73 billion eight of the largest school districts are seeking from voters in November.

The schools are wasteful and disgusting and want a lot more than the little bit Colorado receives in tax revenue. I'm not surprised we're not throwing money at these money-guzzling whores that is our public education system.

You're so full of shit. Cures cancer, grows brain cells. Potheads. Waste of fucking space.
