Since the timeskip in the comics I've been waiting for the pieces to fall into place. It's been about 50 issues now and that still hasn't happened. It's just been a string of unrelated events.
People keep parroting this. What they actually mean is that characters story arcs all became the same and boring. There hasn't been one good character interaction in the past nine episodes apart from some of the Negan stuff, and he's been totally under-utilised.
