Can you be a fascist without being a racist?

Yes. Fascism is about unity of the country, not racial superiority.

most countries are divided along ethnic lines though. So placing high importance on one's country generally mean's placing a high importance on one's ethnicity.

Yes, it's called fascism.

>Italy was multiracial in the 1930s

They didn't have to worry about niggers and spics.

This. We all need our own lands populated with our own people. We can ally with other ethnic groups, but not live together. That destroys diversity and culture.

Racism has nothing to do with fascism.

Your country and mine is not. Plenty of countries are not determined by ethnic area.

>race is a feeling not a reality.
kek Mussolini confirmed for faggot.

Race does not need to be the uniting factor. More important than race is culture. Culture is the means by which society transmits and enforces social norms and values. Multi-ethnicity is not what failed. Multi-culturalism is what has failed.

The original Italian fascism was explicitly non-racist. Mussolini's ambition was to recreate a Roman empire which meant unifying various races under a single nationalist state ideology.

For example after Italia's conquest of Abyssinia Italian soldiers were allowed to race-mix like crazy with local women.

Surely you've seen the threads where people post the results of those mail-in dna tests. Everyone is a mix of various races. They might all be white races but like the quote says, biologically pure races no longer exist.

Yeah we all have a little bit of something else, but that doesn't mean race doesn't fucking exist. That's just stupid fucking thinking.

>Got a drop of mustard in my ketchup! WELP GUESS I DONT HAVE KETCHUP ANYMORE

I mean, I'd be okay with intelligent people of all races living in my country. However, I'd have to take measures so that they do not subvert it.

>spics

There was always spaniards in Italy.
Spain and Italy are literally best friends.

People often confuse the meanings of these terms because they are seeing them used in Europe, where national lines and ethnic lines are often pretty close to the same thing.

Fascism involves nationalism but in a country that's not based on an ethnic group, there's no racist overtones in this. American nationalism would not be racist, for example. Neither would Canadian nationalism. There's not a strong enough "ethnic American" or "ethnic Canadian" concept to make that work.

You get racist nationalism moreso in places like Russia or if, say, France were to do it. In those places, country = ethnic group is a line that can be drawn (well, France of 20 years ago anyway -- not so much today).

Its socialism with nationalist roots, my largest issue with it is that it promotes large government.
