You have to understand that the current progressives don't realise the contradictions in what they're saying. The main point of their passion is "women weak, man bad". So even though they SAY they think women have agency they don't actually believe it enough to let the women take responsibility.
It doesn't matter if he got consent, women can't be expected to be able to give consent and it's always the man's fault if something happens because he is strong and bad while the woman is innocent and weak.
All their bullshit is easy to understand if you just get this core concept (that they will never admit to).
